Ihedioha is a governor for all. Owelle faced Orlu? For development or for destruction? It's like you are a stranger to Imo state under Owelle govt. Owelle rather faced destruction of neatly every government development project he met in Orlu in 2011 because of age old grievances he had against some people in Orlu long before he became governor. Owelle only development in Orlu is expand the road that passed through Orlu to his Ideato home. Ihedioha had to start to reconstruct the road to the only government institution - teaching hospital - in Orlu abandoned by Owelle since 2011. Owelle even went to the extreme and dismantled the roofs of Orlu stadium. |

XXLDICK: The phrase "Chukwu Okike Abiama" became overly pronounced especially by the IPOB group of recent. Many people including Igbos have no idea of its meaning. I asked my kinsmen but they had no idea too definitely because we aren't from Arochukwu.
Contrary to recent believe, Chukwu Abiama is a pagan God and not what many of us believe it is. Chukwu Abiama was the name given to the central God of the Arochukwu people.
Chukwu Abiama which means the God that reveals truth was very instrumental during slave trade because the shrine which housed the God was more like a supreme court in Arochukwu, anybody whom was found guilty was either dedicated to the gods (Osu) or sold to the whites as a slave.
Igbos that claim to be Jews claimed Chukwu Abiama means God of Abraham, that Abiama is a distorted pronunciation of the word Abraham
It's funny to find many Christians now using the phrase Chukwu Okike Abiama, if only they knew which God they are calling.
The claim that Chukwu Abiama means God of Abraham is just another attempt by some low self-esteem Igbos to rewrite the Igbo history and solidify their irrational claim of Jewish ancestry which I see as an insult to the great Igbo tribe because the Igbo tribe predates Adam. There is nothing fear of restoration of Biafra cannot make people to write as blackmail. . Author suffers from INFERIORITY COMPLEX. Oyibo standard is the only standard which is true for this author. Chukwu Okike Abiama is reference to God by a part of Igboland,

Unbiased1: This is the Orji Flyover built few months back by the immediate past Gov of IMO State. When some well meaning Imolites discovered this deliberate death trap positioned by the past administration to end some lives. They called on the Governor of IMO state,Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, for intervention. Immediately, Ihedioha intervened and closed that flyover to save lives. But some miscreants were blabbing that the flyover is in good shape. Note, this is the same flyover the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, commissioned about 40 days ago. Today, action has commenced on that flyover so as to save the lives of IMO people plying through that flyover. IMO is moving forward under Ihedioha's watch.
Report from: bendovex When are Owerri youths beginning to pressure gov Ihedioha for more flyovers in Owerri, as they pressured Ohakim and Okorocha? Result: political flyovers. A fly over is very expensive to build and normally built on a junction involving a high speed road. None of the junctions in Owerri where flyovers were built needed a flyover. They needed only a big roundabout or traffic lights. Owerri youths think that flyovers are symbols of Mega City. They blackmail every gov to build flyovers in Owerri. It gives them the false impression that Owerri is developing like Lagos and Abuja. Rain floods due to uncompleted urban drainage system wreck Orlu, but Owerri is not disturbed, as it forces governors to waste money to build unnecessary flyovers in Owerri. Because Orlu people are mostly docile. |

The Nigerian Police Force has reacted to the trending picture of Senator Elisha Abbo and the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed.
Igbere TV reports that Senator Abbo has been in the news for slapping a nursing mother mercilessly.
In a statement made available to Igbere TV on Thursday, the police said the picture was taken in Governor El-Rufai’s office when the IGP paid the Governor a courtesy visit during a Security meeting with the Northern Traditional Rulers in Kaduna on April 30th, 2019.
The statement reads;
"The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to a picture of Senator Abbo Elisha purportedly having a conversation with the Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni."
"Needless to state that the picture was taken in Governor El-Rufai’s office when the IGP paid the Governor a courtesy visit during a Security meeting with the Northern Traditional Rulers in Kaduna on April 30th, 2019."
"Whatever maybe the motive behind the display of the picture at the time when the Senator is under investigation, be it known that the IGP, a public servant, interacts with every Nigerian, irrespective of their status, political leaning, tribe or religion, etc in the course of discharging his duties as the number one Cop of the Nation."
"The public should therefore disregard the obviously mischievous intentions of the author of the post."

