The good news is that a winner will still emerge by this evening.

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, where he was received by some governors of the south east.

He, however, did not inspect the Guard of Honour mounted in his honour by soldiers of the Nkwoagu Military Cantonment, Abakaliki. It was gathered that his failure to inspect the Guard of Honour was to safe time for other numerous engagements lined up for his visit.

In few years to come Nigeria population will hit a billion, with no serious plans being laid to combat the crises that will confront the largest black nation on earth.
Gullible youths continue to deceive themselves on an old dullard who instead of providing developments that will combat the future threat of the nation, continue to send gunboats and fighter jets to areas that needs real developments after their lands have been left infertile by wicked leaders including the present ones.
There is no doubt that Nigeria will be worst if they continue with the present crop of visionless and irresponsible leaders in power today who have no plans for the children of tomorrow.
Economic Restructuring is the answer to all this mirage of problems. Let every region control her resources, this will encourage healthy competition among the various regions.
Politics › Nigeria Will Overtake India As World’s Poorest People by 2018 by KEVIND(op): 11:21am On Nov 13, 2017
A non-governmental organisation in Vienna, World Poverty Clock, funded by the German government and led by Homi Kharas, deputy director of the Brookings Institution in the US, and Wolfgang Fengler, a World Bank lead economist, is predicting that Nigeria will overtake India as the country with one of the world’s poorest people.
A Financial Times’ report below revealed that an estimated 47m people, almost equivalent to the population of Colombia, are likely to escape extreme poverty this year. But that will not be enough to get anywhere near the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal of ending extreme poverty — defined as living on less than $1.90 a day at 2011 purchasing power parity prices — by 2030.
By 2030, there will be 200m fewer people living in extreme poverty than there are today. However, 438m, or 5 per cent of the world’s population, will still be below the extreme poverty line. This year, for example, the extreme poverty level is rising in 30 countries; in these nations a total of 9m more people will be living in extreme poverty at the end of 2017 than 12 months previously.
“Very few countries in Africa are making fast enough progress on ending poverty, and in two large countries, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo, their populations are growing faster than their economic growth, so poverty will likely continue to rise,” Mr Kharas said. “We need a dramatic break from current trends in over 30 countries in order to end poverty worldwide.”
Nigeria’s population in extreme poverty is rising by 5.7 people per minute and that in DRC by 3.6 people per minute. The rest of Africa is reducing poverty by 4.7 people per minute. The situation in Nigeria is such that in February next year it will overtake India as having the most people living in extreme poverty in the world, at 82m, the clock predicts.
The forecasts are compiled from hundreds of data sets, including figures from national governments, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Mr Kharas said it was important to address the challenge, “not in global terms, and instead to look at it country-by-country”.
“We may be able to accept that small pockets of poverty remain in some countries — in fact some poverty is present even in the richest countries — but we want to avoid any individual countries, even ones with small populations, being in deep poverty,” he said.
The UN’s SDG is unlikely to be met because, globally, the rate of poverty reduction is slowing — largely on account of Asia getting close to ending extreme poverty. Meanwhile, many parts of Africa are making insufficient progress, the clock reveals.
The extreme poverty rate in Africa will drop from 34 per cent this year to 23 per cent in 2030, the clock predicts. But the absolute number is likely to be only slightly lower than what it is now because of population growth.

Politics › You Are Biased In Your Anti- Corruption Campaign - Arewa Youth To Buhari by KEVIND(op): 11:20am On Oct 26, 2017
KADUNA— Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, has accused the government of President Muhammadu Buhari of selective justice in the fight against corruption.
Citing the case of the former governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa, who is standing trial alongside the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd), President of the Forum, Alhaji Yerima Shettima, wondered why other people accused of receiving money were let off the hook.

He told newsmen in Kaduna, yesterday: “There seems to be concerted efforts to turn the tables against Dr. Bafarawa.
“To single him out for trial amounts to selective justice, which is harmful to democracy and the Rule of Law.
“Records at the disposal of our forum indicate that while the five other politicians have no evidence of whether they disbursed the monies given to them during the campaigns as promised or not, Bafarawa did pay all the stakeholders he was assigned to pay, through electronic funds transfer.
“Instead of pocketing the money for personal gains, Bafarawa decided to pay up as appropriate and even made voluntary additional contribution of N200,000 from his private savings.”
He alleged that Bafarawa is not being subjected to “established procedures of investigation, thereby making the agencies in charge of the case vulnerable to selective justice” and called for an immediate correction in the processes in the spirit of fair play.

