Back in Sec school days ... pulled a hamstring while playing for the school team . We later won the competition tho
#IrepPrimus lol sorry but with all i have suffered at the hands of football, a hamstring injury just sounds like a joke honestly. Sprained both ankles countless times, injured my achilles tendon on my left leg(courtesy of a deliberate foul), suffered torn hamstrings on both legs, pulled thigh muscles on both legs, experienced strange pain in my hip and lower back, but worst of all ruptured my right acl mutliple times. The first time was the worst, i couldnt walk well for weeks and i tried to return to playing in about 2 and a half months, whereupon it promptly reoccured. |

Stupedinluv: At 20, i have come to realise the joy and fulfilment in living life to the fullest. Coming from a noble home, i was not raised to be a man's stooge not to talk of an animal's. My worth was defined from the day i stepped into earth and has been shapened overtime. I was taught the right and the wrong. And that moral laws condone no breaker. If a woman must be condemned and despised for a crime, a man must by all means face the same. I believed this and i knew before God and men it was the truth. I didnt just believe, it became real to me and has influenced my judgement.
However, the society has flung half of this truth and has held on to a part because of how drunk in power it has become and the advantage this fist had fetched it.
We are aware now of this evil conditioning that a woman who sleeps around is a slut and should be desired less but a man who does same a stud and should be the craving of every woman. Many men have quietly nodded in agreement and a few mouthy ones have not failed to vocalise their agreement. And women? So many to the shame of dignity and womanhood have sang along with the men. And you wonder which would sacrifice her pride to make a stud!?
Because to make more studs we need more sluts. Can any of you women come out and offer yourself to a man who would dump you for another. If you cannot hold your peace and stupidity!
A stud is a man who is sexually attractive to so many women. So they say! but i see a stud as an animal who is unable to control its sexual desires, hates monogamous relationships and (therefore) deserves to be judged and condemned.
Women who say they are attracted to studs and hate inexperienced men need not only their heads examined but their consciences and should not take offence when they are called sluts. Cos only a slut or zombie would reason this way.
A stud has nothing tangible to offer except to toy with my emotion, cause me heart breaks and render me unproductive.
For every stud out there there are ten whores rendering my gender useless and subjecting me to prove myself as a woman of pride and esteem all the time. Nothanks. Young girl, i am on your side but relax first. The premise you have provided for your argument is that if women are condemned for it then men must also be condemned for it, which by extension implies that if men are pardoned for it, women also may be pardoned for it. That may be a form of moral law but it is certainly not God's law. God's law to you is independent of the actions of any other man or woman. God says "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy"; perhaps you might find it surprising to learn that God's law, today, is love, not vengeance, and where He decides that vengeance is merited, His law says that vengeance belongs to Him and not to you. God's law brings forgiveness and healing. God's law also teaches us not to judge. God's law shows us that none is righteous:"for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God". As "studs" who condemn slutty women are also guilty of sin, so also are you unworthy to cast the first stone. So relax first. |

It's funny how people easily make out someone to be a monster because she disciplined a child! The flogging was much but did she do it out of spite? I thought i read somewhere on the thread that the school tried to cover up the incident but perhaps i got that wrong. aside that, bro the way she beat that child was wrong. Period. LogoDWhiz: Firstly, WAEC certificate is not needed.. only if you're a foreign trained graduate. .
These are thee documents needed for camp registration. University's certificate or statement of result. With SOR youu must have an ID card showing that you're a student of the instution. Even with the certificate. It is advisable u get an id card also.. Next is the call up letter. Then green card for those that paid. And passports..
That's basically all you neeed..
You'll get tto fill forms iin camp.
Nysc doesn't care about your weac details or combination. Only ur school does. Nysc just need your school to mobilise you. That's all.
If you are below 30 and you don't have your certificate.. You can either apply to your school for a new one. Or a letter to thay effect. Or get an affidavit..
I hope I answered your questions? Thanks sir, your response is quite lucid and greatly appreciated. I am actually a foreign trained graduate but i made an ordinary pass in maths so this particular issue has been worrying me quite a bit... can't see myself going back to write one paper in WAEC almost 8 years later |

If YES. i don't think so. All Nysc is concerned about is if your graduated from an accredited or recognized tertiary institution, and if you have valid documents to back it up.
However, if you are confused or in doubts still, feel free to tweet @nysc_ng on twitter. Their officials would provide you more details as required.
Thank you.

