Google Wave is "a personal communication and collaboration tool" announced by Google at the Google I/O conference on May 27, 2009.It is a web-based service, computing platform, and communications protocol designed to merge e-mail, instant messaging, wikis, and social networking. It has a strong collaborative and real-time[ focus supported by extensions that can provide, for example, spelling/grammar checking, automated translation among 40 languages, and numerous other extensions.Initially released only to developers, a "preview release" of Google Wave was extended to 100,000 users in September 2009, each allowed to invite twenty to thirty additional users. On the 29th of November 2009, Google accepted most requests submitted soon after the extended release of the technical preview in September 2009, these users have around 8 invites to give. What is a wave? A wave is equal parts conversation and document. People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more. A wave is shared. Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when. A wave is live. With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time. I am absolutely in love with it. If u have not tried this pls request for an account at https://services.google.com/fb/forms/wavesignup/ It is still in limited preview stage though. Not everyone who applies will get it. |

thanx all 4 ur posts; I think stepping back is what I will do. Doubts 4 sure I have em cos its all confusing. I have been thinking if my girlfriend told me this I would definitely tell her to step back a give him lots of space. Though its very difficult. But I did rather do that and save myself future heartaches. So I am stepping back just to be sure he is really up for this, |
Chaircover point taken |
posakosa:Priority I think might be d case now. |
Thanks breathless & Posakosa breathless:Before he started working he was doing most of the communication. It went down and I took over. Bt wait breathless is it a good thing that I make up for this particular weakness? |
lol ;I think he proposed for 3 reasons; 1. The relationship ( brother/sister thing) was getting uncomfortable for him & since last year he keeps saying "I love you more than u can understand" and I noticed that he normally wasnt comfortable when we are alone in a place. Sometimes he would even try some unbrotherly moves which I would politely refuse.2. Many guys were flocking around me and I guess he wanted me off the market ![]() 3. His parents have started disturbing him to show him their daughter in-law. |
Chaircover, It would really have been nice to be related. I can imagine moi pulling all those crazy tricks on my MAN. . I think I will start. Anywayz my uncle is dead, So sad. |
We never really dated. We were just really close friends more like brother and sister for 5 years. Then he proposed to me in June. |
@ posakosa He does one of those jobs that keeps u there from 7 to 9, But lunch break dey. Most of the times d sms/calls is after I have complained and shown signs of really being pissed. Once I cool down his gestures cool down too. I have the deep gut feeling that he loves me. When I complain he just sounds helpless as if I asking him to do the most difficult task in the world, Even though I love but u know that actions build or destroy love. |
Thanks a lot chaircover, Will do that. |
Hmmmm! ![]() |
Honestly I dont think its wrong but I am not yet married and I dont know how I would feel in her shoes. I had an uncle that likes playing scrabble with us since his wife refuses to play. One day while we where playing she came there and scattered the board and from that day her husband stopped playing scrabble for peace to reign. I think both of should really sit down and talk it over. Talk to her gently and let her know without making her look bad/foolish that PS@ is for adults and kids. If she still says no maybe u can stop it and find another hobby that both of you can enjoy. But also let her know that a man always needs his "ALONE TIME". especially when he is worried and he can choose to do lots of things at that time just to let himself out. |
I never saw my parents kiss either. Just hugs and my mum never liked the idea of us seeing ppl kiss on tv. It was a sin so we always put off the tv at such scenes. Evn now when I am watching a movie with someone and ppl start kissing and smooching, I change the channel or I dont look. LOL |
