It's a lie

Osakwe Is the short form of Olisakwe

Just like Osemeka

I don't know why you guys are arguing...the last time I checked it's Ika Igbo is what they are calling them

Now argue with Google

Agbor is Ominijie and what does that mean in Benin
Agbor king is Obi or Dein ...what does that mean in Benin
"Ominije" ("Omini-eje"wink in Edoid language particularly in Urhobo language means, "Cosmopolitan Settlement" or congregation of people of diverse origin". Agbor was given that name because it was originally established/settled by diverse people who escaped from harsh and oppressive rules of ancient Edo monarchs. Several Urhobo-Isoko clans have ancient history of how they once lived in Agbor environs before finally migrated to their present homelands. I am from a clan in Urhoboland called "Agbon" Kingdom and our history tells of how our ancestors migrated from ancient "Udo" (near Benin) during the "Ogisos Dynasty" era and lived in Agbor (Ominije) vicinity where our ancestral patriarch "Agbon" had his first son who he named "Okpara", before he later moved with his family and settled in present Urhoboland. Till today there is a town in my Agbon Kingdom in Ethiope East LGA of Delta State called "Okpara" founded by descendants of the first son of Agbon. My point is that Agbor has a very strong Edo origin, and the name"Ominije" is no also of Edo origin no doubt.

Is it votes that generate revenues which power the economy of Nigeria?

Niger Republic has large deposits of uranium which they mine for export, but do they have the technological-know-how for nuclear weapons development? The answer is NO. So not every country that has deposits of uranium can build nuclear weapons.

LordIsaac:
SIM is "Sudan Interior Mission."
The name "Sudan" was an Arabic term which means the "lands of the blacks". So from geographical and historical points of view, the whole of the Savannah regions outside the rainforests and up to the Sahara desert, stretching from West Africa to parts of East Africa was known to Arab explorers as "Sudan". The Sudan region in Nigeria covers from Kogi and Benue States upward to Sokoto-Kano-Borno States. Similarly, the whole of the rainforest region of West Africa stretching from Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Ghana, Southern Nigeria and down to Cameroon is called "Guinea" which means "forest" in the Portuguese language.

Arrewa:
Observe this thread and you'll see how happy the children of hate are...

Nothing gives them pleasure like seeing disagreement or conflict among northern tribes!!

That's why they've been pushing the middle belt agenda to cause division in the north!!

Let's make this clear, there is no clash between Hausa and Fulani in sokoto and there will never be...

There's only clash between farmers and some herdsmen which happens occasionally...

And here, we have our own way of resolving and disescalting such conflict!

When Obedients say “Middle belt” they mean “Christian belt” but what they failed to realize is even in their so called “Christian belts” Muslims have the higher population!!

Niger is 75% Muslims with a Muslim governor Sani Bello

Kogi is 60% Muslims with yahya bello as the governor!

Kwara with 70%. Muslim population with Abdullarazak as their governor!!

Nasarwa is 65% Muslim population with Abdullahi sule as their governor!!

In the north central only plateau and Benue have Christian governors!!

With plateau having 50-50 both faith population while Benue is the only state in the north central with over 90% Christian population yet piter obi lost the state!!

The north remain the most united region in Nigeria with over 300 ethnic groups!!

Children of hate are already celebrating the war between Hausa and Fulani... Una go wait tire!!

These two tribes with time have intertwined into the most powerful Nation in Nigeria!!
In your false narration of religion composition of the "Middle Belt", you tactically avoided to mention Taraba State as among the States with continuous Christian governors in the North. You said Moslems are 50℅ of Plateau State? You must be high on cheap drugs! Moslems are not even up to 30℅ of Plateau State indigenous population. Contrary to you claim, Nasarawa State has over 50℅ Christian population. Don't come here and try to deceive the reading public.

How many people are in bene republic again?

If Nigeria was just like eg Ebonyi, small, maybe 5 million people, it will be very easy to govern.

Don’t be comparing 5million people to 250 million people. Over 300 ethnic groups. Over 500 languages. Oboy, incomparable.
so what will you now say about China with over 1.3billion people yet they enjoy good standard of living. Our population is not even up to 1/5th of China's population. What Nigeria lack is good leadership

Ancient Udo is Benin or Edo speaking
I know, but at the time the Urhobos were there, there was nothing like Benin or Benin Kingdom. What we had was "Aka Kingdom" been ruled by the "Ogisos" with capital in "Udo". The earlier ancestors of the various clans of Urhobo-Isoko lived under Ogiso rule and not under Oba. It was the collapse of the Ogiso Dynasty (around 900AD) that led to the mass exodus of our ancestors out of ancient Udo environs to our present homelands. In other words, many of the Urhobo-Isoko clans had left the Udo region long before the rise of the Oba Dynasty, and subsequent change of name from "Aka" (Kingdom) to "Benin"
(Kingdom) and later "Edo". These explain why much of Urhobo-Isoko folklores and ancient tales are centered around the Ogisos and Udo, and events which took place during those eras.

In the first place, don't take all what that guy said concerning Urhobo-Benin relationship serious. I'm Urhobo, and I can't deny the close ancestral and linguistic origins which exist among all Edoid people. No doubt Urhobo is Edoid, but that does not mean Urhobo descended from Benin. Rather, Urhobo and Benin and other Edoid groups are like siblings with common ancestors(descendants of the same ancestors). We see Benin as "senior brother" and not as "father". Ancient "Udo" was our common place of origin before the great dispersal, and long before the emergence of the Oba Dynasty.

Funny how most comments here didn't attribute it to religion cos the lady involved is a muslim.
Let me tell you guys something. Any society that habours religious nepotism in every situation would always bare the consequences of those act.
Back then in the North, kaduna for example, criminal elements used religion as a tool to quench their blood thirst. It worked because people were always giving religious credence to every a act.
Victims of those act were innocent Muslims and Christians like us all. Traditional worshipers were never involved cos they abstained from all form of religious violence.
Today no religious crisis in kaduna not because they stooped but because they moved to the Bush where they kidnapped both Muslims and Christians. I tell all fanatics, if you don't stop now, you or someone innocent would become victim of your action.
Who told you she was a Muslim?

You are an illiterate. Can you bring any historical evidence about Arab slave raids into any city that is currently in Nigeria? Islam spread in the North through Arab and Berber traders, and in the west Muslim traders from Mali. Its you people who didnt know how to read or cover your private parts before 1900 and oyibos had to come from Europe to teach you
You are so dumb not to know your ignoble history. Are you not aware of the Trans-Sahara Slave Trade ran by the wicked Moslem Arabs who enslaved the blacks in the Sudan/Sahel regions and sold them into slavery, and whom they later forcefully converted to their religion? I know you are very myopic and limited in knowledge to know that. What about the infamous Fulani jihad of the early 1800s during which they raided and forcefully converted many indigenous communities in the North to Islam against their wishes, and those who refused conversation were merciless massacred and their villages burnt down? For your information, my town was part of the great ancient Edo Empire which ruled over large parts of present day Southern Nigeria. We were very civilised, well clothed and ran a decently organized society centuries before the Europeans came. We were not like you guys who copied dressing from your dirty Arab slave masters. Ignoramus!
