lifezone247:Just at a glance, i am suspecting that it is the mother who is implanting thoughts into this child's mind. It is clear she goes to a good school, given that she loves school and this looks like the kind of Father's day assignment a good school would had out to their students. Also, she is not afraid to write down the way she feels about her father, but a child who was being physically abused would be terrified to even utter the words "i hate my father", talk less of insulting him so extensively. Also the vocabulary is too advanced for a nine year old. "Extremely silly"? I don't think i know of many nine year olds who speak that way. Plus the girl gives us some clues that indicates that she blames her father for the fights her parents have. My guess is that her dad does love her but might be a bad husband and her mother uses the child for comfort. |
Btzzk:Is Nigeria a united nation? Is Nigeria even a true nation in the true sense of that word? Secondly did you just say the north has never held this country to ransom? |
Opharhe:We can do something, you know? I am still thinking of the best way to go about it but i have resolved to do something. One good place to start is by focusing on educating our young ones, which is why i really hope to serve in the ND. Knowledge will be key to the actualization of the dream. |
I have always wondered where the educated youth of the Niger Delta are. The armed struggle alone cannot yield the desired results. What we need is for the intelligentsia to quit being so silent, unite and let our voice be heard. We need a new breed of men like Ken Saro Wiwa, who can wage war with the pen. I am astounded and astonished when i meet Niger Delta youth who are nonchalant about the cause. This is because there is a leadership failure. We also need a viable plan. True federalism is a much more realistic short term goal than sovereignty and it is a goal that is shared by most of the regions in Nigeria. This is something to protest about, not the removal of fuel subsidies! |
These boys have gone too far... Soldiers too are just ordinary people... why kill them? Oh no. ![]() |

Hello... I might need a fully functional wordpress template... can you provide that? |
goodnews777:@ the bolded, that's what i was thinking to myself a few days ago. I hope he has some solid investments going somewhere. But how do you know he has not given his life to Christ? if anything, he seems like a very level headed fellow. |
So Jadekitana actually does have sense?? |
b5ive:The information you seek is right there in the post. WHY CAN'T YOU READ WELL EVEN TO GET YOURSELF A JOB??! |
RaeMystix:Never mind. |
RaeMystix:African sense indeed. Better wake up and smell the coffee. |
"………As a result of the recent events and the other previous similar ones, I have come to strongly believe that we cannot honestly and sincerely continue in this wise, as the basis of trust and confidence in our unitary system has not been able to stand the test of time. I have already remarked on the issues in question. Suffice to say that, putting all considerations to test - political, economic, as well as social - the base for unity is not there or is so badly rocked, not only once but several times. I, therefore, feel that we should review the issue of our national standing and see if we can help stop the country from drifting away into utter destruction…." Yakubu Gown, 1966. |
NigeriaKitchen:Instead of you to offer to assist him by paying for his mental examination you are here encouraging him. Continu |
I have said it before that we don't respect our legitimate football heroes in this country. Despite the fact that Gerrard in his latter years cost Liverpool several title attempts, when he left Liverpool all of the English media celebrated him. Now here is a man who genuinely helped put Nigeria on the map, and the best we can do is relegate his testimonial game to the same status (or less), accorded a Nigeria professional league game. I'm really saddened by this development. |
buharisbae:Hey!! please can you get out of this place?? |
DropShot:if anini the bird has learnt to fly without perching, what must the hunter do? |
30 days?? 30 days?? If you are going to threaten to act, then act first and threaten later or keep silent!! the pain i feel when i read things like this is too much...... Igbo youths should be ashamed. I wonder why the easterners of old had a boldness that the easterners of today lack so conspicuously!! Are there no more Nzeogwus?? |
lolzzzz:What if thats the plan?? Try and read well. The report says: 1. They have been trying to move the girls in clusters already 2. The area has been under surveillance for some time the implications are that even if they try to move the girls they would be found. what if this is psychological warfare? let me explain: say the girls are being kept at this arms depot but the army is hesitant to move in to rescue them for their own safety given the fact that their exact whereabouts within the complex might not be known with precision, which means that even in the event of a raid, while the troops would need time to look for the girls, the terrorists could easily get to them first and kill them. also there is insufficient intel to prove that the girls are indeed there. Instead of risking a potentially fatal raid, the army could instead release some disinformation, indicating an impending raid upon the complex and when the terrorists receive this info, they might judge it safer to move the girls. Meanwhile, surveillance is still being carried out on the area so when the girls are moved the army is still on standby to pounce but this time they have an advantage: the girls are now in clear sight in the open and the terrorists are exposed outside of the defenses of their base. An ambush is set, and the troops move in with minimal casualties. You think its far fetched? thats coz you think you are smarter than some of the smartest men in our nation. Take a back seat son. |

bibiking7:honestly. It seems quite typical of nairaland people... slow to comprehend yet quick to be heard |
This is heart warming.... i'm so so so delighted....Nigerian football is on the rise! |
charix:What has that got to do with anything? ![]() |
dogorayaro:No begrudging Mikel's achievements but he does not hold a candle to Kanu. That man has won almost everything winnable, and unlike Mikel he played an active part for all his teams. |
chukkystar:Cos he lives in South Africa which you would have known if you simply bothered to read. |
kellymau:Lol. did i ask how they counted the cars? I asked who did. We all know cars are countable but do you go around counting the number of cars in any given convoy? It's rather improbable! |
