Brother You're just fulfilling Prophecy.

1Timothy 4:2-4. it reads:

'Such teachings are spread by deceitful liars, whose consciences are dead, as if burnt with a hot iron. 3 Such people teach that it is wrong to marry and to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten, after a prayer of thanks, by those who are believers and have come to know the truth. 4 Everything that God has created is good; nothing is to be rejected, but everything is to be received with a prayer of thanks'.

Politics › Biafra And South Sudan. by KEVIND(op): 2:04pm On Jun 25, 2017
i am not in support of any clamour for secession because there's strength in our diversity. we can maximise it. but i don't understand why we tend to use south sudan as template when we have other countries that got their independence from 1990 and they're doing quite fine.

Since the year 1990, 34 new countries have been created. The dissolution of the USSR and Yugoslavia in the early 1990s lead to the creation of most of the newly independent states. You probably know about many of these changes, but a few of these new countries seem to slip by almost unnoticed. This comprehensive listing will update you about the countries which have formed since.
UNION OF SOVIET SOCIALIST REPUBLICS
Fifteen new countries became independent with the dissolution of the USSR in 1991.
Most of these countries declared independence a few months preceding the fall of the Soviet Union in late 1991:

Yugoslavia dissolved in the early 1990s into five independent countries:

Family › Words Of Wisdom About Marriage. by KEVIND(op): 7:45am On Jun 21, 2017
WORDS FROM A FATHER TO A SON ABOUT MARRIAGE
1. My son, if you keep spending on a woman and she never asked you if you’re saving or investing, and she keeps enjoying the attention, don’t marry her.
2. My son, a woman could be a good wife to you, some could be a good mother to your children but if you’ve found a woman like a mother to you, your children and your family, please don’t let her go.
3. My son, don’t confine the position of your wife to the kitchen, where did you get that from? Even in our days, we had farm-lands where they worked every morning . . . that was our office.
4. My son, if I tell you that you’re the head of the house, don’t look at your pocket; look if you will see a smile on your wife’s face.
5. My son, if you want to have a long life, let your wife be in-charge of your salary, it will be difficult for her to spend it when she’s aware of the home needs and bills to pay but if it’s in your care, she will keep you asking even when all has been spent.
6. My son, don’t ever beat your woman, the pain in her body is nothing to be compared to the wound on her heart and that means you may be in trouble living with a wounded woman.
7. My son, now that you’re married, if you live a bachelor kind of life with your wife, you will soon be single again.
8. My son, in our days, we had many wives and many children because of our large farm-lands and many harvests, there are hardly any land for farming anymore, so embrace your woman closely.
9. My son, under the cocoa tree that I did meet your mother could be your eateries and restaurants of nowadays, but remember, the closet thing we did there was to embrace each other.
10. My son, don’t be carried away when you start making more money, instead of spending on those tiny legs that never knew how hard you worked to get it, spend it on that woman that stood by you all along.
11. My son, when I threw little stones or whistled at the window of your mother father’s house, to call her out, it was not for sex, it was because I missed her so much.
12. My son, remember, when you say your wife has changed, there could be something you’ve stopped doing too.
13. My son, your mother, Asake rode the bicycle with me before I bought that tortoise car outside there, any woman that won’t endure with you in your little beginning should not enjoy your riches.
14. My son, don’t compare your wife to any woman, there are ways she’s enduring you too and has she ever compared you to any man?
15. My son, there is this thing you people call feminism, well, if a woman claim to have equal right with you in the house, divide all the bills into two equal parts, take one part and ask her to start paying the other part.
16. My son, I met your mother a virgin and I took more yams to her father, if you don’t meet your wife a virgin, don’t blame her, what I didn’t tell you is that our women had prestige.
17. My son, I didn’t send your sisters to school because I was foolish like many to think a female child won’t extend my family name, please don’t make that mistake, the kind of female achievers I see nowadays has made the male-gender an ordinary tag.
18. My son, your mother have once locked up the cloth I was wearing and almost tore it because she was angry, I did not raise my hand to beat her because of a day like this, so that I can be proud to tell you that I never for once beat your mother.
19. My son, in our days, our women had more of natural beauty, though I wouldn’t lie to you, some had minor painting of their appellation mostly on their arms, the ones you people now call tattoo, but don’t forget that they didn’t expose any part of their body like your women of nowadays.
20. My son, your mother and I are not interested in what happens in your marriage, try to handle issues without always coming to us.
21. My son, remember I bought your mother’s first sewing machine for her, help your wife achieve her dreams just as you’re pursuing yours.
22. My son, don’t stop taking care of me and your mother, it’s a secret of growing old and having children to take care of you too.
23. My son, pray with your family, there is a tomorrow you don’t know, talk to God that knows everything, everyday.

