Thank goodness I am still in PORT HARCOURT for now, I will do just to this and will sit back to watch you cry for me

I have seen how much emotional you are about PORT HARCOURT, I will make you cry on this forum by the time we finish showing your shithole PORT HARCOURT

Who doesn't know that PORT HARCOURT is a shithole despite the huge oil wealth. Lemme not add Obigbo yet. We shall focus our coverage on PH for now. You will understand how we roll.
Funny guy. Talking as if your threat will snuff life out of me.
PH will always be miles ahead of Anambra in all ramification.
So whether you ridicule it o, whether you dont o, it wont change nothing.

So go ahead and make shit of yourself. You better run to your shitiest of all shitholes called Onitsha.

Faceless forum? Ok then. Let's start. Make sure you are following my username, ofcourse I will tag. Everyone will see the shithole called PH, forget that I was praising the place. We are coming on a new thread to show the real face of Port Harcourt. Welcome on board. cheesy
Shithole you say??
That shithole is 100% better than anything in Anambra.
So if PH is shithole then your red mud stench is not even something to talk about.

I'm proud of my shithole. At least shitholes get levels.

I need not ask nothing. I know you very well. Abi na coz I no wan talk? You are not new to anyone here, your history on nairaland is well documented.

[s]Don't say what you don't know my friend. Don't make me change my tactics on how I cover Port Harcourt. There were a lot of stuff I left off in coverage of Port Harcourt just to market the city in a good light but if you continue the way you are going, I am gonna change my tactics.

Port Harcourt despite being a state capital and oil city is not any better than Onitsha on infrastructure and sanitation. Onitsha is a city with good infrastructures at least since Peter Obi till this new administration that has maintained the momentum. The thread you are talking about, the guy was showing markets, and I know that markets in Port Harcourt are not Dubai markets. I can go to Creek road, Oilmill, Slaughter, etc, to get pictures then tag them markets in Port Harcourt.

The guy you quoted was just a guy that served in Onitsha and gave his honest observation of the city, but you chose to talk rubbish in your response.

Don't get me started.

I am still Chino11

Pictures of lockdown in onitsha is on politics section now on nairaland. You can take a look and compare.
They are few pictures though, but based on your conclusion I can say those stench of an environment with the red mudded roads without workway in onitsha says a lot.

I'm specifically talking about hydroelectric power from the sea. I was just throwing ideas around but you're welcome to bring up alternatives.
Thinking of hydro in a state with abundant gas?

Farki:
How are you so sure? I can assume anything but it doesn't make it true.

You are missing the greater point here. We are too reliant on fossil fuels to power the national grid. Poor gas supplies and high prices are one of the reasons why there are persistent blackouts. As more people move into an area the greater the electricity burden they bring. If a reliable and renewable alternative can be implemented in one area with less people then it can be reproduced in other areas with more people or distributed to states that do not have access to the sea. This isn't about Lagos it is about moving forward from the persistent stagnation by trying new things.
It can be started in any area of any state, no matter the population. You must not start with the whole state or city at thesame time.

What will attract people to Akwa-Ibom is not neatness but availability of job opportunities. Right now, it's just civil service and church, church, church everywhere with pockets of pure water producers here and there. Not forgetting that betnaija is also a big industry in that state.
Bet chops are almost on every street, very weird. Well the state at this pace may get to the point where its economy will be attractive to industries, companies and factories.

My fear is let the Nigerian syndrome not catch up with it ie when the state becomes an economic power house it becomes dirty and disorganized.

Lol. I don't have to. Anambra has probably the best roads in Nigeria so calm down. Akwa Ibom is just coming up recently. No biggie over there. I've also noticed the little development Akwa Ibom has seen recently in Uyo and Eket is making them loud. I laugh. Hahaha.
Well they are loud because it's new to them(Its normal to have something you never had). However they've done a good job in the past 12yrs.

Blackking98:
you're still wrong oga. Outside Kano (which I believe their population is bloated on paper) which other Nigerian state can compare to Lagos in terms of population? River's, kaduna and other thick states still have relatively small population to Lagos. So your parameter for comparing Akwa iboms population to Lagos is just weird considering Lagos is over 50 years old and Akwa Ibom was created 1987. 15th most populous state out of 36 states and fct is not relatively small sir. It means a state state that is 30th is relatively non existent According to you.

Those people dont do polygamy. They rather marry one then get several side chicks.
AKS is one state that I know that polygamy is almost nonexistent, however them still dey pork outside. Them pork outside their marriage pass anyone, they dont even hide their marriage from the side kick.

Which is why I used the word relatively in relation to other states. So the idea can be tried there before implementing in more highly populated areas like Lagos or distributed inland..

Also are you really going to use a 14 year old census to nitpick my comment?
If you carry out a proper census now it will even be in the top 10 currently. Everything must not be Lagos, population must not be the yardstick.

If you can maybe write to your state representative about building a hydroelectric plant in the state. It has huge potential to ease the electricity burden and redirect petroleum products for export. The relatively small population of Akwa Ibom would make a good testing ground for alternative power sources.
Relatively small? So almost 4 million as at the last census is relatively small? The 15th most populous state in Nigeria as at 2006 census is relatively small?
Wonders shall never end.

This is what they all say. But las las there's nothing in the state, economy wise, money wise, structure wise. Nothing. And don't even talk of roads, Anambra beats Akwa Ibom by a mile.
AKS is known for serenity and orderliness as compared to other places in naija. They may not have the other things that makes a State thick, but they try to keep the state in a livable condition. I like that.

Akwa ibom state has always been the cleanest , even those living in the village always do community cleaning every week, the town crier will inform everyone to come out ,and as early as 6am you will see people coming out for the cleaning.
This is very true. I was surprised at the level of cleanliness even at the rural areas.
Well for my state Rivers the rural areas are cleaner than the cities, but AKS is clean all round.
