What is wrong in what she said for God sake ?

Her husband is not complaining and their marriage is one of the most succesful in nollywood..

Why...

Because her husband understands her.... Is it not true that shopping in the market with her status will bring undue attention..

However i feel it should have been stated that he does it out of love and if such a statement should rather come from the husband..

As long as the husband no vex,he no concern me

....

Oga attrndant, why this que go reach me ?
Why ask a question when you know perfectly well what the answer is?

As much as i also find this statement quite dangerous and inflammatory, he raises an important truth which must not be ignored. The north is currently awash with arms and with military age males who have been exposed to warfare--boko haram combatants, fulani herdsmen and even the so-called CJTF. Should tensions flare up any further, the south is dangerously exposed as it stands.

Sadly i think i support a militarization of all ethnic nations in preparedness for the worst; however i also ask myself, could preparing for a 2nd civil war become a self-fulfilling prophecy?

These are serious times.

Quite on the contrary the person you quoted is very right. I use a Barclays bank savings account here in the U.K. and all kinds of transactions you can think of are done on my account. Countless withdrawals via the ATMs (all are free), online payments, payments at stores, etc. The banks back home know they're wrong hence their refusal to initially notify customers of these charges. Make no mistakes, they actually are reversing those debits to customers who take appropriate steps towards seeking redress. The bank is banking on the fact that a lot more people will not do anything to seek redress hence they've decided to take their chances on this one.

It is very unethical, and that's to say the least.
Don't quote me to follow in compounding ignorance. Every bank, i repeat, every bank imposes conditions on withdrawals froms avings accounts.

VLadipo:
Mr man, it is not by force to run a bank.

Banks by statute have a corporate social responsibility to provide a measure of 'free services' to their customers.
That's why banks unlike most businesses are regulated by the CBN. A bank cannot just spring up and close down anyhow.
Haven't I been charged for ATM? Don't I have a minimum balance of NGN1000 in their care?

All over the world and even in academic curriculum, current and savings accounts are clearly defined and have their unique characteristics and features. Banks are free to create their personalised banking products and treat their customers who patronise those products anyhow they like.
I hope you know that you really do not know what you are talking about? At all!

You are not meant to make frequent withdrawals from a savings account and that is why all over the world, you will have penalty charges for such withdrawals. Why should there be charges on checking accounts when you could easily make free withdrawals on your savings account? It defeats the purpose.

By refusing charges on savings accounts, it means you want to run your savings account like a checking account and there by cheat the bank out of the transaction charges they would have imposed on you had you been using a regular checking account! Then why not just keep your money at home under the pillow? Is it by force to keep money in a bank if you're going to come online and rant over the mere equivalent of less than 50 cents charges on deductions?

Banks are business Mr man, and they charge for their services. Withdrawal charges on savings accounts are just one of the many charges they are mandated to make, believe it or not.

Nigerians just complain about every little thing, it so immensely annoying. Some of you need to experience life in other countries for real. Imagine this one telling me banks don't charge for savings withdrawal all over the world? shocked huh

VLadipo:
Hello all,

I first got the alerts in early March. I was debited a total of NGN105.00 for withdrawal fee on my SAVINGS account.

Confused, I went to my branch to complain. From time immemorial, we have always known (and were even taught in school) that savings account do yield monthly interests if you do not withdraw more than once from the account within a month.
Hence, I was surprised to get this explanation from the customer service person I met that I was charged withdrawal fee because I withdrew more than once from my savings account. The normal thing should be no interest for that month.
She further explained that the directive was from CBN and that deliberations were still ongoing on whether the policy should hold. She promised that a reversal of the deduction could take place.

Now, just some moments ago, I got 2 alerts indicating that I have been debited a total of NGN105.00 as withdrawal fee for the month of March.
This is in addition to the senseless, unrealistic charges debited from my account as payment for SMS alert every month.

Now, isnt that crazy?

Guys, please can you relate to all these as regards your savings account in your respective banks?

What do I do temporarily while I think of leaving Firstbank for good?

The charges on my savings account have become unbearable and disgusting.

Thank you.

Regards,
VLadipo.
Why should you be making withdrawals from your savings account for free when you get paid to keep money therein? Oh you thought banks just magically create the money that they pay as interest to those who do not withdraw? Or you thought savings accounts are a public service??

That 105 naira is even too small Mr.

PoliticsRe: Reasons Why Police & Military Shave Their Beards by Kgdavid(m): 2:30pm On Apr 07, 2016
charix:
This.

Also in combat, if your opponent has no hair, beard, earrings or piercings then there's nothing you can grab on to as an advantage over him/her.
When girls fight they normally grab each other's hair in an attempt to make their opponent submit quickly. If you don't believe me watch all the girl fights that litter youtube.
those silly catfights and the real world of combat are not quite the same. in reality beards don't pose much of a disadvantage in a mortal battle. In fact, most U.S military special operators (for example) wear their hair long and keep long beards for tactical purposes. Much like many Nigerian schools, while i was growing up at least, used to demand that girls shave their heads, the real reason why the men in uniform shave their beards is simply more to do with traditions of discipline.

10. The angler fish is one of the strangest creatures. When a male angler fish sees a female it attaches itself to the female and gradually becomes an organ of the female I.e a part of her body. So the male totally ceases to exist, and the female now has a new organ (a testes) and hence reproduction can occur.

Waiting for Innoson sympathizers to derail thread.
Like it or not, the prosperity of indigenous firms like Innoson is inherently linked to the prosperity of Nigeria. When Innoson makes money, it is saved in Nigerian banks, salaries are paid to Nigerian workers who spend the money in the Nigerian economy where it diffuses to practically every region and social class. So what's your problem with Innoson?

Why is hatred so ingrained in Nigerian culture?
TravelRe: Ghana Visa Requirement For Nigerians From July by Kgdavid(m): 4:32pm On Apr 01, 2016
It is unfortunate so many of my fellow Nigerians are quite silly. At first glance i knew that the wording of the statement directly attributed to John Mahama does not imply tougher restrictions on ECOWAS citizens but rather has bearing on the wider AU which up until now had to apply for visas in advance. Like any normal person should do, i simply conducted a google search to check and this is what i saw:

https://wolfganghthome./2016/03/19/ghana-lifts-visa-requirements-for-citizens-of-african-union-member-states/

http://www.newlandchase.com/immigration-insights/latest-news/ghana-visa-on-arrival-planned-for-nationals-of-african-union-states/

http://www.breakingnewsenglish.com/1603/160315-ghana-visa-a.html

in essence Ghana has actually taken a step into the future, making it easier for all Africans to enter Ghana.Getting more and more fed up of the behavior of Nigerians day by day.