Politics › Another Lie, Buhari Approves Payment Of Pension To Biafran Ex-service Men. by KEVIND(op): 8:43am On Oct 21, 2017
By Charles Ogbu.

During the Biafran war, thousands of Igbos serving in the Nigerian armed forces switched over to fight on the side of their Biafran brethren. The then head of state, Yakubu Gowon announced their sack. The war was later won and lost.
When President Obasanjo came on board, he approved the conversion of the sack of Biafran ex-service men to retirement, making them eligible for pension and other benefits. That decision was officially gazzeted.
During the immediate past govt, the Otueke born Zoologist, President Jonathan, continued the payment of their pension in batches. In fact, Jonathan, it was, who made sure the ex-Biafran police and military men were treated as though they served 35 years on Nigerian side before retiring.
The report that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the payment of pension to Biafran ex-service men is nothing but one of those demonic propaganda for which the Buhari govt has come to be identified with.
What happened few days ago was that the office of the Pension Board known as PTAD stumbled upon 167 names, (just 167) of the Biafran ex-service men who were cleared since 2014 but yet to be paid.
Just 167!
Buhari # ChildrenOfChange simply hijacked the story and went to the village CNN square with the very misleading impression that Buhari has approved the payment of pension to Biafran ex-service men.
What is Buhari's business with the routine duty of the Pension Board?
Why should any right thinking Igbo man or woman expect Ndigbo to roll out the drum for Buhari simply because the Pension Board stumbled upon the names of 167 Biafrans who were biometically cleared to receive pension years ago especially after what this same Buhari did to Igbo youths in Abia state few weeks ago with his supporter of APC army??
Have we suddenly lost our dignity as Ndigbo?
Why should we praise an ethno-religious bigot who was busy directing World Bank to his Northern region at the exact time he was directing his murderous army to our own region to kill, maim and drown ushuh

THE ASABA MASSACRE

The Federal troops entered Asaba around October 5, and began ransacking houses and killing civilians, claiming they were Biafran sympathisers. Leaders summoned the towns people to assemble on the morning of October 7, hoping to end the violence through a show of support for "One Nigeria." Hundreds of men, women, and children, many wearing the ceremonial akwa ocha (white) attire paraded along the main street, singing, dancing, and chanting "One Nigeria." At a junction, men and teenage boys were separated from women and young children, and gathered in an open square at Ogbe-Osowa village.
Federal troops revealed machine guns, and orders were given, reportedly by Second-in-Command, Maj. Ibrahim Taiwo , to open fire. It is estimated that more than 700 men and boys were killed, some as young as 12 years old, in addition to many more killed in the preceding days.
The bodies of some victims were retrieved by family members and buried at home. But most were buried in [mass grave]]s, without appropriate ceremony. Many extended families lost dozens of men and boys.
Federal troops occupied Asaba for many months, during which time most of the town was destroyed, many women and girls were raped or forcibly "married," and large numbers of citizens fled, often not returning until the war ended in 1970.

SUSPECT:

Ibrahim B. Haruna has sometimes been named as the officer who ordered the massacre, following a report of his testimony to the Nigerian Human Rights Violations Investigations Commission, known as the Oputa Panel.

Crime › Prison Authorities kills Smart Ohuzu (Awaiting Trial prisoner)Yesterday, by KEVIND(op): 6:04am On Sep 27, 2017
Prison Authorities Out of Negligence kills Smart Ohuzu (Awaiting Trial prisoner)Yesterday, another one happened. This is the worst. This time is a young man who was just remanded in Prison by a Delta State Magistrate court.

Health › Should You Drink Cold Or Warm Water To Boost Your Metabolism? by KEVIND(op): 7:11am On Sep 25, 2017
It is a healthy tip that you should drink water first thing in the morning, to unlock health benefits, including that of weight loss. Some people like to drink warm water, because it is easier for the body to absorb warm water and it is more soothing to the stomach. But others prefer to drink water with ice water, as they believe that cold water kicks the body’s metabolism into gear.

Which is Better? Cold Water or Warm Water to Boost Your Metabolism? There is something to be said for drinking warm or cold water. Drinkinga glass of ice water burns some calories, but not that much. As per the University of Washington, you burn 8 more calories for every one cup of cold water you drink, as compared to drinking one cup of room temperature water.
The reason you burn more calories when drinking cold water, as compared to room temperature water, is because your body is burning energy, to keep your temperature at 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are trying to lose weight, those extra 8 calories, even ifyou drink a number of glasses of cold water daily, do not amount to much.