Politics › Who Will Protect Nigeria’s Northern Christians? by KEVIND(op): 8:47am On Jun 03, 2017
THE article below was written by DOUGLAS MURRAY, Associate Director of neoconservative British think tank, the Henry Jackson Society. A slightly longer version of it appeared in The Spectator, a UK magazine, in February. It contains extremely serious allegations. Nigerian authorities need to respond.Another day in Northern Nigeria, another Christian village reeling from an attack by the Muslim Fulani herdsmen who used to be their neighbours – and who are now cleansing them from the area. The locals daren’t collect the freshest bodies. Some who tried earlier have already been killed, spotted by the waiting militia and hacked down or shot. The Fulani are watching everything closely from the surrounding mountains. Every week, their progress across the Northern states of Plateau and Kaduna continues.Every week, more massacres – another village burned, its church razed, its inhabitants slaughtered, raped or chased away. A young woman, whose husband and two children have just been killed in front of her, tells me blankly, ‘Our parents told us about these people. But we lived in relative peace and we forgot what they said.’For the outside world, what is happening to the Christians of Northern Nigeria is both beyond our imagination andbeneath our interest. These tribal-led villages, each with their own ‘paramount ruler’, were converted by missionaries in the 19th and 20th centuries. But now theseChristians…sense that they have become unsympathetic figures, perhaps even an embarrassment, to the West. The international community pretends that this situation is a tit-for-tat problem, rather thana one-sided slaughter.Meanwhile, in Nigeria, the press fails to report or actively obscures the situation. Christians in the south of the country feel little solidarity with their co-religionists suffering from this Islamic revivalism and territorial conquest in the north. And worst of all, the plight of these people is of no interest to their own government. In fact, this ethnic and religious cleansing appearsto be taking place with that government’s complicity or connivance. Every village hasa similar story. A few days before any attack, a military helicopter is spotted dropping arms and other supplies into the areas inhabited by the Fulani tribes. Then the attack comes……The village of Goska was attacked on Christmas Eve. In a temporary shelter nearby, a young man describes how he rantowards his home when he heard the attack start. There he found his mother lying dead on the floor. Uniformed Fulani militia were everywhere. He fled across the fields……Across the surviving Christian villages of the north, thousands have been killed and hundreds of thousands have been displaced……Villages have been persuaded to keep records of the attacks to show anyone whocares. One of the very few from outside who does – Britain’s own Baroness Cox – came here recently. Her vehicle was spotted by the Fulani, who came out hunting for her and only just missed their target. Because of attacks like this, almost nobody comes. Just one more reason why these atrocities do not attract the West’s attentions. The task of chronicling the outrages continues nonetheless. Village leaders keep ring-binders of their dead. Some havephotograph albums of what their villages have been through: old women set alight; young women raped and shot; babies hacked to death……A villager takes me to the bridge where the village leader and 13 others were recently gunned down in a Fulani ambush. Nigerian Army troops watched the whole thing from their base a couple of hundred yards away – just as they did the destruction of another Christian village, theremains of which sit, burned out and silent, right opposite them. The army seems to have no interest in protecting the Christians, while the government in Abuja appears to care more about passing new laws on cattle-rustling than on protecting human lives. When challenged after a massacre, soldiers often claim that they didn’t receive any orders – or had been commanded not to intervene. In a line that’s parroted by some NGOs, the government says that this is a land or agricultural dispute. Yet it is the Christian communities who are being systematicallyforced off it. If anybody wanted to find the culprits, they could find them living and farming on the land they have stolen. But such arrests never happen. The complicity between the army and the Fulani is obvious. Between Barakin-Ladi and Riyom – in sight of another army post – is a sacked Christian village which localssay now acts as a Fulani arms dump. The world’s indifference gives the Nigerian government the advantage in what looks like a quiet effort to rid northern Nigeria of its Christians. The moment three years ago when Boko Haram abducted 300 Christian schoolgirls from the north-east and ‘Bring Back Our Girls’ briefly trended on Twitter was the closest this situation has come to catchingthe world’s attention……But similar atrocities go on all the time. At an IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) camp Deborah, 31, describes the 18 months she spent held captive by the group. When they burst into her village, theIslamists killed her husband and the rest ofher family, forcibly converted her and ‘married’ her off to one of their 20-year-old fighters. He complained about her bad temper and argumentativeness, but he stillraped her, producing the nine-month-old boy now suckling at her breast. A Christianpastor has urged her to love and cherish the boy as though he was her murdered husband. The first time she escaped from Boko Haram, she was recaptured and lashed 80 times as punishment. At least she is now unafraid of death. ‘What sort of death would I be running from?’ she asks. ‘I have already died once.’ At night, she says, a military plane would sometimes appear over Boko Haram’s camp and drop off supplies. ‘Look what powerful friends we have,’ her husband would boast as he pointed to the lights in the sky above.Even if the Nigerian Army does not supportBoko Haram, elements of it certainly do. Whenever an actual operation against the group is planned, they are always tipped off by forces within the country’s security apparatus.…If the international community meant anything by its promises such as the UN’s ‘responsibility to protect’ doctrine, then what is happening could not go on. But the international community is uninterested. Governments like ours are uninterested. The world’s media is uninterested…The Christians of Nigeria are alone…

