please i need advice or a good auto electrician in Port Harcourt that knows about LEXUS GS350, the car comes up but doesn't raise when you step on the throttle. Mechanics have checked the valves, changed the air flow meter, even fuel pump, still nothing. Please tell me what could be the cause. If anyone had similar issues?

What was done to the car that made it develop such fault, have you scanned the car, if yes, what are the codes?

It's a machine, the same engine with the is350.

This is untrue pls.

The is350 doesn't use a 2GR-FE which is a port injection engine (MPI)and is ment for transverse application; it uses a 2GR-FSE which is both port injection and direct injection engine (MPI & GDI) and is meant for longitudinal applications.

Subaru make really rugged cars and SUVs that are pitch perfect for our Nigeria roads such as the Forester, Outback and Impreza. But I’m quite surprised that they’ve not been able to make its way into the Nigerian market. I mean for a car brand that prides itself on building products for difficult driving terrains, they should be everywhere on our roads considering we have some of the worst roads for cars anywhere in the world! Why have Nigerians not accepted Subaru yet? Is it that they’re very unreliable? Do they have engine or electrical problems? Or it’s just a case of limited knowledge about the brand?

I’m presently on the lookout for a new compact/midsize SUV and I have been doing a lot of research on some of the best and affordable ones out there and I find the 2019 Subaru Forester quite interesting and impressive. Toyotas (RAV4 and Highlander) and Lexus of similar age, specs and features are just too pricey and that’s why I’m looking at cheaper alternatives.

So auto experts in the house, mechanics and car users and enthusiasts in the house, can you please drop your 2 cents on this matter? What is wrong with the Subaru?

Hope you can deal with their flat engines?

I'm getting a new chest freezer tomorrow and the price difference between Haier Thermocool and Hisense for the same size of freezer is in excess of 50k with Thermocool the more expensive. Your review of the Hisense will help me make a choice as I'm having doubts about the Hisense.

I can't advise you on what you should spend your money on, buy whatever works for you.

Alot of folks claim they enjoy thermocool but I didn't. Alot of folks say hisense doesn't retain frost for long, my personal experience is excellent.

I want to swap my brothers Nissan Altima 08 2.5L engine and CVT for the 2014 model. The goal is to get better mpg since the fuel prices are really high now.
I’ve heard someone swapped his Murano engine and transmission with the 2014 2.5 and it works perfectly with really impressive mpg.
Do you have any idea about this? They both use the same QR25DE engine but I know the CVT is different cos of the fluid. What do you think?

Sometimes I will have a smooth transmission. Other times it will slip.
Currently it has slipped. I rev the car high but h it moves slow.

Yes your transmission fluid need to be warmed up.

Slippage n transmission doesn't only occur when transmission fluid is low

Fix the P0301 cylinder 1 misfire by swapping the plug, coil, injectors and testing them.

If the misfire changes from P0301 to any other, you have a culprit.

You also need to check the camshaft sensors by swapping them.

I noticed my gear takes time to switch to gear 4 from 3. I need to rev down very well before it switches. And I also noticed it gives humming sound on gear 3.
I have changed ATF filter, still does same.

Did you scan the transmission?
You did not also specify if it's 4 cylinder or v6 and I did not see anywhere where you stated the type of ATF you used.

For the P0420, your catalytic converter should be replaced.

The codes P043E, P043F, P2401, P2402, P2419 refers to your evap system having a malfunction. Trace the wiring if broke damaged, fix it. The vacuum switching valve and the cannister should be checked for damages or being stuck, if any anomaly is found, replace it. Check all vacuum hoses for leaks too.

The last code refers to your transmission torque converter pressure control solenoid circuit having a malfunction. I suggest you remove battery, take out wiring harness socket which plugs into the transmission, check the pins for bending or breakage or corossion,clean it using appropriate cleaning compounds, allow to dry, connect the socket firmly, check ATF level, drain and refill.

I need quick intervention on my Honda civic 2009 Gearbox issues
I experience heavy jerk when shifting from Park or Neutral into Drive or reverse, it delays a little before jerking heavily.
But runs smoothly when moving.
I have changed the 2 solenoids, change the oil still the same, my mechanic suggest changing the Gearbox but am not convinced my Gearbox is totally bad just like that, I think it's a solvable problem. Kindly help in this regards if you have ever experienced such and solved it.

Did you drain and refill its transmission fluid?
If yes, what transmission fluid do you use in servicing it?

Pls gurus in the house help me, since the last time my kazeem help me change the tension adjuster of my 05 corrola I noticed some noise coming from engine side but he said it's the power steering pump but today the engine is really making noise and it shows a red engine sign of oil dropping....I called him to explain things to him he said they have to check the engine pump through the sump and I have to do it fast before it knocks the engine...I'm just confused and tired I have spent alot changing the adjuster twice in 2 months😫

You should stop driving that car till it's fixed. Do not start that engine!

Good day house, I drive Opel Zafira 99/2000 model, manual drive. I discovered it is consuming more than expected fuel. I have been referred to two experts but they wouldn't give a specific reason it is doing so. Though I just replaced the engine not quite long and I have been noticing this issue since i replaced it. What could likely be the problem and the solution please?.

I don't know what to advice you because your your car needs an expert who'd physically inspect it.

Yeah I understand what you mean especially concerning the gearbox being a cvt.

But the reality is that, so far so good, Honda has actually perfected their cvt technology at that year. Their gearboxes in those 1.5L turbos don’t give issues at all like other manufacturers do/did. Make your findings.

I make bold to say the cvt gearboxes in those models are really solid. I will like the 2.0T but for this tinubu regime na the 1.5T I go jejely manage go house
