Firstly, Atheism is simply disbelief is an existence of god. Unlike Christianity/Islam, it is not a group or motivation. All man on his own. An average atheist does not blindly support the bad actions of another atheist under the name of atheism unlike the Christians and Muslims who will defend murder, rape,slavery acts e.t.c because their Holy book allowed it . If its good, I commend you and if bad I reprimand you just the same way I will do to people of other faiths.

Secondly, please feel free to open "truthful" threads and expose the so called faults. That's the whole idea. Nothing should be scared of scrutiny, if it does then it was built on a false foundation in the first place and never should be preached about. True fact never hides itself! Never! Let's have those threads and let people read, learn and decide which is good or bad. Whining and complaining every day or isolating yourself in one section on Nairaland to avoid scrutiny only proves how weak such faith is.

Windows 10 has been in use for almost 2 years that's including is preview era, don't tell me hackers still haven't gotten a hang of it. Antivirus apps are overrated, I stopped using em since 2014 & solely rely on Windows defender and don't get any issues.

Stop acting out the Victim complex.Those threads do not defame Pastors/Christianity but merely speaking the truth and are mostly posted by christians or hungry bloggers.When you defame something you utter/post false information about that thing in order to give it a bad name. A thread where a South African Pastor asks his congregation to eat grass, thread with funny church poster names or the Celestial Pastor chaining his 9 year old are simply the truth of what happened and not false information. Science itself is an atheist while scientific theories are formulated atheism based.

One of my brother who is a seminarian wasn't happy when I told him that NASA will soon be launching people to Mars in some years to come as well as citing in his head the curiosity mars rover used for the exploration of living organisms on mars.
My brother face changed and he was unhappy for a moment. Knowing their chances of progress, my brother said "If they succeed, it is God; If they didn't, it is still God."
As a science student, I was able to identify the misconception of proposition and how a condition cannot be true and false at the same time, then I realized what religion has done to Africa. They are not just happy for scientific achievements while their pastors will keep preaching the limitations of science on the alter just to deceive the multitudes.

If not for scientific fields like philosophy and its subset (theology), did you think that religion like (Christianity) will still stand?

That a person have not declaim himself as an atheist doesn't imply that he is a Christian, and that a person make quotations on religions doesn't disqualify him for been an atheist.
Winners01 is a typical example of such person who keep making this silly mistake.

Sometimes, I do make quotes that seems to favour religionists but that doesn't qualify me as a Christian.

No scientists will spend 30 minutes in praying not to talk of hours, spending hours in reading the Bible (a single book) everyday till they eventually depart from the land of the living, Paying tithes and offerings when they have scientific projects to spend their money on, joining a service unit (drama, choir, instrumentalist, ushers) when they know within themselves that they just don't have the time, and to crown it all, going to church everyday (endlessly) just to consume their time spent on knowledge exploration.

How can people be spending their hours in church everyday and be expecting changes in the country??

It's however unfortunate that in Nigeria, church growth is synonymous to expansion of buildings and having more members. If that is it, then I have to state clearly here that I detest church growth.
I dislike church growth in Nigeria because it comes at a cost. Someone, somewhere pays.
I once walked by a small church which has suddenly become a giant ultramodern edifice -- a tourist centre so to speak.
There used to be a private nursery and primary school next to that church. It was later purchased by the church, demolished and turned to a parking lot.
Hence, the community lost a school to church expansion. That's the cost the community paid to have a church grow.
And even if the church compensates by building their own school, the question again is.....at what cost? What does it cost the community to have their kids enrolled back into such schools?
The evidence is all round us. Look at where church growth has led us as a country today. In a country where we have more churches than factories, there's unprecedented moral decadence, we're less educated and more corrupt. Yet, people ignorantly carry placards that read " we're moving to permanent site"
Imagine if those permanent sites, those camps along Lagos-Ibadan expressway were actually multinational factories, where hundreds of thousands of engaged Nigerians produce products that benefit you and I.

Sadly, these guys are blind to reality. These are the kind of things we fight against on religion section daily but when you tell them the truth on Religion section, they will think its an attack on Christianity. When you tell them religion, especially this modern Pastorpreneurship style and their Islamic counterpart , are the major problem hindering growth of the country they will call you all sorts of names from frustrated to fake. Just read the post above me and tell me if that person is reasoning like a sensible adult should? Which country in its normal sense will close down a school, a citadel of knowledge for young ones and turn it to a church parking lot?

Why would an adult imply that sin causes diseases? Why? Why? Why?

Kikiki you should not be replying ignorant fellows like that guy. Humans have taken over the natural habitats of most of these animals with their houses, large buildings and roads. It is therefore not out of place to see these reptiles who have lost their habitats and overpopulated with the small space they have, stray back into houses or onto major roads.

In Supernatural,Lucifer remains the trickish mythical being, god as usual remains nowhere to be found and has never bothered to interfere with humans whether good or bad , we have angels forming alliance with Senior angels doing what they feel its best, Castiel as guardian angel for Sam and Dean, the word of god, the Darkness, the infamous " Hammer of the god" episode e.t.c I don't think any of the narrative is far from Christian reality na!

Guy relax,it's just a TV show for entertainment sake! If it causes earthquake to anyone's faith, then the foundation of such faith or belief was never true and as always being false from day one. If a movie portrayed that the Sun was a body of water flowing to cool the earth, that does not stop we that believe the real Sun will shine and burn up your head the moment you stepped out of the cinema by 12p.m because that's an undisputable fact.

The greatest con artist are the Nigerian pastors and GOs. The ones that move around with body guards even inside their churches . These guys actually do not believe in the God they profess. If God protects what do you need a body guard for? They know the truth and reality but keep deceiving the commoners with sweet words while they live in comfort and luxury.

That's because they live for themselves alone and love things of the world. Only Celebrities, Drug barons, Presidents e.t.c roll with bodyguards. Others that have employed bodyguards are those usually in the practice of uttering controversial statements that could stir unrest and riots which is where I would have given them a bit of slack but the average Nigerian con artist Pastor preaches Properity, Prosperity and more Prosperity. Nothing controversial there.

These ones love earthly pleasures like kilode. Private jets, porsche cars, birthday in exotic locations e.t.c are the only thing they know. The only ones I take serious are the ones who have left their comfort zones to work with organisations like Doctors without Border in disease, famine or war torn ravaged zones. These ones know they can die anytime from being infected or taken hostage by rebel warlords but yet they still travel down to help those in need. These are the ones that are truly sure of their belief.