Thank you. Hey bro... I was just wondering, if one does not have some of these documents such as the original University Certificate for whatever reason and it cannot be obtained again (lets assume a persons has had their University Certificate stolen) would such an individual be given an exemption letter or would they simply be stuck, unable to do NYSC and unable to move on and do other things with their lives?? modified*i have just read through those links thoroughly and they answer my question partially. I see that a credit in maths and english is listed as a requirement (though it is currently not on the NYSC site) but i don't understand how this can be, given that man Schools in Nigeria accept students who don't have credit passes in maths into programs such as Law. So my earlier questions still stands: suppose one has been accepted into Uni to study Law without a credit pass in maths and graduates and NYSC says you've got to have a credit level pass in maths. Are you granted an exemption or forced to go back to write WAEC again? What of those who obtained theirs in more than 2 sittings, are they granted an exemption or basically, detained?? I hope you get my drift? |
Sports › Re: The True Problem With The National Team by Kgdavid(m): 6:25pm On Mar 30, 2016 |
Safarigirl, it is crystal clear that Nigeria lacks top quality players, sorry, even moderately decent players at least apart from the attack. We have midfielders who cannot drive a decent ball over 60 yards, who seem only adept at trapping the ball and moving it to the nearest man. Accurate long range shooting is like a foreign language to these guys.
We have defenders who cannot play an offside trap and look frighteningly bad each time our opponents have a corner or free kick. I shudder at times when i watch the national team play. Yes it is not easy but please it is also not that hard.
A british pundit once said that working with international players is very easy because whereas with domestic players (worldwide) you will need to tell them what to do and them show them how to do it, with international players all you have to do is tell them what to do and they know how to execute it. In the Super Eagles of today what i see is a team chock full of footballers who do not really know their right from their left.
It was quite shameful during the 2014 world cup (at the confederations cup maybe) when some tv channel conducted an interview and their journalist was asking our payers if they were going to work on their ball control as one of the areas needed for improvement. Let's face the facts... even the player that most Nigerians would readily point to as the star man of the midfield, Ogenyi Onazi, is in real terms a mere hardman-type player on the european stage, with no real technical skills at all.
Just look at a player like Ogenekaro Etebo as a case study:
Physicality: Grade A Long passing: Zero Short Passing: average Shooting: abbysmal Dribbling: little to non existent
How can such a player with only physicality as his exceptional trait, even be in the Nigerian national team??
Sorry for those this rant will offend, i don't mean to rubbish our boys but hey truth be told these guys are not very good. At all. |

Equalizer: Seems the girls are enjoying it.. Smiling why you are being molested.. don't they have female officers? Aside from the fact that, as many have pointed out, those are female officers, i find that the human mind is quite an interesting thing. What difference does it make if its a male pair of hands or a female pair of hands that is frisking your body? So long as it is carried out professionally and briskly, it really makes no difference whether it is a male pair of hands or a female pair of hands that just squeezed ones boobs or dissected their butt cheek. A police officer is a police officer, an instrument of the law and must be allowed to their work without being overly sensitive to the whims of the policed. It's funny coz many women who would want to kick up a fuss over this would still line up in nightclubs for strangers to do the same or worse to them in the name of having fun. And even those who wouldn't do such would still line up to see their gynecologist who, more often than not, is likely to be male and will do things far more intrusive than this, to them. So i say dear Ugandans, if you must use men to perform such indelicate tasks for the sake of security in an increasingly volatile world, then please go ahead and full speed to your sails. Obviously, though, those officers in the pic are ladies with shaved heads. |