Politics › Avoid Repression Of Biafra Day Protests, Amnesty Tells Nigerian Security Forces by KEVIND(op): 9:59am On May 30, 2017
The Nigerian security forces must exercise restraint when policing demonstrations marking the 50th Anniversary of the end of the BiafraWar on 30 May, and avoid a repetition of the bloodbath caused by their heavy-handed response last year when more than 60 peoplewere gunned down, said Amnesty International on Tuesday.“Last year’s heavy-handed response against pro-Biafra activists further stirred up tensions in the south-east of Nigeria. The reckless approach to crowd controlfavoured by the security forces when policing peaceful pro-Biafra protests has left more than 150 dead since August 2015, not to mention cases of enforced disappearance and unlawful detention,” said Osai Ojigho, Director of Amnesty International Nigeria.“We urge the Nigerian security agencies to conduct themselves in a manner that will ensure public order without resorting to force.”During peaceful Biafra Day celebrations last year in Onitsha, Anambra State, soldiers shot people in several locations. Amnesty International research concluded that at least 60 extra-judicial executions were committedin the space of two days, with a further 70 people injured. The real number is likely to be higher.“Despite overwhelming evidence that members of the Nigerian security forces fired live ammunition with little or no warningto disperse pro-Biafra gatherings, resulting in the death of at least 150 people, no person suspected ofcriminal responsibility has been brought to justice,” said Osai Ojigho.A similar pattern of lack of accountability for gross violations by security forces has been documented in other parts of Nigeria including the northeast in the context of operations against Boko Haram.“Amnesty International has repeatedly called on the government of Nigeria to initiate independent investigations into allegations of crimes under international law. President Buhari has repeatedly promised that thesewould be looked into. However, no progress has been made,” said OsaiOjigho. In November 2016, Amnesty International warned that the Nigerian government’s massive deployment of the military to respond to pro-Biafra events seemsto be in large part to blame for the violence as they have no specific training in crowd control. Instead, public order during peaceful protests should be dealt with by thepolice, whose officers should be adequately trained and equipped torespond to crowd-control situationswithout resorting to the use of lethal force.Recent arrests of peaceful pro-Biafra protestersThe security forces have already started clamping down on pro-Biafra groups ahead of the formal anniversary. On 22 May 2017, more than 100 members of the Movement for the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and Biafra Independent Movement (BIM) were arrested in Enugu, Ebonyi, and Cross Rivers states during similar celebrations.“We are calling for the immediate and unconditional release of all those who have been detained solely for peacefully expressing their political views or other exercises of their right to freedom of expression or peaceful assembly,” said Osai Ojigho. In a report released in November 2016 Amnesty International revealed that at least 150 peaceful pro-Biafra protesters were killed by the security forces between August2015 and August 2016.

