Don't mind the idiot. He's obviously a sponsored BMC miscreant. You can expect more of them to crawl out of the wall as the date for "removing" subsidy draws nearer. FarahAideed: |
I'm honestly tired of Nigerians flaunting their stupidity and expecting praise for the pitiful display. This has got to be one of the most unintelligent write ups I've ever read on this forum. AlexBells: |

Manchester United’s start to the season might have left a lot to be desired but there is no question about the fact that the Red Devils still have one of the best squads in world football. And one of their strongest positions is up top at striker. Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani are two of the best of their generation. And beyond them, the likes of Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood are also capable of playing up top. But, there is no denying the fact that neither Ronaldo nor Cavani are in their prime at this point of time. And the Uruguayan is also expected to leave the club next summer. Thus, Manchester United could definitely do with another striker. And it appears that they have their eyes on one of the most exciting in Europe right now. As reported by the Daily Mail, Manchester United have entered the race to sign Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic and have been watching the £70 million-rated striker. Vlahovic in action Vlahovic is arguably the most exciting young striker in Europe right now, except Erling Haaland. The Serbian has been absolutely sensational for Fiorentina in recent times. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 21 goals in Serie A last season and has already scored 10 goals in 13 appearances this season. And still just 21 years of age, the sky is the limit for Vlahovic. Naturally, he has already been linked with a move to several of Europe’s biggest clubs. And Manchester United appear to be one who are keeping an eye on the Serbian. Vlahovic seems destined to be one of the top strikers in Europe over the next decade or so. He could be a long-term solution for the Red Devils up top and prove to be a brilliant signing, if he can keep performing like he has in the past few years. |

The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, said N258m was paid annually to 860 lawyers in the ministry as robe allowance. Malami said each of the counsel was getting N300,000 annually. The AGF made this known when he appeared before the Senate Committee on Judiciary and Human Rights and Legal Matters to defend the 2022 budget defence of the ministry, during the week. However, Senator Emmanuel Orker-Jev (Benue North-West), raised concern about personnel cost in the ministry. He demanded details of the total number of lawyers in the ministry. The minister explained that the total number of lawyers in the ministry were about 860, adding that they were entitled to N300,000 each as robe allowance. Malami said, “860 lawyers are entitled to N300,000 annually as robe allowance,” the Minister said. Orker-Jev further asked the minister how often robe allowance was paid. The minister responded that it was annual payment and that it was a tradition. The senator who was surprised, said, “I used a robe more than 10 years.” The Chairman of the Committee, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, however, explained that the money was paid to make the lawyers presentable in court. He said, “The money was paid to the lawyers to make sure that they are presentable in court.” The ministry proposed N11.8 bn for 2022 budget. The personnel cost was N3.9bn, overhead cost (exclusive of legal services) – N2.4bn; legal services – N2bn and capital budget (N3.5bn). https://punchng.com/budget-defence-malamis-ministry-pays-lawyers-n258m-as-robe-allowance/ |

Eric Adams, a former captain in the NYPD, says he wants to make New York City the centre of the cryptocurrency industry. Eric Adams, the new mayor-elect of New York, says he wants his first three pay cheques in the role to be made out in Bitcoin. Adams, a Democrat and a retired captain in the New York Police Department, will become the second Black mayor of New York when he takes office in January. Responding to Miami mayor Francis Suarez who said he was going to take his next pay cheque in Bitcoin, Mr Adams responded: "In New York we always go big, so I'm going to take my first THREE paychecks in Bitcoin when I become mayor. "NYC is going to be the center of the cryptocurrency industry and other fast-growing, innovative industries! Just wait!" Mr Adams added. It follows a campaign in which Mr Adams referenced the Miami mayor's support for cryptocurrency and vowed that New York would become "the centre of Bitcoins" and "the centre of all the technology". "Miami, you had your run," he said. However the move may set Mr Adams on a collision course with New York's Attorney General, Letitia James, who has recently launched a crackdown on unregistered cryptocurrency companies. Last week, Ms James announced she would be running for New York governor in the midterms next year. Bitcoin is currently trading at around $61,500 (£45,800) per token although the notoriously volatile currency has been worth as little as $33,000 (£24,500) per token in recent months. Figures published at the start of this year showed 2.3 million UK adults held cryptoassets including Bitcoin, up by 400,000 on the previous year, despite warnings of the risks involved. In the UK, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has said that if consumers invest in the unregulated products they should be prepared to lose all their money. https://news.sky.com/story/new-yorks-new-mayor-eric-adams-wants-his-first-three-pay-cheques-in-bitcoin-12460775 Mynd44 Lalasticlala |

Our terms are that an impartial body made up carefully vetted administrators like the United Nations should organise a referendum in the South East and if the South East votes to leave, they should be allowed to leave in peace. Nigeria will play no role whatsoever in the referendum except to accept the outcome. DanHaske: |
This particular effort is being organised by the north. They want to control the whole project so that they will be the ultimate beneficiaries. They want to control the plan so if it fails, they will be able to say that they gave Igbos a chance and Igbos didn't take it. They will now claim that it is a sign that Igbos want to remain in Nigeria. ThankYouGod: |
And who will organise the departure of Igbos? Buhari's brain dead and hopelessly incompetent administration? Abókis who can't govern themselves want to organise the departure of Igbos from Nigeria? ![]() What IPOB wanted was for the United Nations to organise the procedure as an impartial judge with no financial or emotional commitment to the joke called Nigeria. That's how it is done worldwide. It was the United Nations who organised the referendum which led to the division of Sudan into two countries. I wish you clowns would invest this type of energy into improving yourselves instead of making fools of yourselves on the world stage. ThankYouGod: |
Igbos will leave Nigeria on their own terms, not on the terms of a group of illiterate beggars and terrorists. ThankYouGod: |
