We could possibly go through with the relatively decent goal difference but even that doesn't excite me. The whole thing is pretty pointless when the refs can just award a penalty to a European team and have it retaken when missed.

Seems like a farce to me.

France players encroached into the box during the second penalty but somehow VAR didn't pick that.

I don't know what you guys are saying. That's a clear penalty. If na Nigeria den foul, u'll be barking like a mad dog up and down. It's a clear pk. And about the retake, it's a new law, it has also occur in this tournament. Get your fact right before spewing rubbish.
Stfu

Mumu, white man assss licker. All neutral forums around the world are in agreement that that was a farce of an officiating yet here you are trying to justify it. I'm sure if you were born centuries ago you will be at the forefront selling your fellow blacks to the whites as slaves

Fuckkinng sell out.

What's the point in getting to the second round when the refs can easily award a penalty to a European team and have it retaken if missed. A farce of a tournament.

I hate rooting for the big dogs but I'm all for USA trashing chile today. I believe chile are our direct rivals for the 4 best third place teams so basically the more the damage to their goal difference the better for us.
FamilyRe: My Advice To Fathers On Fathers Day. by KevinDein: 3:53pm On Jun 16, 2019
BTW, why are some of you incapable of saying something pleasant about men without bringing in a "but". I mean today is Father's Day why can't you just complement fathers for all their sacrifices without mentioning their flaws? I don't see or hear people say "Happy Mother's Day, women, but..."; and don't tell me women don't have their flaws.

I swear men can't just seem to catch a break.

sassysure:
That is where most fathers get it all wrong.
If your present job deprives you of time with your children, change it asap Even if it means relocating.
The children are affected by that. They actually want YOU and not the money(most parents find this very hard)
Ask any child especially male children what they enjoyed most with their fathers while young. They will tell you they enjoyed when they spent time with them.

Can you see why male child is mostly drawn to the mum? Most love their mum more than their wives.
Simply because mummy made out time for them.

I always encourage fathers to enter kitchen on their days off with their male children. No male child will ever forget that his daddy cooked for them. Bath and tuck them in for the night.

U only train your children from 0 to 9 to 10 yrs.
It's a pity lots of dad's miss on this important milestones in their children's lives.
Yeah, I love how you just said "..change it asap"

I think most people here are really disconnected from the reality of the country. Jobs are not that easy to come by.
FamilyRe: My Advice To Fathers On Fathers Day. by KevinDein:
Trust me op some fathers genuinely want to spend time with their children but they just can't help it. Not when a father has to leave home by 5-6 am, to beat traffic, for work and return home by 9-10pm because of traffic.

Fathers are opting, against their wishes most times, not to spend much time with their children just so they could provide much better lives for them. Of course they risk not being a favorite parent but It's a sacrifice they are willing to make.

These guys are the unsung heroes.

Cameroon really being cheated by this Australian ref. Unbelievable bias that even TV replays are showing fouls upon fouls going unpunished. Luckily, Cameroon is still in the game 1-1 at half time.
And the Dutch fans had the nerves to constantly boo Cameroon's no 7.

dude let me just educate u a little...25 million Americans used hard drugs in d past month alone...70,000 Americans die from drug overdose every year...124 Americans commit suicide every day(d reported ones o)...suicide is neither a crime nor an abomination in the western world like it is in AFR ica..Euthanasia..that is willful medical suicide is lawful in most of d western world...so tell me man..which pple use drugs most nd support suicide..Africans or westerers ?
Any source for those numbers?

Regardless, that that much people used drugs or that much people committed suicide does not mean the west support them. Those incidences happen DESPITE the West's best efforts to curb them not because they SUPPORT them as you are trying to allude. America, for example, has the drug enforcement agency (DEA) charged with fighting illicit drugs.

Both Ronaldo and Kaka were much bigger stars than Hazard. Both were Ballon D'or winners. No surprise here.

that I was born in Africa...though I'm not poor or suffering... but my mentality more western than African...i'm an atheist to start with..i preach drug use nd support suicideI support being single for life if u wish to..I'm particularly passionate about family planning..couples do rather abort a baby..or better still use contraceptives than bring babies to this world esp to this cursed Africa to suffer...I would never be desperate to have a male child like most African men do just to continue their lineage..who careshuhinfact I love female babies..they just so cute and tender..i strongly hate big ceremonies from weddings to burials to parties...e.t.c..e.t.c...but las las i don't support homosexuality... not based on morals..just cus I'm as straight as six O'Clock
This comment doesn't even make sense and even more so the emboldened. You are more western yet you support drug use and suicide despite the fact that the west invest a lot in the fight against drugs and have help lines for individuals with suicidal tendencies.

You probably aren't as western as you think. You just think you are because it makes you feel cool.

Watching the France-Norway game and I gotta say the quality of play is insanely high (for women football, that is). By and large we are in the same group with two teams that are favorite for the trophy. No shame in finishing third.

Commentator's curse. The commentators on radio were suggesting that Oshoala should be removed. They were criticising her and as they were talking she went on and scored.
Can you call in and suggest to those commentators that they should suggest that Oparanozie be sub off...

Fair enough, but just so much more with them.

Confidence is a variable that has too much of an effect on their quality of play.

SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by KevinDein: 2:53pm On Jun 12, 2019
TBH, Oshoala can do better. Oparanozie really does have good hold up play; explains why the coach always starts her. Our girls seem to thrive on confidence (and are awful without it) and that goal just tilt the tie in our favor, for now.
Hopefully they stay confident in the second half.

Very un Nigerian style of play. All 11 players behind the ball, so defensive that even the attackers are afraid to attack. Is Dennerby too cautious in making us stay in the match?
He is. Typical Scandinavian tactics and very "unNigerian". TBH hiring that man was a grave mistake by the NFF.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by KevinDein: 2:15pm On Jun 12, 2019
This coach hasn't improved the team. In fact I'll argue the team has regressed. Very cowardly tactics; cede possession to the opponent, employ a mid block, win the ball and hit them on the counter. Seems the girls have too much information to digest hence their ponderous, nervy play. Can't string 3 passes.

Really happy the coach is dropping players who underperform. Happy to see the back of Oluehi. She really is 3rd choice, and could have saved at least 2 goals on day 1.

A big concern is Uchendu starting. She is not up to the level of players like Ajibade. It seems the assistant coach favouritism is telling here.
Ajibade would definitely come in later in the game...at least I wish. Her pace would be of bigger concern when the Koreans are tired. Hopefully we are still in the game by then.
