I think its high time moderators clamp down on people who keep heating the policy with tribal comments and statements.
its beginning to get really offensive reading Nairaland pages.

God bless you real good. Hope our fellow youths will take heed

Hidentity:
I think that I have observed this for quite a while and I think that it need be said.

I expressed my concern on why Nigerian youths remain leaders of tomorrow even till tomorrow to someone a few years back, and he suggested that I become a member of a few social media outfits. I did- Nairaland is one. He didn't say more, but I have seen more.

E-friends, it is easier to trap the water in an ocean in a glass cup than it is to see one reasonable comment on a page on Nairaland. Is it that hard to just ignore a topic if one has nothing intellectually benefiting or wise to say than insult the feelings of a tribe, religion or sex?

Look at it from here, a lot of unemployed youths are here lamenting and the story continues year in and out. If you were an employer, are you likely to take someone on a forum like this serious to conduct the affairs of your business or firm? These things matter, but it seems we either don't know or we just deny that we don't. There are people of incredible and distinguished personalities here, but with these comments fanning the embers of ethnic war, can youths like us be left with sensitive issues like nation building?

We can't lament that we are being sidelined when we lack the diplomatic tact and mental credential to make a simple remarkable comment. Insult me for this, I don't care- people take to insult when they are short of logic. But it is saddening that these e-children of ethnic war are thought to mirror the rest of us who are not in the bandwagon of victims of social, moral and intellectual decadence.

I expected that Seun or the mods would fashion out a way to halt this madness. The truth is that not paying attention to little details has lead to several wars and disasters. If this trend of singling out an ethnic group as criminals, rapists or ritualists subsists, we all may not be able to tell the story of the consequences. We can choose our actions, but we cannot choose the consequences, why don't you just keep quiet or type something worthwhile?

I am a proud Yoruba and a Christain, but I know that in my formation process, I became human first before becoming a Yoruba or a Christian and as long as the next person is human, I should be fair to him. Why can't we just live and let live? The leaders of tomorrow are just more terrible than the ones of today.

If an Igbo person is caught for doing drugs, it is not because he is Igbo- it is because of the inherent criminal nature in every human which he didn't curb. If one Hausa man is caught for terrorism, it is not because Hausa people are terrorists, it is because of the inhumane part of every human he did not restrict. If a Yoruba man is caught for raping, it does not make Yoruba people rapists, it is because that particular Yoruba man failed to control the animal instinct in him. Committing crime is never an identity of any tribe or ethnic group because speaking English does not make one a Briton.

The future awaits us- we cannot succeed in giving it the best with the way we reason, comment and react here.

Thanks

Common sense should tell you that most of the workers still working with the new govt worked with ameachi,so getting the current pix is no big deal....I wonder how you guys will believe ameachi looted stuffs like that,a man that controlled billions.Maybe somebody else did, that is if it was not stag managed
Finally somebody with sense.....How can anyone fall for such a story, that a state governor looted the government house furniture.
Do you know how much is allocated to that state. It would be much easier to steal the money and buy the furniture one needs, than to start carrying second hand govt house furniture

I think the current governor is just playing politics............beside usually, once a new governor comes into office, the govt house is renovated and all furniture's changed to suite the current holders taste....so all this noise is unnecessary. The time spent on all this propaganda could have been used for brain storming on how he intends to move the state forward.....which is what he was voted to do........Just my tots

The OP has done well. He has helped us to remember just why BODMAS is important. If the rules of BODMAS is discarded solving of mathematical equations becomes a disaster.

For things to work properly there has to be rules, the rules ensure that you get the right/same result no matter who or where it is applied. Failure to adhere to rules, result in disaster, confusion and chaos.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Can You Answer These Tricky Job Interview Questions From Apple Inc by khalids: 2:08pm On Apr 14, 2015
I believe these questions are meant to find out how you reason and how you handle problems. I don't think you are meant to actually give a specific answer to this questions (there are no right or wrong answers, but your answer will reveal who you are (e.g. scientific mind, gambler, Joker, slowpoke, outside the box thinker, genius, legal mind, programer etc) .

I believe what is being tested is how you approach problems, in what light do you see problems and how your thought process handles problems. And its going to vary from person to person, and the selected candidates will be the one that suits their companies culture.......

These are my thoughts..

We leave in a physical world and understand the world through our physical senses, and for this our physical senses are doing quite a good job.

In trying to know via our physical senses how the world was created and if God exist poses a rather big challenge. WHY?

Our physical senses cannot understand beyond the physical, but the answers we are seeking are beyond the physical and as such our physical senses will never be able to give us the true picture nor answer.

Its just like how dogs can hear certain noise levels and we humans cannot, its simple that we are not equipped physically for that. How ever this does not mean that the sound heard by the dog does not exist.

Science tries to explain things from a physical point of view, it tells us the universe was created when the big bang occurred. But that's has far as their physical senses will allow them to reason. So then if we ask what created the big bang, we all get stuck.

My point is if you want to loosen a nut get a spanner, if you want to loosen screw get a screw driver, without the right tool we will not be able to answer nor understand these questions nor answer.

THIS IS THE LITTLE MY PHYSICAL MIND WAS ABLE TO CONCLUDE. PLEASE LETS KEEP AN OPEN MIND. ITS THE FIRST STEP TO UNDERSTANDING. smiley

PoliticsBRT Staff Abusing And Maltreating Passengers by khalids(op): 6:58pm On Sep 03, 2014
I have on several occasions been witness to the appalling way some staff of the BRT bus treat passenger's.

First, I would like to state that the idea of the BRT system is a brilliant one and I gotalt appreciate the. burden of driving as well as the stress relief it affords me.

I most state that the majority of BRT staff are great and wonderful people and I praise there efforts in providing a comfortable and great transportation system.

However, on some occasions witnessed the appallingly manner some few staff of the company, have gone about carrying out their duties. Some staff have turned into demi gods. Abusing, fighting and even exchanging blows with passengers. Please I would like us to share our observations and experiences with staff of the company.

This is not a witch hunting exercise, but meant help correct some of this ills. Thanking you all in advance