I am posting this thread in this section and not romance because I believe I would get a higher percentage of mature contributions from here than the romance section (as per age and experience and, marital status of the ppl commenting) I am engaged to be married. I really love my fiance and I know he is a great person but he has this attitude that keeps bugging me. He rarely ever calls me. He calls like twice a week and avg duration is 2.5 minutes. Sms is avg of 1 in 2 days. I call everyday and it lasts at least 30 -40 minutes. Its a long distance relationship and we see every 3 months cos we are in different countries. Its really difficult for a woman to be the one working alone to make the relationship work cos thats what it seems to me. I might not have been bothered but ppl keep saying that when a man doesn't call it means he is not interested. I have tried talking to him and he keeps saying he will improve that its cos work is stressful and he rarely has time for himself. He keeps insisting he loves me that it will get better when things get better. I hate having to tell him all the time that I want him to improve cos I think it makes me a nag. Someone like me the only thing that makes me feel loved is constant communication and integrity. I dont need gifts or money to feel loved. I keep wondering how busy will a man be that calling his loved one at least everyday no matter how short it is will be difficult? Or should I give him space. Does he really love me or Am I asking for too much? PLease experienced men & women who have been through this please advice me, Is he silently telling me to leave or should I be patient? |

@ chidichris; Pls I am not to be pulled into what ever fight is going on on this thread. You have been speaking the truth so far but your manner of approach is totally wrong. You are just attacking ppl 4 no reason. Is it because some ppl have been insulting you all along? I am not that kind of person. I just want to air my views peacefully. Why would you attack me for saying that Nkenna is not giving a good image of Nigeria? Even though she is being blunt abt our crimes ( which I have nothing against), she has some not too acceptable quirks. That said please try and be a bit more cultured in your approach to ppls postings. I don't have a problem if she says this country is the worst in the whole world. I don't condemn her. The country is bad and we have many criminals. If someone wants to run the country down, thats their business since its big enough to contain us all. Whats my own? I will always do my bit by adding positive value where ever I am. I can't control everyone. Moreover we are all allowed to express ourselves Please and please don't pull me into the circle of personality attacks that is going on this thread. As much as I enjoy the posts and they make me laff, I no dey look for pesin trouble and make pesin no look for my own. |
Only from reading this post alone, I can conclude that the BBA crew has succeeded in what they want. Money for offering Entertainment! Nkenna may not be the model of a Civilized Nigerian Woman in people's opinion but she is providing entertainment the show needs. I laffed so much while reading the posts describing her uncouthness in this thread. Her annoying habits gives people what to talk and argue about and thats exactly what the promoters need. I believe BBA will keep her for a while because she is helping keep the rating high even though she is giving a bad image of our country. |
I have been using chrome for over 1 yr now. Chrome is good as per opening pages fast but not all the time. Download speed is comparable to firefox It opens your computer to cyber attacks. Though I must say its easier than IE and firefox but Opera still rocks!!! |
I will try this and get back to u |
Thanks alot Mohawchic, I guess I will see a dermatologist |
@ poster I am writing as a Nigerian Igbo woman and I understand what she is saying. The igbo society is a pity does not give so much encouragement to couples where the woman is older than the man. Some enlightened folks might see nothing wrong with a man marrying an older woman but some ppl might frown at it. And I blv it because of this that your girl is scared. What I believe she needs is your reassurance and support. Make her understand that you really love her and if possible take the relationship a level higher to show her your commitment. I had the same issues. In my case I was engaged to a guy who loved me and his family also accepted me until they found out that I was 1 year and 9 moths younger than him. Then all hell broke loose cos they felt he should marry a lady 5 years younger. His family fought and struggled until I was too scared to continue the relationship. And to make matters worse my man didn't stand behind me. So I advice that if you both love each other, stand behind her and let her know that you wont leave her and age iis not a factor to you |
I have always had a smooth face and pimples have never been an issue for me. In April I went to Dubai and came back in June. The temp was between 34-42 degrees Celsius while I was there and by the time I came back, I had an out-break of horrible pimples all-over my face. I was using Palmer's Skin success before I went to Dubai. It finished and I switched to Bianca. When the out-break started I stopped using Bianca and I met a pharmacist who told me to Use palmer's eventone soap and a clear max tube. The pimples disappear for 3 days and come back with a vengeance. I have travelled to another hot country and started using Palmer's again but i had to stop as there is no difference. I don't use any cream again on my face. And my face is now spotted and acne ridden What do i do to stop this acne and get rid of the spots? Someone pls help a Sister, NB: My job is very stressful, I don't know if that is a factor |