hardtoget: Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has hailed the suspension of Ruga settlements plan by the Federal Government as victory for all peace- loving Nigerians.
The Governor, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary Terver Akase, stated the rejection of the Ruga settlement model was not personal but rather a struggle by Nigerians against impunity and injustice.
Ortom commended President Muhammadu Buhari for heeding to the call of Nigerians. Read Also: Buhari suspends `Ruga’ programme, backs NEC’s livestock plan He said the decision to suspend the proposal shows that Buhari has heard the voices of majority of Nigerians on the matter. He stated that truth has prevailed on the issue, quoting John 8: 32 “you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”
Governor Ortom urged the federal government to take a step further to encourage pastoralists and other livestock owners to embrace ranching as the best model of animal husbandry

B2mario: this is the only time I am seeing good comment coming from you. The facility in Okigwe should serve as Imo state University of engineering as was meant to be. Then Ihedioha should liaise with the real owners of the Ogboko facilities and convert it to Imo state University with an agreement to be run under the platform of PPP. Thank God you have come to the reality that Rochas built edifice for the three campuses and distributed development evenly to the three zones of the state unlike his counterpart, Sen. Evans Enwerem. Don't assume that Okorocha was ignorant of the Code of Conduct Bureau provision. The provision forbids an elected political office holder, like state governor or president, to use his office to advance his private business, or use his office for financial advantage of his friends or business partners. Okorocha govt acquired the lands of Eastern Palm University Ogboko. Owners of the land gave up their lands after they were convinced by Imo state government that the land would be used to build a campus of IMSU, not a private university or PPP university they know shall not benefit their environment. Imo state govt started to build the university in the name of IMSU. Then suddenly, greedy landlords in Owerri who eat fat from charging high rents on the close to 150, 000 students and staff of the three universities and two polytechnics around Owerri started to petition against Okorocha that he was taking their university in Owerri to his village in Ogboko. Imo state government continued to build the university till what it is today. But tried to outsmart the petition writers by calling the university - Imo European University. Imo state House of Assembly legislated the University as Imo state government University. The unofficial PPP thing brought at last as ownership of the university is a mere diversion. In fact, any private sector man who comes forward as owner of the so-called 90% share in Eastern Palm University risks jail term. No body shall come, of course. |

Come ooo.
In Okigwe, Mbaise and the main the main in Ogboko, Okorocha used style and built the first grand edifices for Imo state university (IMSU). IMSU never had edifices because it got embroiled in permanent location hiatuses since IMSU was wrongly established at the heart of Owerri by then gov Evan Enwerem from Owerri more than 20 years ago.
Enwerem blindly ignored zoning but temporarily located IMSU in the same Owerri area where FUTO, Federal Poly and Alvan federal college that runs many university degree programmes are located.
Okorocha registered the three campuses in Okigwe, Mbaise and Ogboko with University Commission as govt owned.
What is gov Ihedioha waiting for before he proclaims the three beautiful campuses for new IMSU? Inquiry? For what? |

Abdulazeez99: The senator representing Imo West Senatorial District and former Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, has noted that “Igbo presidency” does not exist, Igbere TV reports.
While speaking on Thursday after he was sworn into the Senate, he stated that if Southeast wants power, they have to fight for it.
He said: “Power is not given, power is taken. The south-east cannot just fold their arms and expect power to be given to them just because you want power. Power does not go with sentiment some of the times, it’s on issues on ground.
“So you cannot be talking about Igbo presidency, it doesn’t exist. We may be talking about Nigeria’s president of Igbo extraction but that depends on what other geo-political zones think about the issue.
“For me, what is important is let power be given to somebody who has something upstairs, who can put food on the table of common man irrespective of religion or where you come from.”
The former governor also said it would be “very surprising” to see the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) appeal the verdict compelling it to issue him a certificate of return.
“Duress means using mild or excessive force to compel someone to do something he or she does not want to do,” he said.
“How would you have done that in a returning hall where you have police, SSS and party agents? And in my own person walking with gun or machete asking them to write result on my behalf.
“That didn’t happen. I think there is more to duress than duress itself”, he argued.
