How does Lingard come into this? We're dealing with the question of whether or not Mata who cost 40 million deserves to be molly coddled after his years of barrenness. For the sake of the argument:

1. Lingard at least brings speed which can trouble defences and won't kill counter attacks with aimless back passsing. He is right now a better player for man utdd

2. Lingard cost utd nothing

3. Lingard is probably paid no where near what Mata is paid

4. Lingard is young and may still develop

5. Lingard has multi-utility and has even been played at right back/wing back on occasion

There is no argument in my opinion. Mata needs to be put on plane out of Manchester. Sharpish!

Mata was our best player for two straight seasons... I just don't know why he hates him so much. so he is saying that he would have substituted Messi if he were to be in that team. besides mata is not the only short player there.


I just felt for mata yesterday... his self esteem and confidence took massive hits. He just gave that flimsy excuse to deflect media attention from his obvious dislike of the player.


I've started developing this strong dislike for mourinho... given his treatment of Juan mata.
