lonamy: Bros and sis, the traffic congestion situation has always been there. Since the ban on the okada, there is no proof that the number of cars/vehicles in Lagos has increased.
The thing is that, those of us that were used to okada to get us out of the traffic are now feeling the congestion, because there is no okada to get us out of the situation.

acidtalk: Was invited by ex girlfriend's family to a buffet in a 5 start hotel in Lagos, i thought i had chosen a very soft meat only to discover it DAMN HARD. well i form like say nothing do me.

When i couldn't keep fooling myself with fork and knife, i started using my hands. Before i could say jack, the meat first fell on my shirt, my trouser before dropping on the floor.

The table was silent for like 10seconds.
Omo, i boned them, picked it up, dusted it and continued eating.

Everyone one that table were over friendly after that situation. Na so old and small drop fork and knife begin use hand tear meat.


But till date i still feel embarrassed when i remember. but i am glad i earned their respect at being natural

Served in a private firm Lagos..... Air-conditioned staff bus takes me to work and back home..... Coffee and biscuits/cup cake for breakfast every day and TFC for lunch every mon, wed, fridays..... Air-conditioned office with internet access........... New toyota corolla official car for outdoor assignments..... Toiletries every month end and Full bag of rice and 25litters of vegetable oil every xmas and easter break....

Its baffling but it is equally connected to the poor state of the Nigerian economy.

I am sure if our economy were to be good, there would be less of "religionism".

More so,'religionism'in Nigeria has given birth to hypocrisy and more emphasis on materialism rather than contentment and diligence.

The truth remains that majority of Nigerians seek solace in religion just to meet their human needs and not their spiritual needs.

Nigeria as a country cannot move in the right direction with the way religion is presently orchestrated and practised!

As religious as the country, we do not have values for human life,we want to grab it all without being considerate of others.

A poor economy has all the trappings of 'religionism' without a human face as its presently displayed in the Nigerian society.

Need I even remind you that most of the religious leaders are no different from most of of our political leaders. All men of unbridled appetite for acquisitions of comforts and luxuries!

Events happening in Nigeria show how spiritually decayed we are as a people. I wonder the kind of religion we as a people practise!

If there is any 'economic good/spiritual good' that sells like wildfire in Nigeria, its definitely religion! This can be more or less attributed to the squalor and excruciating poverty in Nigeria.

Sometimes, I weep for my country because of her myriad of human-related problems. Our problems in Nigeria are not spiritual but rather human induced problems caused by greed,poor leadership style/vision,impatience(wanna hit it big without breaking a sweat),triviality,intolerance,poor maintenance culture,tribalism/sectionalism,little or no respect for laws/order,lack of genuine love for mankind,etc


I have come to the realization that for us to get out of the woods in Nigeria, we must stop saying this hypocritical prayer"may God help us" but rather we need to make amends of our evil ways and start doing the right things at the right time,only then the Almighty God would hear us and help us indeed.

I believe the country can be great if we decide to make it great only by attitudinal change and NOT farce spiritualism at is being the order today.

God bless us as a people and our beloved country-Nigeria!

Okay people, _{We already know but. . .} let's not bring religion into this before a fight starts.

CHARLOE: You guys are EITHER funny or ignorant. So u don't believe things like this happen everyday in lagos? well i've met about 3 pple with similar experience, as in, 1st hand account, from d horses mouth!. D one that shocked me d most was d account of 1 of my customers; he boarded a bus frm ikeja under bridge to ogba and according to him, when he entered d bus he noticed everybody was sleeping and he suddenly started feeling sleepy. He realised what was happening and immediately brought out the screW-driver in his pocket and started stabbing those of dem around him including d driver, and when they cldn't handle him , he was finally pushed down (on top speed) around caterpiller bus-stop in ogba. He said for 1 wk he cldn't eat and for 2-months he cldn't talk. D jazz took close to 3 months to wear off.
What's even more worrisome on this thread and d country as a whole is that instead of pple getting angry and calling on d govt and security agents to arrest d situation they're calling and tanking god for d lucky 1, what about d unfortunate 10, paints a hopless situation. It's a daunting task for sure but we have to do sometin about it, it's not enof to tank God for d lucky few that escaped, what of d thousands that get killed every year? it could be u or ur family or friends.
Our govt, security agents have all failed us, agreed, but who will lead d fight against dis hienous crime against humanity? d pple that should, have also failed us- religous leaders, NGOs etc cos i feel dis is a good opportunity for BIG MEN OF GOD TO MAKE THIER VOICE HEARD AND STAND ON THE SIDE OF TRUTH AND JUSTICE. But it's obvious they're only concerned about thier business and even FRATERNISE with d pple that patronise these ritualists. I WEEP FOR THIS COUNTRY!
