Is pharaoh a title or a name
Don't come for me, IAM not good at history so I want to learn.
Thought it was just one pharaoh that was recorded in the Bible.
Explorer "Pharaoh" was a royal title used by the kings of ancient Egypt just as you have kingship titles like Oba, Ooni, Obi, Igwe, Ovie, Emir, Obong, etc. It's not just a name of one particular person, rather Pharaoh is the "title" answered by all kings of ancient Egypt after been crowned. So there were countless Pharaohs who had ruled Egypt in the ancient time. |

Olami83: The speech was just an illustration, the figure might sound huge but that's a good move to tackle insecurity and unemployment Are you serious? There is no country in the world that has even up to 20 million personnel in its military; not even the US, China or Russia. China as at today has the largest armed forces (all their army+ air force+ Navy added together) by active duty military personnel and it's just 2.19 million soldiers. China is followed by India (1.44 million), USA (1.4 million), North Korea (1.3 million) and Russia (1 million). If those advanced, rich world powers have only those numbers of personnel in their armed forces, how then should a small poor country like Nigeria that is just like one state in the USA think of recruiting a whooping 50 million people into its army not even across the entire armed forces? That suggestion Tinubu made is very senseless, irrational and embarrassing. It also shows he is out of tune with reality. |

Nigeriabiafra82: And most who think such way always call themselves intellectual because they were able to speak and write English language Worst is none of them have travel beyond their mother’s kitchen hence they will argue on everything You are the one that is so ignorant here. Do you know what is sovereignty and Territorial integrity? The case of Egypt cannot be compared to that of Igboland. Egypt is not a landlocked country because it shares coastline with the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. In other words, Egypt is bounded in the North by the Mediterranean Sea and in the Southeast by the Red Sea. Furthermore, the whole of the Suez canal is within Egyptian territory unlike the River Niger which traverses many countries and Igboland only share a portion of it. If Igboland become a country of its own today, it will need the permissions of Ijawland to be able to reach the Atlantic ocean using the River Niger because the River Niger enters the ocean through their territory. The River Niger is not an international water, if not Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger Republics wouldn't have been landlocked because the River Niger also flow through their lands. They would have just simply place vessels on the River and sail through Nigerian territory to the ocean. But will Nigeria allow them the use of the portion of the River Niger in its territory without grant of permission? Except Ijawland and other parts of the Niger Delta will be part of the country igbos desire to create, there is no way they will access the ocean without seeking permission from tribes of the Niger Delta through whose territories the River Niger enters the Atlantic ocean. |

mamdanju: [They are angry simply because a northener defeated them in an election. During the endsars northerners were targeted, killed and their properties destroyed not because of any Fulani herdsmen but because of hatred for their tribe and religion. In the south east and the south south ipob is going around targeting hausas and their businesses. We saw what happened in orlu in IMO, in abia and in rivers and shasa in Oyo. So far the northern leaders were able to restrained the northerners from reprisal but it is reaching the limit. Remember 70% of Nigeria landmass is in the north and no other region has been able to accommodate people from other places like the north. Southern intelligencias and big time business men have investment in billions in the north. The killings in the north will target this categories of persons. So continue to hail your people to kill and maim others under the cover of herdsmen. When the kith and kin of those killed revenge, it should not come as surprise to you quote author=Asswipemod post=99394162]
Speaking about soft targets, its a way of life in the North to attack and kill soft targets from the South for the flimsiest reasons.
Don't forget that these same soft target burnt somebody alive the previous day in a place where people have accomodated them. You really need to ask yourself this question: why is everybody angry with Northern muslims in the South? There must be something they are doing that is aggravating all these. Talking about the North, don't deceive yourself that Benue, Taraba, Plateau, Kwara, Kogi States will join you Hausa/Fulanis in any reprisal against Southerners. |

I expect you to openly condemmn the act instead of displaying hypocracy. Those schools in question are Christian established schools. Tranquility4u: The female Muslim students are the ones to wear the Hijab on their body, not their Christian schoolmates.
So why striping and denying them their fundamental and constitutional rights?
Afterall, Britain and the United States of America and many other countries more developed than this nation, allow the use of Hijab in their schools.
But the Christian extremists want to control even the way Muslims dress, so that Muslim students will be half-naked like them.
That will never happen!
Enough is enough! Will you Muslims allow Christian girls enroll in your Islamiyya schools and also allow them not to wear hijab? Be truthful for once. |