Romance › Nigerian Men, Marry From Your Social Class by KEVIND(op): 12:59pm On Apr 23, 2017
I am not going to be nice today. I will be as proud as a peacock and speak like an aristocrat. I don’t care if you are offended. I think I need to be a little offensive so that you all can live happily ever after.
You see, I don’t just get why some men will have to force their wives to obey them. Why do you have to spit fire like sango before she submits to you?
Do you have to whip the Mrs. in your house to submission?
Hey, I don’t even need you to start quoting verses from the bible, the Quran or give me any traditional reasons for submission.
It’s because I know what all these religious books say and as a Nigerian, I know our traditional values.
I don’t think you have to force your spouse to submit to you. If you married the right person, you don’t even need to spell it out to that person, because love and submission come hand-in-hand.
You don’t have be an Idi Amin in your house before your spouse is at your beck and call.
Men should stop thinking that because they are men; they can just walk up to any woman and date her. They should not think, because they have a third leg, they can clip the wings of every woman they come across.
As a young child, I read beautiful love stories, from Cinderella marrying Prince Charming to Aladdin living happily ever after with Princess Jasmine.
I remember watching a Nigerian love story which title I can’t recall now, where a rich couple refused to betroth their daughter to a poor man. The man was hopelessly in love and the girl was smitten by him but the girl’s parents refused bluntly. I remember I wept watching that entire guy went through. But then, I was young and very foolish. I was told that love cuts across status. Yes, that’s what we were all told but in real life, such stories are not common. I have purged myself of all that gibberish and I now have a new orientation.
Believe me, I am romantic at heart and I love happily ever after stories. However, as I grew older, life has taught me a lot.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying this type of love doesn’t exist but only two in a hundred really work out.
I don’t blame rich parents who are protective of their wards; they have spent so much on them. Moreover, they also love these children and they are careful about who they end up with.
Let’s be a little sensible, you guys come from two different worlds and with different bank accounts. Someone from a lower class dating an upper class person might experience resentment and the upper class person might think the lower class person is a gold digger too. So, they already built their relationship on a faulty foundation.
If you have eyes for big women, please make sure you attain a certain level before you accommodate affection and if you can’t wait till then, then go cut your clothes according to your material.
Stop believing all the lies that a big girl will come down to your level; that she will suffer and remain patient with you until you become a rich man.
I have heard these stories of suffering and living happily ever after a thousand times.
Although, I won’t deny there are good love stories like that but they are very few.
Listen attentively. A man is wired to be the breadwinner. So, if you jam a desperate city chic who promises you she will finance the wedding, pay her own bride price and rent a flat where you will both live, don’t come ranting to everyone that she is not submissive. She can’t be, because she already got what she wanted and since you are not making the dough like many of her friend’s husbands, resentment will set in.
My guy, marriage is a lot different from courtship; forget all that lovey-dovey you guys are doing now.
Before you place that wedding band on her finger, she can kneel down while serving you meals, wash all your smelly boxers but when she gets what she wants, she will show you pepper. It’s not entirely her fault; many women have been taught that men should be the one with the status and power.
I am not preaching materialism here, but if the truth must be told, all women are materialistic no matter the class they belong, so there is no crime in being materialistic.
That’s why I am screaming here that you should marry from your class. Marry according to your pocket, so that you won’t have blood pressure when she starts making her demands.
But you won’t listen, because you have a taste for women whose skin glow like the morning sun, with beautiful trendy hair and well manicured nails.
However, have you asked yourself if you can maintain all that? Did she tell you her body cream alone cost half of your salary? She makes her hair every two weeks and do you know how much her human hair cost?
Moreover, you will have to be buying aso ebi every now and then. She won’t be settling for cheap ankara, because her friends don’t even wear ankara. They wear expensive lace, which comes in multiple thousands.
Remember, your mum and siblings are in the village waiting for the stipends you send to them monthly.
Now, let me move to another category, women who are well educated and men who are barely educated.
Are you one of those who are attracted to women who are a combination of beauty and brains? I am talking about confident women who call the shots in the boardroom. Some of these women look like they just walked out of a fashion magazine; they are well exposed and adventurous. I know you have been drooling and thinking that, because you are a man you can marry her and put her in your house. After all, she is a mere woman. If you want to live long, steer clear. If you are not in their class, let the big players take them to dinners at five star hotels. Oh, you don’t even have a car? These women don’t know how scorching the Lagos sun has been lately.
Okay, you have a car and no AC right? Ha, you tried now but taking that cosmopolitan chic in your rickety car with no AC is like driving through hell.
Bros, you are claiming you are sapio sexual abi? But what exactly is your qualification? How many degrees do you have? How many countries have you been to? I pity you. These sophisticated women are widely traveled and intelligent with two or more degrees and they are highly opinionated too. Don’t even think you can shut them down. They get bored with you if you can’t challenge them intellectually.
Please take a long deep breath and think very hard before you make that move.
Interestingly, these women are different from the model your mother comes from. They are free spirited, ambitious and they kick against everything the old model stands for.
For these women, their skills and intellectual prowess earn them economic independence that gives them a fulfilling life. They are progressive. The kitchen is not exciting to them and they will prefer to hire cooks than ruin their manicure. If you think you are punishing them by not eating their food that is like a bank holiday to them. The boardroom is more exciting than any other place in the world.
Oh, you think you can deal with her by denying her sex? A round of applause please, that’s a brilliant way to deal with a woman. Unfortunately, these ones won’t even miss you and they are not cheating with other men.
They are only sex smart; they have an alternative for sex too, yea! They are well informed about all the different types of intimacy gadgets.
However, if you are still bent on doing your will, ask yourself if you’re man enough for it. Can you suck in your entire male ego and walk the mile with her?
Although, some few ones might bend the rules along the line but many don’t. The fact is that you can’t change an adult.
So, think, seek your kind!
Stop climbing ladders to reach things above your means. Birds of same feathers flock together! You will do better with your kind! These women are not aliens, they are Nigerian women and they dwell among us.

