The ones I retire from my uber fleet are sold by my mechanic. Once my mechanic advices me to get rid of it I do it. He looks for buyers himself and sells it off. And my currant ones on uber are still serving me well.


You are mechanic and u have created a niche for urself for both Tokunbo cars and used cars sales. You are at an advantage than me ..

But me personally I just don't have the passion or the motivation for it .. Car business itself is stressful talk less of selling naija used ...... There is market for everything and of coz naija used cars. Even naija used cars sells faster than Tokunbo......

I respectfully say that I am not shifting goal post , but stating the obvious. There is a market for it , I just don't have the passion for it..

Yeah... I use the recommended oil Mobil 1 extended performance high millage, got it from a reputable source directly from the US. [i]Use radiator coolant for the now while planning to switch to coolant water[/i] after completely solving the common problem with the radiator water can breakage.

Millage os currently at 109k+miles.

Car is used for hire/ehailing.

This is not a good sign at all . if there was sign of leak on the ground . Than good news at least u can try to trace the leak ... But if there is no sign of any leaks at all .. It means the oil is burning somewhere and more than likely the engine is bad .. You can always ask for a second opinion .........what type of oil were u using?

My experience from my uber cars .. During my early yes of uber with no experience with car maintenance. I used a 2003 camry at the time on my fleet. I was using 20w50 xhp The engine kept shorting oil with no sign of leaks on the ground and little white smoke coming out at morning start up very little smoke.

So my mechanic advice to top the engine with 20w50 and sell the car.. So anytime a buyer comes to look at the car . we start the car up to clear up the smoke before any buyer shows up . And that is how we were able to sell the car .. And from there on I vowed never to use 20w50 oil again.......

Do business with Dru23 at your own peril. This kind of guy can dilute the so called synthetic oil he sells with roadside oil before resealing and selling to unsuspecting buyers. Be warned.