nlfan: I am feeling more like a devil right now,
I have a friend who owns a Business Hub where Technology startups are enhanced and built in the southern state.
Occasionally, he partners with Google to organized tech and entrepreneurial events and i am always one of the resource person, we are good friends and we share alot.
When i traveled down for one of the training, he showed me his girl, whom he also call his fiance.
One day he called me to say one of the mentee in the hub was going to represent him in an event in Lagos and that he would like her to stay in my place, and i gladly accepted.
The lady came and she was completely amazing, i took her shopping and we had massive fun, i liked her already and she stayed a little longer after the program before she left.
She became my friend and sees me too as a mentor, i advised her in areas of my specialties and helped her market her startup, she started visiting Lagos randomly because she now had me, so one day when she visited, she told me she is really in love with her mentor in the Hub, who is also the man that introduced her to me, i told her the mentor already have a fiance and she confirmed that she knows but just in love with him, we talked over it and we had a good laugh.
So last year when i went for the training, i did not see the Hub manager fiance, i asked him and he told me she is fine, i said are you sure because she is always here in your programs, what happened, the guy laughed and went away.
When he left, this lady who usually visits me in Lagos then told me, that they have broken up, that the lady was not good for her because she knows nothing about his business, the hub or help in anyway and so he had to let her go. we talked over it and i said shebi you are in love with him, isn't this the best time for you to go in lol. initially i took this as a play but when i returned from the training early this year, the lady called me and said she knows i can influence him to fall in love with her, i told her since he is single that i will see if my pranks can work.
I started talking to the guy about one of his mentee, how i like her and how good she is, he also confirmed she was good bla bla bla bla, i started talking to him about dating the girl, used different tricks, initially the guy was neutral and did not want to have anything to do with someone in his hub, to avoid disrespect et all, but i told him the girl is more matured than that etc. and ofcourse i asked the girl to shower him with respect, work smart, well and make him see reasons to fall in love.
Few weeks after we put all of these together, he asked her out and they started dating, I was so happy for them.
But trouble started when the old fiance of the guy came to me on facebook to chat, reporting the guy to me, that she knows he respects me alot and so she wants me to talk to him, and i asked what is the issue, she told me she has a child for him, a child they are bringing up together and that the child is less than 6 months old, that he was a good father until recently (the exact time he started dating this girl in the office) he has changed, and that he is now dating a girl in his office and that the girl has been robing it on her face, that the girl had the mind to come to their child dedication and flaunt her relationship with her fiance even though she still wears his ring and he still insist there is nothing to worry about.
I asked her, did you guys ever broke up and she said never, infact it was his idea to keep the child, they never had any issue in the relationship, and the reason she never showed up for the program last year was because her baby was so little she couldnt leave her alone in the house, i think the baby was a month old then.
At that point my head bursted, how could i be a party to those who will inflict pains and agony on another woman.
I never knew she had a girl for him or that they are still dating, this lady used my head and made me confused an innocent man, even though i do not understand why the guy never told me he now has a child.
I asked this other lady if she knew the fiance had a child and she said yes, that she did not want to tell me and that she doesn't care if she has a child or not, that the fiance did it out of wickedness to have a child for him so to block others from competing with her, i almost went mad at hearing her talk that way, i asked her to leave the couple alone to bring up their child that i will never be part of it but she said she cannot.
What do you think i can do to correct this mess i have created. Mehn i think this story would be great for Gidi up season 3 |

And All the Best Ogechi in your future endeavors!! I am very surprised at your judgement. In other places this principal of a woman would be facing very serious charges in a court of law! Aside from the cruel treatment meted out to the little child (imagine calling male teachers to slap and flog a little girl), which many people would not do to a goat or a dog, she went ahead to peddle her influence in order to pervert the course of justice and actively intimidated the police, and further misrepresented the facts to the public. Are these not very serious matters? Is such a person worthy of the charge to shape the moral character of the nation's future? In fact, i feel sorry for the woman herself, as it is clear her own education failed to instill in her the values she needs for life and i would like for her to become a better person so i would recommend that she be remanded in a correctional facility for a period of 6-24 months so that she might learn that violence does not solve all problems and being stronger does not make you right. |

Though online courses are also very good but can't be compared to offline! I massively disagree. In the entire course of my undergraduate degree i think i probably asked questions no more than 5-6 times cumulatively and 3-4 of those were probably in one course. I can honestly say that 85% of everything i really learned in Uni, was self taught, partially because i was not serious with attending classes and partly because i seem to learn better when i read on my own. I have also discovered that not every teacher really knows what they are talking about. |

first of all its proof not prove.
Secondly your analysis is not complete without providing figures for what grade makes an A and how many grade points each grade carries. What you have done does not make sense to me as GPA cannot be converted and compared from one scale to another in such a fashion.
there is a form of parity between each of the scales such that even though there appears to be a lower mathematical threshold, you still need to make the same number of A's to achieve a first class in either scale. This can be proven if you supply those figures i asked for earlier. |