Question 3:
I want to GH, but I keep getting a notification saying
"Your MAVRO are frozen or have "Unconfirmed" status, so you are not able to withdraw them. To have your Mavro confirmed, you should Provide Help."

Keep calm, means you have a running GH order, wait patiently till you're paired.

Question 4:
My GH order has been removed and mavros have been returned to "Confirmed" no longer pending. When I try to re-GH, it shows "0" mavros, what do I do?

Answer:
System Glitch.
Daily withdrawal limit exceeded ( not individual limit but total limit in the system)
Wait patiently till the next day and try again early enough.

Question 5:
Are we compelled to PH before we can GH??

Answer:
Any sensitive news as this will be communicated to us through our respective POs. Although participants are currently urged to PH tangible amounts in good faith to help the system stabilize faster, there's no compulsion at the moment.

Guiders are strongly moving a motion for this presently for effective sustainability of the system.

THIS SHOULD ANSWER ALL OUR QUESTIONS AT THE MOMENT.

REMEMBER,

MMM = Trust + Patience

Everything will be sorted in due time, an enormous amount of work is presently been put in by the programmers to ensure we get back fully, upgrades are on-going which explains 1 or 2 glitches/errors we might encounter from time to time.

We just need to continue believing in the system and instill confidence in our downlines, neighbours, friends and families.

MMM will be around for a long time and shall grow from strength to strength, ensure to be part of the growth process.

Together, bit by bit we're changing the world...
sent as received.
Politics › CORRUPTION: Stop Harrassing Mrs Jonathan, Yoruba Youths Tell EFCC by KEVIND(op): 4:49pm On Jan 16, 2017
THE Coalition of Yoruba Youths, CYY, yesterday stormed the Economic and Financiaal Crime Commission, EFCC, urging it to conduct thorough investigation on the former embattled First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan before smearing her name.

Stagging a peaceful protest at the Lagos office of the EFCC in Ikoyi, Lagos, the Yoruba group said the campaign of calumny against the former First Lady was uncalled for.

Addressing newsmen in Lagos, yesterday, leader of the group, Prince Usman Oyekan argued that the EFCC has gone contrary to its claim of commitment to the principles of rule of law.

EFCC boss Magu and Patience Jonathan
In a petition, the group said: “An Open petition by the Coalition of Yoruba Youths on the sinister plot by the EFCC to manufacture evidence against Dame Patience Jonathan, Nigeria’s former First Lady and President Africa First Lady Peace Mission.”

Alleging that there is an elaborate political scheme to silence Mrs Jonathan, Oyekan said: “For the sake of records, Dame Patience Jonathan does not engage in fraudulent or corrupt practices as she is being portrayed by some individuals with vested interest in President Buhari’s government. This is for no other reason than to envy the rising profile of former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, within and outside the shores of the country.”

In his response, Executive Chairman, Head of Economic Governance of the EFCC, Mohammad Issa Rabo, denied the allegation that the commission was out on a smear campaign against the former First Lady even as he assured that the commission would do its job thoroughly without witch-hunting or persecuting anyone.

Rabo said: “We are talking about Patience Jonathan, we are on it and we are investigating. We do not just call somebody for calling sake, we must have carried out our investigation thoroughly, so we assure you that we shall do as you have asked, we shall look into your complaints and we shall address the issue. We shall investigate thoroughly, before investigating anybody, no enemies carried of justice, no stone will be left unturned when it comes to issues of corruption. Your petition will also be forwarded to the executive chairman.”

