Imo state needs a new governor who understands that Imo state extends beyond Owerri.
Okigwe and Orlu zones have been left out, without any development. Okorocha tried to do a few roads in them, that's all.

No body is trying to strangle IMSUTH is a state health institution while FMC Owerri is a Federal Institution. The equipments and cost of treatment in both hospitals you cannot compare, besides do you expect somebody from other parts of Imo State to leave FMC Owerri that is central and cheaper to drive down to Orlu where IMSUTH is located.

Less than 5% of the population of Imo state live in Owerri.
For your lot from Owerri, the other 95% of Imo population living outside the state capital are inconsequentials, or are taken by your people to be foolish;

Government can even build hospital in your Owerri bedroom, since twenty minutes bus ride or drive from Owerri to IMSUTH is a burden for you.

You just confirmed what have been said all along that the attitude of Owerri people to anything in Imo state must be the cause of the systemic failure of the FMC Owerri.

FYI, Imo is a failed state considering that even development of a state which inspired Nigeria's former leaders to create states was not observed by successive Imo governments. No other state in Nigeria failed like Imo which has only Owerri as a location with modern infrastructure in Imo state.

IMSUTH is being strangled to death because it was not located in the state capital, Owerri.

What happened to FMC Owerri is a continuation of one group who believes that the state is their property because their area is pronounced state capital.

Owerri people like to "appoint"anybody to any position in Imo state. Uwakwem is not appointee for Owerri people.

Owerri people like to have everything in Imo state.

Five universities and polythechnics in Imo state are wrongly located in Owerri during the years of military dictatorship. Democracy came, Owerri petitions to even the gods each time any state governor tried to relocate one of the tertiary institutions outside Owerri.

FMC Owerri is another victim of these attributes of people in the capital of Imo state.
