What the hell do you mean calling Canada the "6ix"?Where did you learn it from?

The 6ix refers to the cities that make up the Great Toronto Area (or, GTA), but is mostly used when talking about Toronto.

Yeah. I understand. It's quite painful to come from a country as Nigeria. But GOD is all-wise; you are here probably so you could find Him and walk with Him-after all has been said and done, you would be with Him in the new world to come for eternity.
Look beyond the present, look beyond Nigeria,....
.

So people in western countries won’t make heaven? Same people that brought Christianity to Africa? You’re funny AF.. we’re suffering and hoping for after life in heaven.. why not enjoy earth first?

please stop talking nonsense

You’re the one that’s talking in nonsense shocked shocked
When you compare standards of living, you’ll notice Nigeria is more expensive to live in..
Like those living around Lekki phase1, Vi and Ikoyi that pays around 5-20 millions Naira for house rent and more than 1-5millions Naira for service charge and pay more than 100k for light. the standard of living in the area is low compare to Ireland. Do your findings well before you start talking nonsense here..

Or you think say na everybody de live in slum and pay #2,500 as rent? 95% of Nigerians are mere existing not living.

For clarification, you are right, cos i applied for student loan in 2019 and i was given a very little amount and no grant because of how much i made in 2018. Now i said my sister had the money sitting in her account, i didn't say she made it all in a year. My sister worked as a personal support worker for 2 years before applying for a nursing degree. She worked part time while pursing her nursing degree and she just completed her RN qualification exam in February this year. the money she has was not made as nurse but was saved up from the time she was a PSW. Specifically, she didn't save much in 2016, but according to her, she saved 40k in 2017, 22k in 2018 and 18k in 2019. And trust me, as a nurse, she will make much more.

Instead of immigrating to the US or Canada to work blue collar jobs I know people.do it for a while though, can't you start your own company. Working 13 hours, that's crazy.

I'm planning to migrate to the US to do my PhD I don't really plan of working a 9 - 5 job, I hope to mix up with those white boys that have a dream of being their own boss and start a company together.

Finally, I will rather invest my money rather than saving it.

Oga how many companies you don get grin grin Father of companies.. the way you’re even saying it self.. like it’s that easy to run a company.. You’re not gonna work and saved up money before starting company or you think money grow on tree in USA or you think it’s like Nigeria when you can run or start company with illegal money (fraud/embarrassment money) without the FBI and CIA not visiting you even if you secured they’ll still catch you in the future.

Oga in US peoples invest in tangible things first like real estate or stock market before starting a company..

You wanna meet those whites boys and start companies with them.. that’s a dumb sh1t to say grin grin

Go read your post you said he saves after that taxes and expenses. Either way , you post no make sense , a community support worker is not making no where $5000 after taxes. Please stop spreading false narratives. A simple internet search gives a low - average - high range of incomes of various professions in America.

Madam are you in the USA? Why’re you arguing about what you don’t have ideas about? Why’re you trying to be daft? You think people get paid monthly in developed countries? She’s trying to explain to you that the guys work extra hours and get more paid and you’re arguing what you know nothing about..

The current average salary of an Community Support Worker is $50,600 - 61,000 annually.. that’s the lowest you get working as a community Support Worker (40 hours weekly) and you can work more hours to get more paid.. I don’t know what’s hard to understand..

Hdanny:
It amazes me when people think posting pictures of being single and happy reduces the tension and pain of being dumped by their so called Ex but NO, it only make you look WEAK.

You should understand that RELATIONSHIP is 50/50, take it or leave it, and as far as am concern the worse than can happen is Breakup. So when this eventually happened, never go about posting pictures or post like “ It feels good to be Singlé” “ I don’t give a Bleep about guys” “ Single and Happy “ and so on.

Instead, channel this energy in developing yourself, build yourself, invest in your dreams, just be happy within yourself, learn from your past relationship and work on yourself. Do things you have never done before positively, take yourself out and chill out, some broken relationships don’t worth the stress bro, instead just MOVE ON and don’t take things to social media, it won’t help, you are just killing your emotions by doing that gradually.

LIFE IS SHORT!!!

The best thing to do is to move on with your life and try developing yourself more and be happy trying out new things, getting more experiences. Life is too short to be killing yourself emotionally..

When I was abt to break up finally with my ex last year.. I read a lot of post on romance section and it helps a lot. Now most of Nigeria girls look unattractive to me and I’ve been happy and trying out new things..

Yes very true..
Since I broke up with my ex(not even my specs; I compromised) Most of the girls I’ve been seeing now looks so unattractive in my eyes. (beauty is in the eye of the beholder) Either too much makeup, trying too hard to be more beautiful, With attitude problems, even when I see some girls pictures on social media I gat turn off..(The way they pose and be setting their ass like what guys want is ass ( we nor be gay abeg. Shift your small ass go one side) it’s just irritating to me and I feel these kind of girls don’t have anything to offer rather then sex and make unnecessary demands.