Politics › Re: IS THE NORTH FEEDING FAT ON THE RESOURCES OF THE NIGER DELTA? by KEVIND(op): 3:45pm On Dec 21, 2016
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
*The Petroleum Equalization Fund was enacted to subsidize and bridge the gap in the sales of petroleum products from the south to north. (but we are in one country)
*The subsidy and abridgement are funded by the revenues from the sale of Niger Delta crude oil and gas.
* The repealed petroleum Trust Fund was used to develop the North more than the Niger Delta region and people.
*The university in Warri has a counterpart in the North training managers and Senior staff of government oil establishment, while the one in Warri is to train junior staff. Both are funded from Niger Delta purse.
* Top management positions including the current board of the NNPC are dominated by and skewed in favor of the North.
* The NNPC was established for the regulation and management of the oil and gas resources of the Niger Deltans yet its administration headquarters is in Abuja the capital and yet in what is today claimed as Northern territory. Why are these not in the Niger Delta to attract natural development.
* The strategic positioning of NNPC headquarters in Abuja is to give full and easy access to contractors of northern extraction to the disadvantage of contractors of the South.
OIL BLOCKS
Vast majority of oil blocks are owned by Northerners.
Niger Delta people only make ill-informed comments when they are willfully misinformed.
What is inciting is to say that when Niger Deltans such as myself give truthful and factual information to our people to enable them come out of the darkness and make the right decision, the jobbers come out to attempt to discredit me, l will rather the people make their decisions based on right information. The only thing that has incited the people of the Niger Delta from the colonial days to date is INJUSTICE, as Nigerian and if we truly love Nigeria we must speak the truth and call injustice by its name injustice.
Nigeria will gain nothing if we continue to twist the facts, Niger Delta has everything to lose if we continue to allow ourselves to be fooled by people we are smarter than.
As Niger Deltans who are blessed with so much wealth, we have no business with poverty, and should no longer continue to wallow in this level of poverty, it does not mean we don’t sympathize with people who refuse to exploit their wealth because they want to exhaust the Niger Delta wealth. We refuse to accept that we must be poor and remain undeveloped because others are not ready as it happened in the past. The confidence the Niger Delta people need now is the confidence of knowing that only the Niger Delta people are committed to securing and developing the Niger Delta.
I agree that Nigeria has the capacity to be great and maybe able to stay together but only when we have answered the age old question HOW DO WE STAY TOGETHER AND WHAT ARE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, Nigeria is also too big for 27 states to rely 100% on Niger Delta to provide their needs. If we don’t first make our states, regions and people better we lie if we say we can make the whole of Nigeria better.
We don’t know about any other but as bitter as it may sound Niger Delta is feeding Nigeria fat, everybody needs somebody but not to suck them to death. Niger Delta sleeves have been rolled up since 1958 when oil and gas were found in commercial quantity, what is wrong in wanting to roll our sleeves down bit and live in peace. What is wrong with Niger Delta people wanting to take care of themselves for a change?
ANNKIO BRIGGS is a Niger Delta activist who grew up in the creeks of the region and saw the neglect and suffering of her people, and desires only for equality, justice and equity for her people. She wrote from Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

