Ibrahim Mantu, the former Deputy Senate President, was buried in Abuja in the early hours of Tuesday, August 17.




Prayers for the deceased were performed in the Sheikh Khalid mosque in Abuja, where family members, friends, and political allies had gathered.Dimeji Bankole, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, were among the luminaries that attended the funeral.


His remains was later buried in Abuja's Gudu Cemetery.

Oluwaseun Sakaba, a Nigerian woman whose husband, Lt. Col I. Sakaba, was slain by Boko Haram terrorists in 2018, has lambasted the Nigerian Army for sharing photographs of repentant sect members holding placards begging Nigerians for forgiveness

Sakaba was one of 44 soldiers murdered by militants in November 2018 during a raid on the 157 Task Force Battalion in Metele, Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno State.

Oluwaseun Sakaba, his widow, read the Nigerian Army's post with the sect members pleading for forgiveness and reacted on her Instagram page.She asked the Nigerian Army if she should forgive the same people who made her a widow at a young age.

She wrote;

All tongues are known natural languages . If you are speaking in unknown unnatural language , you are just blabbing : glossolalia - this isn't from the Holy Spirit . The primary reason for speaking in these known natural language unknown to the speaker was to help spread the gospel to people who would understand the language.

Praying in tongues is no different from praying in a natural language you are familiar with : you are still communicating the same issues to God but in a different known natural language .

Focus on possessing the other gifts of the spirit like love , joy , peace and stop this unhealthy obsession with speaking in tongues .

All shall be saved in the end - this has been made possible through Jesus Christ who died for our sins and resurrected, giving us victory over death and ensuring our eternal union with God .