This may sound significant, but the reality is that drinking water, whether it is cold or warm, will help boost your metabolism, prevent overeating and save you calories over soda or other sugary drinks.Although a warm cup of water may feel soothing to your stomach, there is no evidence to suggest that the body absorbs it any differently than ifit was cold.
Always remember that drinking water, is more important to your health and well-being than the temperature at which it is served.

Politics › Biafra: Eastern Consultative Assembly To Honour Nnamdi Kanu In October by KEVIND(op): 9:35am On Sep 23, 2017
Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB is set to be honoured by Eastern Consultative Assembly

- The role Kanu played in the recent agitation for restructuring in Nigeria is said to have warranted the honour

- A book title How Nnamdi Kanu restructured Nigeria will be presented during the ceremony

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, will be honoured by the Eastern Consultative Assembly (ECA) in October.

Kanu will be honoured during the presentation of a book entitled “How Nnamdi Kanu Restructured Nigeria”, the Nation reports.

Mrs Maria Okwor, deputy leader of ECA said: “The book produced by the ECA, documents the travails, the journey and frustrations in the spirited attempt by good men and women to save Nigeria from collapse, through a holistic restructuring of the polity back to true federalism and regional autonomy.

“The book reveals how Nigeria is crippled by an over-powerful center, prebendalism, unitary structure, ethnic divisions, corruption and ill-fitting military constitution.”

Mrs Okwor noted: “The book also recalls the struggles by Late Anthony Enahoro, Late Abraham Adesanya, Late Rotimi Williams, Late Tunji Braithwaite etc. to reconstruct and redesign Nigeria through a wholesome restructuring of the polity that will throw up a new people’s constitution that would be affirmed at a referendum.

“The book exposes the reasons why enemies of progress have consistently killed reports of past national conferences, just so they could continue to hold Nigerians hostage and deny the people opportunity to take back their country from the vicious cabal that believes they are born to rule and dominate others forever.

“Kanu is being honoured for achieving under two years the restructuring of Nigeria, something that seemed impossible just two years ago.

“As every group and government has set up their own committee on restructuring, going round organizing public hearings/sittings, the unborn generations of Nigeria will forever remain grateful to Nnamdi Kanu for moving the restructuring agenda from the realm of speculation into reality, something he achieved at great sacrifice.

I wonder why Easterners are claiming sudden brotherhood with the tribes in the Niger Delta region. Many of the Niger Delta tribes, including the Ijaws that were the Igbo's in the old a eastern region, even fought against the Igbos during the civil war. Don't ever think any sane Niger Delta man will want to be part of an Igbo-dominated Biafra?

For now the Hausas are the parasites. In Biafra, the Igbos will be the parasites. The Igbos will do exactly what the Hausa's are doing now in Biafra just like they did in the old Eastern region. Or do you think the average Niger Delta is too daft to figure that out? Neither are we too draft too to know that a Niger Delta republic is our best choice if this country decided to break up.
I don't need to prove where I come from to you,cos its always difficult for all the parasites to believe some of us love our direct neighbours more than we love those parasites from the North even Asari Dokubo acknowledge it.A country where every component unit will control their God given resources (CONFEDERAL SYSTEM)- I believe in the old Eastern Region more than I do with Nigeria. Hard but you've to deal with it. I'll rather co-own a country with a peace loving people than stay with an average Hausa/Fulani who will slaughter me and dislodge my village because someone somewhere in Denmark draw a cartoon of their Prophet.

You Easterners better keep your Biafra to Igbo land. If a referendum will ever be conducted in Niger Delta, it will be in the Igbo-speaking part of the Niger Delta. The other tribes of the South South region have warned you Igbo's to stay off their lands. Abi dem tell Una say Niger Delta nor go fit go form their own country too. Before Biafra, there was a Niger Delta Republic.
so in you dreams you believed an average South South or the artificial Creation (Niger delta ) by Hausa/Fulani military men are comfortable with parasites like you. If we're comfortable with your parasitic nature why the did the likes of Tompolo,Asiri Dokubo, Saro Wiwa etc asking the parasitic Hausa/Fulani to stop stealing our resources. I believe you don't know anything about history. I can't disown my brothers in the southeast whether you like it it or not.