Politics › IS THE NORTH FEEDING FAT ON THE RESOURCES OF THE NIGER DELTA? by KEVIND(op): 3:43pm On Dec 21, 2016
On the 15th of Dec 2016 my attention was drawn to Professor Ogunleye’s ‘Who Says The North is Feeding Fat on Nigeria?’ I was intrigued and looked forward to reading the piece especially as it is a contribution of not only a professor but one who has identified my piece of “the Injustice of Revenue Allocation.” I was excited because since the 29th of May 2015 all l have had to endure, put up with and sometimes respond to has been lies, threats, and time wasters on facebook, twitter, whatsapp, responses, from members and jobbers of a political party. People trying hard to discredit the facts and figures l contributed to national and Niger Delta discuss.
Unfortunately l was rather disappointed as like the others, Prof Ogunleye’s piece failed to discuss the truth of the facts that l raised, and rather tries to justify the very issues that the Niger Delta people of which l am one have raised against the federal government from the days of Isaac Adaka Boro and Ken Saro Wiwa. The Ogoni’s platform is the Movement of The Survival of the Ogoni People, the Ijaws the Ijaw Youth Movement, Movement for the Survival of Biafra People, the Asari lead movement, the Tompolo lead movement, and many others that gave birth to Movement of Emancipation of the Niger Delta, and the Annkio Briggs’ lead Non Violent Movement, Niger Delta Self Determination Movement, NDSDM and so many other credible movements that have emerged from the Niger Delta.
I have humbly just added my voice and commitment to my people’s call for equity, justice and freedom barely 19 years ago. I have tried to stay on the same path as my people, and leaders before me and l remain unapologetic. It is indeed a responsibility l owe not only to my Niger Delta region but to all other ethnic nationalities of Nigeria, especially the Niger Delta people, environment and region to refuse this injustice of accepting as a favor 13% of what is our God given resources of oil and gas, while 27 states which do not contribute oil and gas to the federal government pot get to take home more than the states that contribute over 95% of what is in the federal government pot.
For the sake of records l am a Niger Delta Rights agitator for equity, justice and freedom, not South South activist. It is unfortunate and a gross misinformation to impress on the long suffering people of the Niger Delta that all the sacrifices we have made since after the civil war, as we have watched everything on our land taken away by force of guns and force of pen through the 1999 constitution that we did not contribute to, just as we did not contribute to the amalgamation of the North and South into Nigeria by Lord Lugard.
It is worrisome to hear from Professor Ogunleye a Data Analyst who chairs the Nigeria’s Big Data Analytics and Innovation Conference that was hosted last week by the National Defense College Abuja, that a people who contribute over 95% of their God given wealth to the coffers of Nigeria should pretend that there is no justifiable correlations between what is taken away from the 9 oil and gas producing states and what they are disrespectfully given back as a favor, and what 27 states who produce no oil and gas get. The following is critical for my next dialogue, as by this and other statements the professor has indeed raised the bar of our demand for justice and equity.
‘The fact that the national Bureau of Statistics (NBS) data, on its own is sometimes incomplete, and almost impossible to do a robust analytics on- analytics that should provide insights on or help us to establish empirically patterns of relationship between the states’s contribution to the Nigeria federation coffers and the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee) FAAC allocations. To use the NBS data on its own, therefore, it is important to understand the methodological approach of the particular set of statistics before commenting on them. Without such understanding, we really cannot not say our comments are informed or even evidence-based.’ Professor Ogunleye.
The Niger Delta people are highly qualified and quite able to source for and read statistics, l am using the statistics as provided by the relevant and authorized government bodies. The Niger Delta people nor Annkio Briggs will be bamboozled with Prof Ogunleye’s inane statistics. He cannot have it both ways, first he does not want to rely on data from NBS referring to it as incomplete yet he goes ahead to use data from NBS, throughout his argument.
Was it a ‘thank you” that was operating in the 1960s, during cocoa, and groundnut, and until all became lazy and drunk on oil and gas as the only source of income except the owners of course the Niger Delta people.
I suppose the flawed census figures justify the claim that Kano is the largest state in Nigeria therefore justifies Kano state’s 44 LGAs to receive 44 shares of what Bayelsa state is bringing to the coffers of federal government 23.42% of oil and gas revenue, and getting only 8 LGA shares. The same justifications apply that Rivers state with 23 LGAs is getting only 23 shares of LGA allocations while bringing 29.58% to the federal government coffers.
The question Niger Delta people today are asking is this what is Kano state contributing to the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) from oil and gas or any other resources natural or otherwise? And based on the contributions what does the Kano State take home in State and LGA shares? What does Bayelsa or Rivers States contribute to the FAAC from oil and gas and how much do they take home.
When truth is turned into lies, it becomes very worrisome, if we can’t rely on the intellectual community to give us the facts we need to guide us as we demand for justice and equity it is the beginning of the end. Truth will outlive lies and confusion.
The next discussion Prof Ogunlese will have he should remember that we the Niger Delta people have not forgotten when the west kept 50% of what it produced. Our present day demand is based on our internationally recognized rights to ownership and control of our resources and to pay taxes to federal government. We are not unaware that this is possible with a new constitution, therefore we recommend that the Federal Government pick up the 2014 National Conference and all other relevant documents and l have no doubt that within the pages of the documents we will find that which will take us forward.
It is necessary we go down the path of law and the constitution, so when either Prof. Ogunleye or any other Prof or expert takes up the Niger Delta discuss we will have some critical and powerful points to reason through.
First question is does the federal take from the Niger Delta or does the Niger Delta take from the federal government? WHO IS FEEDING WHO? In section 162 (2), the flawed 1999 constitution provides the constitutional mechanism for sharing of the federation account established in section 162(1). Section 162(2) thereof has set out the things the National Assembly has to consider before enacting a revenue allocation formula for sharing of the federation account, ie Landmass, population, continuity of states, terrain etc.
The 13% given to us the owners by virtue of the provision to section 162(2) the balance of 87% is shared based on the landmass, population, continuity of states, etc, all of these provisions were written into the constitution by the north for the north, that is the landmass, population density and continuity of states, and a fortiori attracts more allocation to the north from the 87%.
The north has 2 extra states, and 419 LGAs while the south has 17 states and 355 LGAs by this claim to these flawed figures the north gets more of the 87%. From June 30th 1999 to date the Niger Delta has relinquished large percentage of the balance of 87% to the north 17 YEARS, if l dare to fish out the figures Prof Ogunleye is likely to argue that the NBS data is unreliable.
Ultimately the Niger Delta region does feed all the regions in Nigeria, especially the north, the major and direct beneficiary of the provision of Section 162(2)REGARDING THE SHARING FORMULA OF THE FEDERATION ACCOUNT.

