AFRICA MY AFRICA

"What you see in this picture is not happening in Africa! But in the United States - in the state of Georgia, and in an American university (Georgia Gwinnett).

The black woman you see is no ordinary person on the street. She is a Professor of Biological Sciences at this university. Her name is Ramata Sissoko. It should be added that she is from Mali in Africa .

This Professor hit the headlines in the United States by her humane gesture, relayed by thousands on Twitter.

That day, a student mother who could not find a babysitter for her baby and had to come to class with the child.

The Malian teacher, instead of sending the student to the door for the child's crying, was rather taken with compassion ... like a real African woman.

She took the baby from the student, carried it on her back in a typical African style and taught the lesson for three hours.

The child, very comfortable on her back, did not make a single noise during the three hours she gave the lesson. All the students could not believe.

what happened in my class last week....but some female lecturers I know would place a curse on both the mother n child
EducationRe: Hijab Controversy: Kwara Government Orders Immediate Reopening Of 10 Schools by King44(m): 2:23pm On Mar 17, 2021

The primary school I attended in Rivers state. I was forced to close my eyes and sing. I then went to a public secondary school still here in Rivers state and i was intimidated by my own teachers and told to clap my hands till i was in ss1. And i still TOLORATED it. Because even whilst I was young and not a christian I understood simple things lyk religious tolerance.
you could as well have asked your parent to take you to another state where they run Muslim schools.... When you are in Time behave like a Rome nobody forced it down on you but your parent could not afford to change your school due to the fact that you lived in Christian dominated areas n schools if there were Muslim schools there trust me dem go change u

That's not all about what is actually happening. What is actually happening is political. Towards the ending of last year and early this year, it was obvious to the governor that majority of people are no longer interested in him nor want him again.

They made it obvious to him and he got the message loud and clear that party Stewart and the people are waiting for PDP to come back. This caused a fight that was reported in major news outlets.

Then he thought about ( or was negatively advised) what he could do that people will start talking about him positively which will make majority of kwarans deviate from criticizing him.. then he reverted to the old tactics... use religious sentiment to gain people's acceptance.

What he doesn't know is people are well aware of what he is doing and the religious communities most especially Muslims are not in support of what he is happening

THE CHRISTIANS AND THE MUSLIMS HAVE BEEN LIVING IN PEACE AND HARMONY BEFORE ABDULRAHMAM CAME
Correct

This Abdul whatever with is religious biased approach would push peaceful Ilorin into religious crises. Why can't you separate your mind from religion loyalty and do the right thing though you might take the fall cos some Muslims might not like it but it would prevent civil unrest and death but no werey wants to satisfy his Muslim people ... I hope this doesn't degenerate into what he would be able to handle

Let them leave if they want. Only 30% of women who leave their husbands ever get to re-marry again. The rest will end up either having defunct sex lives or becoming patronizers of the booming sextoyys market. If they are rich enough they will pay young boys to do the task.
15 years later, they will be regretting, wishing they actually settled things amicably than leaving the marriage.

The first step is to restructure how our election is being conducted.... I wish the Inec chairman could be like Jega.

Then restructure the country so it could address grassroot problems up to the Federal level.

State and local gvt should be given power and there should be check and balance

I see nothing wrong in Igbo presidency but if this country is not restructured it would be counter productive

Why is it hard to allow MUSLIM STUDENTS who wish to use hijab (Because some won't even use) in GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS irrespective of the school's exegesis?
In a public school like Nawarudeen, WERE CHRISTIAN STUDENTS FORCED TO USE HIJAB?

Why this Hypocrisy for the sake of God!
why is it hard for them to allow Christian pupils have fellowship in Islamic founded schools... Besides there are more Muslim schools than Christians in Ilorin if no be trouble them dey find why didn't they take their wards to Muslim founded schools like it's been done everywhere

Most government owned muslim schools in Kwara state forbade Christian Student Fellowship. So, if Muslims want the use of hijab in a government owned Christian schools then FCS should also be permitted in all government owned Islamic school. That's what is called religion tolerance.

If the Christians of the missionary grant schools take a step, moved or compromised for the sake of peace las las all missionary grant schools in Ilorin would end a a ismamic grant schools... This is a deliberate trespass which could lead to serious religious tension.

middlebelter:
This Governor is really sowing seed of discord , I pray he end well. These schools have been there perharps before he was born and you just wake up suddenly one day because of some religious extremist pushing anti -Christian policies asking them to allow usage of Hijab in a Christian school? These are the test of fairness on this matter:

Can the Governor allow Christian to enter mosque with their shoes on? Are the Christian schools the only schools in the city ? If the Governor was not instigating crisis to cover his poor performances, while can't he expand the none- missionary schools to accommodate the Hijab wearing Muslims? Turn the table around and imagine a Christian Governor treating the Muslim minorities these way, the noise will be un if the unbearable. Now the Yorubaland will separate from North, Ilorin and Ilorin Muslims in particular is a major problem the SW has to solve.
He is not wise enough in handling such sensitive issue... If force is used... More trouble either now or later and it would get bigger till itst out of control

Godmademan:
I see nothing wrong with the hijab. So long they are not teaching Islam to Christian kids it's OK. If the hijab is a bone in the neck of the school authorities, they can just systematically decline admission to fresh Muslim students. The Muslims should also consider open special schools for their children where they can do all they want. It's no big deal huh
If they denied them admission they will complain, they were given admission more trouble. They shouldn't have given them niyen
