steady986: If you want to quote me, quote me, stop going through the corners Regular season record means little in this league. Ask the Bucks and Jazz. GS thrives on great movement off the ball. What I observed from them is that they use all their energy in the first 3 quarters with all that running around that they do. And they usually are gassed by the 4th. If the game is tight going into the 4th, it would be a problem. I've seen this happen twice already in the last 3 games. Last night for example Steph didn't score a single point in the last 8:45 minutes. Tell me it had nothing to do with fatigue. I wouldn't mind playing this Warriors in a series o. Shebi na shoot dem wan dey shoot. Dem go shoot tire. But hope you're coming with your rim/paint protection.
In the post season when the game slows down, or when it's crunch time and it's time for one on one basketball, when everybody freezes and your superstar has the ball in his hand, can you count on Steph to take you home? That was what KD was there for in those years. As good as Steph is, I don't think he's that guy. Steph won one without KD, so your last point just comes across as hating. Steph won 2 games in the finals against the Raptors without Klay and KD and his support cast now is way better than those he had for that finals series. IMHO GSW will need Wiseman and Klay to win it all which leans into the point you were making in the first paragraph and the first part of the second. |

Roland17: You no notice say everybody dey respect himself dis days? Even LeBum nearly chop am from Stewart, no time!
Nobody say make you no try dirty play but anything wen come after that one Na your cross. There is hard foul and there is dirty/ nasty play.
Hopefully, the dirty play on Jokic is worth the 9 games off and neck injury for Markieff. That's what I've been trying to tell steady, nobody is supporting violence, but the fact of the matter is that the Morris twins are habitual line steppers, remember what they did to Luka's ankle during the bubble playoffs. Jokic just sent a message that their habit and anyone who also has it, should lock it up when it comes to him. PS: all Morris needed to do was tap Jokic in the arm to pick up the foul which was his objective. But IMHO, he then tried to punk him while doing it, but Jokic was having none of that. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 9:40pm On Nov 26, 2021 |
steady986: Jokic will be hard fouled many more times in this league by many more players. So there's no message he sent. Trust me if he does what he did the last time he's getting more games than he got the last time.
It's ironic how you're a proponent of hard plays and yet you want people to retaliate whenever they're the victim. Why can't they play on and wait for their own moment to pay back? At least that would be better. Instead of bitching around and attacking someone behind his back. Why has no one done it since then? |

A40: Mitchell is a dog. The real rookie of the year. He used to be a notorious shot chucker too but he is learning to playmake and facilitate. This is what Tatum is lacking in a bit, the more he does that the better he gets at his shot selection. He is not consistent enough in that aspect His shot selection is not totally his fault, he has no one to help create some easy looks for him |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 8:56pm On Nov 20, 2021 |
A40: Lol too early for that. They should chill till All-star break to see how far. The question is who will agree to bail the Lakers out. Trade Westbrook was trending last night but a GM accepting Westbrook right now is a fireable offence. I wouldn't take him if you gave me picks till 2031.
The Lakers have fallen into the trap of believing they are built for June instead of embracing the regular season grind. You would think they have learned from the Clippers and Brooklyn that talent is not enough. They seem not to realize that they are getting every team's best shot each night. Can't remember a single win this season that they have not had to sweat for. Even the Rockets.
If they lose to Detroit next I will agree that there is big problem I still believe Westbrook can be traded depending on the package. But it will be definitely not to a contender, which is where salary matching will cause issues. For instance the Spurs can do it just for the picks, since they need to rebuild. PS: just a question, but does Westbrook fit the playmaker PG, that could work with the 2 guys in Boston? |

Because they had no option than to throw an undersized THT on Giannis, una come here dey shout 47. Best big man in the league when healthy. Read am again . A40: What is the correlation between this and someone saying Tatum has been far exceeded like he's not had All star and All NBA status What I got from he saying some young players have far exceeded Tatum, is if we put down all the players drafted since Tatums class, and ask GM's to pick, some names are coming off the block before Tatum's. So IMHO, Luka is the only one I can say categorically fits that bill, Trae is a maybe depending on the person picking. |

Trae Young ko, Trae song ni. Where is his All NBA appearance? He's just doing what Jayson did two seasons ago. You could argue it was a good team, he was still the best player on it
Lol at Ja Morant. Just lol
Wait. You think Luka would have beaten the Nets last season in the playoffs? For all your talk, no GM will trade Luka for Tatum, for Trae young some will, but for Luka, you will get laughed out of the room |

Right now they are stuck in limbo and with paying Matt's albatross contract. If they had drafted a QB, they could have cut Ryan, and given the coach at least 3 clear years run way and see how it pans out. |

birdman: I agree 100%. That team has been badly constructed for a while. When they had IT, his heroics covered up a lot of deficiencies. But Ainge had years to tweak that roster but really didnt. Hayward and Horford were good moves, but they never really pursued it. I dont follow Celtics as well as Roland17 does, but I always get the feeling they think positionless basketball is the way to go. They went even farther than Morey at the rockets.
O, and btw, on your earlier post, Steve Francis never played with TMac. I believe he went to Orlando in the trade for TMac or something like that. Houston fan base would have imploded had that ever happened. We barely survived Steve vs Yao battles Ohh, is it Ty lue or Alston then, cause one of those rockets team with Tmac had a dependable PG. |

His slump was self made, he fell in love with the one big play offense. If he plays patient like he his doing in this game, as long as his online holds up, nobody is stopping the chiefs offense. |