Man At Lagos Burnt His Voter’s Card Said Votes Don’t Count Under Buhari Govt
A m.
A man at ikotun general market located at ikotun egbe in side alimosho l.g.a of lagos state openly set his voters card on fire his reasons are :
our votes don’t count under buhari’s government just see what happens at edo and ondo you will know that every election done under this govt is 120% corruption and full master minded rigging.
so why will i go and stand under the sun where as the whole election and results have been concluded before the election day.
tell me who in his right sense will vote for APC in any state with the way the APC at federal has crumbled the economy of Nigeria our only country.
APC and buhari are only after power and they even come out openly to say it that they will do everything to win all the states in Nigeria using their federal power.
They are now saying that they have Edo and Ondo the next in line are Ekiti, Rivers, Delta, Balyesa and Anambra state.
and they have the full plan to get all this states.
so why are we still voting when all the votes are worthless.
The worst is that they are not even planing on how to fix the economical meltdown of the country. if you ask they will say there is no money but on any election campaigns they will spend billions of dollars.
please this government is a total disappointment just allow the voters card to burn and let me forget ever voting for buhari. .http://abujareporters.com.ng/read-what-man-who-burnt-his-voters-card-in-ikotun-lagos-has-to-say-about-elections-under-buhari/

If you marry the right person, u will be complete... but if u marry the wrong person u will be finished
What did you mean by marrying the wrong or right person? becaues superficial qualities like beauty, money, fame, education etc are the criteria use to measure the 'RIGHT' person in our contemporary world.

Politics › How APC Turned Our Graduates To Conductors – Reno by KEVIND(op): 5:36pm On Nov 07, 2016
On March 19, 2014, the then opposition All Progressive Congress, APC, criticized the unemployment situation under then President Jonathan and accused him of not doing anything concrete to help Nigerian youths get employed.
The APC in a statement said the Jonathan administration ‘has no social security or any form of safety net for the vulnerable army of the unemployed.’
This was despite the fact that that administration had set up the Youth With Innovation in Nigeria (YouWIN) scheme to assist Nigerian youths who had good business ideas with training and funding so they could start a business instead of depending on either government or the private sector for a job.

Around Nigeria, approximately 4,000 Nigerian youths got business training from the Lagos Business School and received grants of between 2 million and 10 million Naira (at that time worth between $12,000 to $50,000) to start their own businesses.

This is aside the 41,000 graduates who benefited from the Graduate Internship Scheme of that administration which placed Nigerian graduates with employers who could not afford to pay them so the youths could get experience while the government paid them.

The Jonathan administration also set up two ICT Incubation Centers, one in Lagos and the other in Calabar to enhance and grow the ideas and innovations of Nigerian youths into viable globally recognized businesses.

It is worthy of note that when Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg visited Nigeria, the first place he chose to visit was the Co-Creation Hub (CCHUB) a brainchild of the Jonathan administration.
So, having criticized a government that did so much to spur youth innovation and employment, one would have thought that the APC would do better than the previous Peoples Democratic Party government of President Goodluck Jonathan. So, you can then imagine my shock when it was revealed that the APC government planned to recruit Nigerian university graduates as bus conductors!
Really? Bus conductors? And these are the people that tore the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan to shreds with criticism? How sad!

I have one question for the APC. If graduates are to be conductors, then who will drive the buses? PhD and Masters holders?

But it is really ridiculous!

President Goodluck Jonathan gave graduates between ₦2m to ₦12 million each to start businesses and the APC ridiculed him and called him clueless. Today, the clue-full APC is giving graduates ₦50k to be conductors. Jonathan saw youths as businessmen which is why he empowered them to start businesses, but today the APC see youths as conductors. All I can say is welcome to the new Nigeria!

But on second thoughts, it all makes perfect sense when you think about it.

I now understand why the APC is turning our graduates to conductors. APC promised change and suddenly realized that it is conductors who collect change! So while the children of APC big wigs get plum jobs and juicy contracts, your children are ‘blessed’ with the opportunity to collect change! As far as they are concerned, the APC has fulfilled their campaign promises!

Someone told me that the APC has not created jobs and has even lost the jobs created by the Jonathan government and cited the report by the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics which revealed that 4.58 million Nigerians have lost their jobs under President Buhari.

However, I disagreed with that person and said the APC has created jobs. When the person asked me what jobs my response was as follows – Examples of jobs APC has created for graduates: (a) Bus Conductors (b) Masquerade Dressers (c) Speech Plagiarizers and (d) which is specially for women; It is called Special Assistant on ‘Other Room’ and Kitchen Duties!

It is so sad that in less than two years we have gone from Graduate Internship Scheme to Graduate Bus Conductor Scheme. Alas, alas!
