If you claim this same God could appear as a burning bush, then surely, you must know more than me about said God. If you cannit prove that siad God, without brainwashing me to think he is a spirit who works in mysterious way, then i see no reason to even entertain such ridiculous ideas.
Afterall, if you had been born in some remote islands in the pacific, you wouldn't know this particular God. would you?

I was an intern student at one dying federal research center in Nigeria some years ago. This was just some months after Buhari had been declared the winner. I stood in front of one of the storerooms which was supposed to be a research lab. it was not. Omo! I was almost in a trance, with my head searching the sky for answers. After Buhari's win, I felt as if some part of my spirit had died. I looked up into the sky that day thinking --if only I could get out of this country. If only.

My mother thought I'd F-ed up my studies and was hiding something. She even went to the extent of reaching out to some of my colleagues from school to find out what went wrong.
Some three years later, something very strange happened, she somehow opened an opportunity for the whole fam to Japa. Even though everywhere she sought advice, they told her not to go, she insisted. Knowing her and her zeal for religion, her actions were very strange to me.

I knew the universe had presented an opportunity because this same person was hell-bent on making sure we never japa'd to our current location. Why now? I resigned abruptly from work. My siblings abandoned their education, and we all left. it was a tough decision, but It's the best I've ever made.

Anytime I speak to my ex-students, its always the hardship. Their parents are struggling, food is up, transport is up, and to make it even worse, education is up too. Someone told me his dad had to take a loan to sort out their school fee. These are really intelligent kids with the faculty of thinking that Nigeria currently needs. But, this country will eat them up if care is not taken. It is eaten them up..

Desca, I saw this video a few hours ago on my own then I wondered where I first came across it because the trans activist' face looked familiar and it was from one of your posts.

This woman was exasperating! She wouldn't or couldn't answer a straightforward question, requiring a yes or no answer. Her deflection, hemming and hawing, reminded me of how an earthworm twists and turns in agony, when salt is poured on it and I don't even mean that as an insult, that was the image she brought to mind.

There was no common sense or logic in how she was responding to the question, which is typical with most of the trans activists/supporters I've seen in these videos. When I say they are losing their senses in this movement and acting in illogical ways this is one example of what I mean, asides firing a school teacher for her harmless faith posts on her social media page.

and that is all people have been complaining about.. The logic is flawed. I don't know where they get their science from honestly, yo even think there's such a thing as gender studies 😂😂.. How are they going to quantify their findings... 😂 ridiculous!

I think it is OK to expose them to religious text but before you do teach them, how to think and evaluate things. This will help in life in general and help them sort out bullshìt claims from the truth.

he doesn't need to expose them. They will be forced to attend fellowship in school.

If he says they are atheist, he'd be asked to find another school for his children. The children will be approached by JW, pastors, teachers, and friends about religion. He doesn't need to do one bit.. It's going to come. hahah.. I don't think it's right for you to say there's no God if there is no evidence for or against it. It makes sense to just say "I don't know" if we should consider every concept of God.

The lack of evidence, in this case, is the evidence of absence. Unless you can prove otherwise. Moreso, I expect that you wouldn't be partial in your judgment and make the ridiculous claim that God exists but he is as described in the bible only.

If 5 other people claim that there is a cup on the table but cannot show the cup, then something is wrong with them upstairs. That's why they need to brainwash you to believe that there is a cup, and if you choose not to believe then you're going to hell. Kobo will say "second death," but a threat is a threat. A little about my background. I was raised as a religious Christian and made to read the Bible from start to end continuously on a yearly basis. This deep studying exposed me to seeing the many inconsistencies in the Bible and question my beliefs.

I also spent some time studying some other religious texts from Islam(English versions of Quran and haddiths), Buddhism and some Hinduism, before accepting Atheism as what works for me.

My utmost desire is to raise my children as straight up Atheists, no need wasting thing on fake concepts like religions, but at same time with good morals(logical, truthful, kind, trustworthy, and a couple of good societal values).

But I've been wondering whether it's ideal to expose them to religious texts, so they can easily see the fallacies of religions or to completely ignore religious texts and focus on scientific reasoning and logic?

Anyone in same boat?

The data part is just the technical aspect and most Twitter users are not concerned about all that, they just want to be able to login at anytime, check as many tweets as possible and while away time... when you take that from them , you're indirectly sending them off to any available competitor. Threads may not eventually be as successful as twitter but just look at those numbers. The more numbers threads gets , the more they'll try to make the app better and icludd more features and that's what social media thrives on - numbers and engagement.
