DissTroy: Not to defend him but he was referring to replicating massively what Donald Duke did in Cross River with tourism in Akwa Ibom. Plans have already even begun for Ibom Carnival from the rumours I've heard, like the Calabar Carnival.
The Governor-elect is in the tourism sector. A hotelier with about 27 hotels spread across various states under the Royalty brand.
I'm not his biggest fan but what he said was deliberately misconstrued by the opposition that's why you'd see clips. I'd have preferred two other candidates, the APC guy being one of them based on antecedence. Well whatever he meant, e sure say that place go be the new hub for weekend flexing which translates to more tourism money for the state, big win for enjoyment addicts like me and for the state as well. I wish him the very best |

Spy360: Yes he did well for Ebonyi. I can attest.
But not as good as PO. I am considering the margin of increase in development. Anambra was the worst SE state before. Onitsha their best town was actually a glorified slum. Let's agree to disagree, if you plied Ebonyi under Egwu and Elechi, you'd know what I mean |

Spy360:

SE has always suffered from bad leadership. Our leaders are either stealing state resources or acting as stooges to external forces.
SE has always been unfortunate.
That was why PO gained attraction because he appeared as one that was against the status quo I personally think that since I was born, although you can contest it, Engr. Dave Umahi has been the only SE Governor to comfortably beat his chest and say he's done well, his work speaks for him even his critics know even PO no reach Umahi in terms of performance |

Spy360: Actually it was the SC guy that destroyed most of Rochas projects including all his mumu roundabouts. To be fair, the SC guy improved on traffic control. But he is just not liked not trusted and he is not doing anything to correct that.
As for the green cap guy, he is the most useless person anyone from Imo state will want to consider now. There was a reason no one protested when he was cheated out of his position. The guy did nothing as deputy speaker. Absolutely nothing.
He just found himself as the winner of an election where there were no preferred choices. That was why it was easy for the SC guy to dethrone him without resistance. Hmmmm, hopefully they get it right by November. These una Governor titles dey mad me Okoroawusa, Cockorocha, Hopeless Hope, Uzodinyash to name but a few |

Spy360: Rochas did well in his first tenure. Very well. But the people didn't want him for second tenure because of most people then were of the opinion that he was not a technocrat, he didn't follow due process, and they didn't trust his source of wealth. They saw him as a political 419 and his defection to APC from APGA, he did so by sacking his deputy who was the reason he got the APGA ticket. But he did quite well to be honest. His second tenure he won through rigging I can say and the inability of PDP to keep their house together, he punished the state with the most terrible government ever experienced.
Imo people then rejected him and his anointed successor who happened to be his son in law. They also resisted him but there were no preferred candidate which gave the APC room to manipulate things. And then the Supreme Court happened.
So it was not like Hope was chosen, he was more like imposed. He didn't even campaign. Most people didn't even know he was contesting until the case started going to court. Truly Hope would not stand a chance if he competed with any person.
I summary apart from Udenwa and Rochas first tenure, Imo state has never elected their governor since 1999. Nice, but rumors were rife that 'Green cap' started his short-lived administration by destroying the Cockroach's projects and precious statues, do you think green cap could've performed better than Hopeless? |

Ebus12: APC winning in a South-South state? Nah! Now I believe the rigging allegations leveled on this party. Not possible in this life. We will challenge it in court. Sensible Nigerians have moved beyond voting on local party lines and are now voting credible candidates regardless of party affiliation |