Disability jobs pay well enough to earn money for tuition fee, rent and others. I can't give you a specific amount cos it varies with the agencies.
You don't need to write any exam, the agency will definitely train you and also if you're lucky enough you get paid for the training.

Thank but you got my number two question wrong.. I was asking if university exams (undergraduate degree) are multiple choice (OBJ) or theory (essay).. my guy in Canada told me that exams there’re in multiple choice..

Yea one of the eastern europeans always sees my dad and hails him petroldollar in their "accent". My papa call am on phone. See as e pick the nigerian number with dignity.
I can understand their "ruthlessness".
Though this is out of topic, but what do you feel about child services blowing little things out of proportion and accusing innocent people. Claiming people's children unnecessarily like property.

People in Europe believes that Nigeria have money because of her natural resources (mostly oil) and the greedy politicians keep embezzling billions of dollars into their country and making their economy better and in return the banks give out loans without/little interest most time, for the citizens to trade with the money..

That’s why those Nigerian that went to Europe through Libya don’t uses Nigeria as their nationality to seek asylum because once you mention you’re from Nigeria’ they’ll deport you the next morning because Nigeria is blessed with everything. They’ll prefer using other African countries like Togo or niger to seek asylum.

I'm simply advising you to lower your expectations and prepare if you must travel.

If you are in Nigeria pay attention to the opportunities.

What I've I said wrong.

Yes I get it . You guys are extremely frustrated, instead of listening to someone who has lived the life you aspire to, you result to insults.

So how come Seun osewa and Linda Ikeji are billionaires from simple blogging and a forum, yeah that's the Nigerian leverage I'm talking about.

How much does the Seun have? Is nairaland in the stock market and how many people buy it share? Do the site have app? He only created nairaland which have less than 3m people as member and he’s not earning direct through the site’ google and other host is paying him. You don’t know how all the work and you just called people billionaire because they’re popular.

Linda: she leveraged her way to the top (through connections and gifts from politicians) how many people still visit her site where instablog is there.

You need to see the opportunities available to you out there especially in this internet age ..

Do you know how much is data, laptops and the unfavorable electricity blackout. Do you know it’s a crime to own a laptop in Nigeria? Be realistic

The things you call basic stuff in the west are not free at all. Can you pay 400 pounds a month for electricity, 1500 pounds per month for a mortgage, 200 pounds for car insurance, road tax, I'm not even finished yet, That's like 2000 pounds without food, if you have kids then more spending

You don’t know what you’re talking about boy.
The highest you can pay monthly for electricity is 150 pounds and you can’t use more than 1500 pounds for food and grocery for a family of four and pay rent in the suburbs (more better than lekki) for a three bedroom apartment around 1500-1700 pounds (included gas, electricity bill, internet, water and heat) cars loan gas, insurance for two car will be around 1000 pounds. hospital is free, school is also free. Totally cost will be Around 4000 pounds and you’ll be making around 5k and your wife around 3k=8000-4000=4000 as saving. So what’s your point?

How much is it to rent a flat in lekki for a year ?

Average Three bedroom flat in lekki phase 1cost around #3,000,000 plus service charge #500,000 in a local estate.. Electricity cost around 50k-100k and the light won’t be constant. School fee each term lowest 700k-2m (hospital grin grin grin) fuel for two cars and gen around 300k each month, food, grocery items, internet, phones bills is 250k monthly
Annual expenses in lekki will be around 10m and how many couples earn that much?
Even doctors in private hospitals and junior doctors in government hospitals can’t afford to live in that slum and most suburbs in west are more standard than your Lekki

Do your research well son

U guys can't argue properly without assuming things and making it part of the narrative like it's facts .

I never said there are no billionaires in the west , I said how many Nigerian billionaires are in the west.

In fact which Nigerian Diaspora is richer than dangote.

You see some of you guys think you're intelligent but obviously lacking in simple common sense...

You have leverage in Nigeria if you know how to play, in the west there's an invincible glass ceiling if you are foreign , not saying you can't break through but chances are slim, I'm talking real wealth now.

The numbers of Nigerian billionaires in the Diaspora should make that clear.

You nor just know anything.
Ask yourself how many many Nigerian living in Nigeria can be richer than your so called dangote.

You think things work same way in the west like Nigeria system that’s stagnant. How can just one person be richest man in Nigeria for so long and you’re not asking yourself questions?
You can see the way that first position have been changing from one person to another in the US and how they’re helping African (I nor wan de too talk here) how many help your dangote don help Africa?

You have leverage in Nigeria if you know how to play, in the west there's an invincible glass ceiling if you are foreign , not saying you can't break through but chances are slim, I'm talking real wealth now.
(You have leverage in Nigeria if you know how to play) so you must you corrupt and need connections before you can make it in Nigeria right ? What a shame cry cry cry

Developed countries will assistance your business plan and if you’re a lady the govt will contribute funds and you can easily get a loan with low interest rates.

I just de shame for you
