Once an average Nigerian is given a gun, he starts misbehaving. Whether the person is in the NA, NN, NAF, NPF, NSCDC or even Boys Scout. The truth here is that an average Nigerian once armed sees himself as a demigod capable of getting away with any crime he commits. Amotekun might have their shortcomings-they are armed Nigerians but I believe that most of the allegations against them are fabricated. You all should recall how those in power kicked against it for their selfish reasons...they wanted the herdsmen to keep on having a field day in the west. |
