MainHerioneHoon:You're distorting the facts to make yourself feel better about your over-aggressive and actual racist attitude. The chap didn't not show any racism overtly or otherwise. He merely responded to comments that were made about his own country, countering with the aim of showing that those Nigerians who point fingers at India for rape are being hypocritical. Whether true or false, that was not racist. If anything at all, in the specific context of the way the events unfolded, the worst you could accuse him of is reactive, reverse racism. Again, what do questions about afrophobia in India or anywhere have to do with this specific case in which an Indian guy makes a comment on nairaland and you respond so aggressively? Are you saying that your aggression is some form of protest against afrophobia? or that meting out e-violence is the appropriate measure to take in order to protect black lives in India? What's your point exactly? Mine remains that your response was disproportionate and betrays an actual racist attitude, merely waiting for an opportunity to express itself. your inability to tolerate free speech, which in this case is not in anyway offensive, is worrisome! But not to turn this into a lengthy e-argument... i only meant it in a friendly sort of way. |
MainHerioneHoon:When did we arrive at Africans dying at the hands of Indians? Is that germane to the topic or to the confrontation you had with the Indian guy? How does it even link in to the conversation we are having right now?? Is Indianbwoy the one killing Africans in India? The bottom line is, while his ranting came off as whiny and immature, your retort was laced with tacit animosity which is retrogressive. Take it or leave it, but it tells of what you as a person are made of. Sometimes its better to simply take the high road... but feel free to ignore me ma |
lesbiangirl:Ive looked at some of the provisions of that bill and frankly they are impractical. Employment and other opportunities should be on merit. Some of the other issues such as inheritance I believe should already be addressed adequately in the existing laws |
MainHerioneHoon:Y r you asking him to leave? That's extreme... It reinforces the feeling he has that Nigerians don't like Indians. He is the minority here so it should be easier to tolerate his rubbish |
MainHerioneHoon:he's just being sensitive and silly... his comments didnt really cross the line tho |
MainHerioneHoon:Out of line. |
IndianBwoy:Dude... no one cares ![]() |
jayloms:That is the other part that really pisses me off....do these young men think they have a monopoly on violence? SS and to some extent SE people seem like the only group that won't tolerate rubbish from them. SW and middle belt people have allowed the extreme north to ride roughshod over them in an amazing fashion |
This brutal and mindless act of violence, is the result of decades of an informally sanctioned, and approved jungle justice culture. We the people are responsible in part, for this reprehensible crime. A few days ago, a young man was murdered for the mere fact of his sexual proclivities and many expressed sentiments that encouraged his murder. I think many Nigerians in general are mean people. May God teach the wicked among us to repent. |
Rexhenrex:Hmmm my female friend inists that African girls do not like roses ![]() |
ccaramel:Dont mind them...as if it's not obvious that the woman's thighs are tightly closed. Sometimes i just wonder |
Bbsharon:Girls can be very stupid... So what do you expect your boyfriend to feel/think when you're bringing up such possibilities of someone else coming for you? Obviously he feels he cannot trust you. |
US commander General Rodriguez says Boko Haram still holds significant territory. You don't say? So why not tell us where and where and where and which and which and which territories they hold since Commander Rodriguez now professes to know better than President Buhari. The arrogance of some buffoons appalls me. This is the same country that made a big show of sending their "experts" in to assist the Nigerian military in rescuing the Chibok girls and left without any noticeable contribution. If they know the "significant" territories that Boko Haram is still holding then surely they could do us all some good by help to erode those positions. But how exactly would they know what territories are being held in Nigeria? Are they on ground in Nigeria? Do they have contacts in Boko Haram? General please explain further. But i'll tell you the facts, this is just a second rate US general trying to make his work in Africa appear relevant. |
not sure if i should watch this ![]() |
renim:The tear tattoo is simply used to signify that one has been in prison before. Don't spread misinfo please. Is that too much to ask? And everybody deserves a second chance. The law has judged him. Justice has been served. his dues have been paid. Whats your own? |
edi287:and so? there has been a significant update in the story which is that he is out of jail and has an actual tangible contract (which you would know if you bothered to read the article) which he didn't have before. Period. Just admit that you merely glanced at the topic and rushed to enter your comment. |

BomboyOnline:you're talking about when he was incarcerated... he is now getting released |
To think someone out there is like this guy, with an amazing natural talent but crying out about unemployment. Always look inward |
Too bad Nigerians, unlike other nations, never appreciate those who serve and serve well. Just because his latter days were not quite as auspicious as his former days does not mean a true legend of the Nigerian game should be mocked in his retirement. Such a shame! Since i started watching football properly this guy has been a rock at the back of Nigeria's defence. The Sodje's, Shittu's, Apam's, Adeleye's, Nwanneri's, and co came and went but Joseph Yobo was always there. Please respect this man. I remember the sense of pride i used to feel when both he and Okocha were captaining English premier league clubs. You think it's a small achievement for an African to do such?? As far as i'm concerned, Yobo and Enyeama are the last of the era in which Nigeria was still great. Nuff respect sir. |
fulanimafia:Well as much as i don't readily subscribe to tribal sentimentality and in fact i offered some form of defense for the boy yunisa, I must state here that your comparison is vastly inadequate. In the one instance, a girl was taken and for months lawful orders for her return by both legal and cultural authorities were flagrantly disregarded and aided and abetted by the very structures which are meant to support the law. individual cases of criminality will abound in probably most societies but what is seriously alarming is when a society as a whole appears to embrace a crime, as happens or seems to be happening up north with the spate of "kidnapped" young Christian girls are being married off while being underage. |
fulanimafia:Actually, it is because that case has come to a logical conclusion speedily, as the long arm of the law reached out swiftly, to expedite justice. In Yunisa's case however, justice was delayed for several months, and effectively, denied until "we the public" had to act on behalf of the law. |
Amazing talent! Impressed... Which leads me to wonder, who knows how many such promising lives as his, have been terminated in the numerous fatal accidents plaguing the roads of this country? Who knows how many have had their lives cut short at the hands of armed robbers, cultists and terrorists and even crooked security agents? Who knows how many have expired on a hospital bed, rejected treatment for lack of silver coins? One day... |
I would say if i were your friend, i would take the music job in a heartbeat, and look for unpaid work in a law firm somewhere. This way, he/she gets to earn a decent salary and still acquire the relevant legal experience. 30k is just not it, imo. |
Sad about the loss of lives but really i love this kind of news, where we hear of arrests of the hitherto high and mighty in our country. One step at a time, we shall get there. |
thesicilian:Misinformationists like you never cease to amaze me. Where and when did boko haram kill a general? Has even boko haram claimed they killed the man? But I see what you're doing... It's quite clever. Repeat this fictional narrative often enough and those who refuse to think will soon accept it as a he truth abi? Keep up the good work |
just wondering why anyone would want to work with shopprite in particular? do they pay well? |
Flexherbal:you can't see that there was nobody in the car at the time the picture was taken? |
asinine rubbish... yet they wonder why men look down on women intellectually |
Centurion04:usually these so called snake charmers have removed the snakes fangs so they can't get bitten |
i understand his point but what an insensible way of expressing himself. He should simply have said: "Nigeria is joining the coalition because of joint strategic interests but this alliance has no bearing on the sovreign identity of Nigeria". As much as i supported this guy and still prefer him and APC to PDP, i knew he wasn't very clever from his inauguration day when Amanpour asked him about economic policies and all he could do was rant about corruption. SMH. |
