Won't the car overheat?
A low petrol level even with all those things you listed working fine will also cause a car to run lean momentarily until the pump stops picking up fuel. If that is enough to cause the car to overheat is another angle that is debatable.

Low on fuel doesn't necessarily mean the car can't pick up fuel. If the fuel pump is submerged and can still pick up some fuel yet, it's showing low fuel warning mark, it's still low.

It may interest you to know that for different cars and makes and models, low fuel can be different fuel amount left in reserve.

A lean mixture would cause your engine to overheat.
A car that is running extremely lean would overheat and when you compound it with low fuel level, you make matters worse if you keep forcing the car to run that way.

Lean mixture is as a result of failing AF sensor or MAF or bad fuel pump and not low fuel level.

I have w202 C180 with a leaking spark plug wire in the 3rd cylinder that was sealed by a nylon tape. Car drives fine aside occasional noticeable jerks (not all the time) which shows that current is at times escaping or flow of current is being interrupted. As I said, car drives fine. Would you consider this an urgent repair or I can continue to manage the plug wire till I recover from school fees palaver? cry

Buy a full tank, reset the trip counter, allow it to drive to reserve, fill up and do same again taking note of the distance covered from full tank to empty. The calculation is given thus:

(Litres used X 100) ÷ km travelled = Litres per 100km.

I am currently having this issue with my Honda Accord 2010.

It revs to like 3500 - 4000 sometimes. I try to accelerate gently to avoid this issue but it jerks when it is changing gear.

My mechanic said I should change the gear (@NGN 600k) but I dont have that money.

Also, the D (Drive) light blinks.

How can I fix this issue

Your car manufacturer states toyota type T-iV. Use only what the manufacturer stated sir.

As for gear not shifting, replace transmission.

Kindly help me out. My car is a w202 c180. My alternator is charging my battery with no complaints, but my mystery is that the car goes off if you remove the battery terminal. Does that mean my alternator's output is low, or is my alternator is on its way out?

Use a multimeter to check the voltage reading, it should be 13.5-14.8v

Check the dash, when you put the gear to Park, does the P symbol come on?

Pls my toyota yaris 2006 hatch back S2Z engine gear had issues. Mechanic told me the ATF dex III from oando is smelling burnt and in needs of fiber as gear is not engaging but it engages only reverse.

Pls do you hav an Idea hw much this will cost compared to buying another gear

Avoid that mechanic, get someone else who's competent. Your car need proper diagnosis then the right way to fix it.

Depends sir.
Absence of catalytic converter on it's own may not cause high fuel consumption, however, a blocked catalytic converter may cause high fuel consumption.

Pls my honda civic 2006 that I bought cos of subsidy removal gives a strong smell of fuel inside the car whenever I fill the tank. It is so strong that the smell even affects my cloth.
And I don't think I am enjoying the fuel capacity of the car. A full tank doesn't stay up to 2 weeks driving from airport to FMC Hospital every working day of the week. How do I also check the rate of fuel consumption in the car? Thanks

Was your fuel pump worked on?
If yes, check that it was fitted properly, check EVAP system and fuel lines.
The yardstick you use in measuring your fuel consumption is flawed.
