Hi all,
Some people who sat for TEF examination recently in some other countries said the CE long texte questions are no more repeated but rather all questions (compréhension passages) were entirely new.
Please can people writing within Nigeria verify this?
Also if this is the case,it will not be easy.

Iv noticed the Algériens and Maroc guys are receiving their results within 8-13 days, but Alliance is saying ours is 40 working days. Even with computer. I think we need to organise and complain to France. How can we be paying 450 dollars while others pay less, then wait forvever for the results?

Woke up this morning and got this disheartening email. Planned to take since last April.

Dear Madam/Sir,

The Management of Alliance Française is doing everything humanly
possible to reschedule the Tef Canada examination slated to hold on the
24th of June and now reschedule to take place on 4th July 2020.Upon
submission of the new date to the CCIP, the organ in charge of the
examination, responded by saying that they are not organizing any of
such examination until September 2020 due to global health crisis.

The Directer of studies who is presently on leave in France had written
them to see the possibility of unlocking the situation. Hopefully if she
gets a favorable response, we will be updated.

Alliance Française remains committed to give you the best within its
available resources but we regret this unfortunate circumstance which
is largely due to the health crisis in the entire world.

Sorry I'm just seeing this.

First of, you have to pay cash at the institute to register. I didn't have to pay for accommodation and all that cos I stayed with a friend.

They had preparatory classes I attended but it's nothing really intensive. But you can always pay extra if you want.

I tire oo. Same thing with mine. With my good IT job and family of 5.
My purpose of visit too had passed as well.
Got my denial after 13 weeks

Decision finally landed this morning, visit visa denied
Submitted application 28th August, Biometrics fine 3rd of September
Apparently, the VO thought I wl leave my job and husband in the UK to become illegal in Canada...good thinking �
Proposed visit date already passed 16th of November and my leave is over.

Not sure, but i know there was an error in the email address used during the application, eg a.b@xyz.com instead of b.a@xyz.com. is there a way i can ask for details?

Again passport is bearing Buhari Ayo while other docs are Kanu, Ayo Buhari

Canada hardly grants virgin passport try UK ,Schengen country and come back for Canada

No travel history, IT- conference. The conference took place two weeks before my application was processed.


I hope i can get a UK visa to boost travel history.

Am 75 days already and counting, paper based, Biometric same day. I have tracked tire, event i planned for is today. I have given up. They should return my passport for me o.

I don't know about online. The day i submitted, i got an email with my tracking number.

I’m sincerely getting tired of waiting, it’s 64 days today and They haven’t started eligibility review on my application. I called the guys in London and the Indian guys that spoke with me insisted I should provide my tracking number which I don’t have. They said I should have gotten one when I submitted my application online. Good people, is it true that they provide tracking number for every application before processing
I’m starting to think something is wrong with my application. I sent a mail to IRCC and I was advised to contact London office
It’s 11 days past the processing days, is this a common occurrence ?

Am still waiting submitted and did Bio-metric 22 Aug, nothing yet. Been tracking, still showing "being processed at the Canada Visa Office". I am weak, conference commenced already.

Please I invited a friend of mine and his family to visit me in Canada for Christmas.

He submitted his application online on the 13th September and did biometrics few days after.
He got Biometric Verification letter today(4th November)
Please what is the success rate after getting BVL?
I mean do they still refuse TRV after sending BVL?

Guys I promised I was gonna update so I just picked up my passport . Apparently my passport arrived with the ups while I was at the vfs office and my visa is till 2022, multiple entry , visitors visa . Thank God and I pray you all waiting will get good news . Amen

How long does paper application for Tourist Visa take these days. Should i be worried as am 60 days today? I keep getting the below message when i track my CALA number

I had to modify my answer. As an asylum seeker, your application for asylum must be approved by Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) or IRCC. If the asylum seeker isn't designated as a protected person, then no, the person cannot apply for PR because I believe they don't yet have a legal right to reside in Canada.

My problem now is that I'm trying to do my ECA with WES but my waec result has a different dob from the rest of my documents. Having gone tru some threads, I noticed that Wes will indicate the discrepancy in the report.
My questions.
Has anyone with this issue successfully gone pass through all the stages.
What other evaluation agencies can I use?
If I use them, will there be any stage that I'm required to submit my waec result?
Can an affiliate work and has anyone successful used it.
Please house I seriously need advice as I don't want to spend the little money I have and nothing to show for it, and seriously, I'm breaking down psychologically.

The TCF results takes 15 days to be released. (Compare that to 4 - 6 weeks of nail biting for TEF)

There are far more resources to prepare with. (Can point you in the right direction wink wink)

The exam is reputed to be easier - many thanks to the CIEP who also administers DELF/DALF.

You can take it while waiting for the "transfer ban" from TEF (2 month gap between consecutive attempts)

I bought the materials and regretted it. 15k down the drain. He wrote more on the format than actual keys to answering questions. I had to do personal study and research to score high in ielts exam.

Please who has used the material from Triumf Suvwe (IELTS Shotgun). Was it helpful. How different is it from the materials online?

With 2 kids and a history of living together, your friend should qualify for common-law which for immigration purposes is the same as marriage. Not that they shouldn't go ahead and marry.

The option you seem to be looking at is "spouse unaccompanying". They need to look long and hard at it because spousal sponsorship after is a long journey.

Have they checked the crs tool well? The spouse doesn't have to max IELTS to contribute good points.

Gurus in the house, please below case of which a friend is asking for advise.


"My fiance and I are yet to get married although we already have two kids. Although we are thinking of quickly doing the court marriage for the sake of this journey and do the remaining later because of finance, however, considering the fact that CRS isn't dropping and PNP is becoming difficult, we have been advised that one should go ahead with the process and file application for the other later. If we get married, the spouse will not be able to contribute much in terms of points because level of education (o-Level). So IELTS will be difficult. The PA is 32, Masters.
