Lesgupnigeria:
Short Story on Self Confidence*

There was a business executive who was deep in debt and could see no way out.
Creditors were closing in on him. Suppliers were demanding payment. He sat on the park bench, head in hands, wondering if anything could save his company from bankruptcy.
Suddenly an old man appeared before him. “I can see that something is troubling you,” he said.

After listening to the executive’s woes, the old man said, “I believe I can help you.”
He asked the man his name, wrote out a check, and pushed it into his hand saying, “Take this money. Meet me here exactly one year from today, and you can pay me back at that time.”
Then he turned and disappeared as quickly as he had come.
The business executive saw in his hand a check for $500,000, signed by John D. Rockefeller, then one of the richest men in the world!
“I can erase my money worries in an instant!” he realized. But instead, the executive decided to put the uncashed check in his safe. Just knowing it was there might give him the strength to work out a way to save his business, he thought.
With renewed optimism, he negotiated better deals and extended terms of payment. He closed several big sales. Within a few months, he was out of debt and making money once again.
Exactly one year later, he returned to the park with the uncashed check. At the agreed-upon time, the old man appeared. But just as the executive was about to hand back the check and share his success story, a nurse came running up and grabbed the old man.
“I’m so glad I caught him!” she cried. “I hope he hasn’t been bothering you. He’s always escaping from the rest home and telling people he’s John D. Rockefeller.”
And she led the old man away by the arm.
The astonished executive just stood there, stunned. All year long he’d been wheeling and dealing, buying and selling, convinced he had half a million dollars behind him.

Suddenly, he realized that it wasn’t the money, real or imagined, that had turned his life around. It was his newfound self-confidence that gave him the power to achieve anything he went after.

Let's face our fears this week with a new ray of hope and self confidence. We can only become better if we try. We can't achieve nothing by folding arms in depression. Our best is yet to come.

My God! I love this
I be in touch with you for guidelines in the nearest future.

Now my point is that which other building materials is lucrative

My guy, buy and sell cement. So far you can buy up to one trailer. Look for a place where construction work is going on steady. With your paint business. Cement wi give you daily turn out. If you have a good place, you can include block moulding. Cement sales per trailer will cost around 1.5m thats minus where you intend to store it ooo. Block business between 600k to 1m

My brother don't ever Bleep that woman again in your life or after life. Love your kids and let the kids know you love them.

Secure a future business for yourself while you are still on this 500k job just incase.

Don't live an expense life, save more and invest more. Don't because of your new salary move your kids to much more expensive schools.

Finally pray more, may you never again in your life fall from grace to grass in jesus name. AMEN!

It's risky telling her at that point cos ur life is in their hands. U can be injected to death u know cos they may feel u would later put them in trouble
Also u would be happy she it was also who revived u.

But you should have told them afterwards. When you've eventually survived.

Mine was when I did fibroid surgery in July 2018. While in the theatre the Anaesthesian administered an I. I heard her telling the surgeon she was giving me 2.5 as against the Normal 1.5 dosage. She told the surgeon it was the first time ever er she's using it on a patient Immediately she administered it on me, I discovered I couldn't breath down.Had to quickly tell her I couldn't breathe down. I could have died within seconds but she immediately administered another which normalised my breathing. If she had not given me immediately I would have died n the doc would have said "sorry we lost her" without knowing they caused my death. Pls,help me in thanking God for giving me a second chance. Lord I thank you.

Did you tell her you heard those words?

I was a kid then, let me say 6 to 7 years . but I can vividly remember the scenario. Were we stay we were close to one of our neighbor there dad was a police officer, on that day I went to there house to play but no one was in the parlor so I sat on a chair, while sitting I notice there was an object under the cushion, to my joy it was a gun I was so happy I picked it and hide it under my shirt went back home, on getting home I brought it out.. How many of you remember this TV show "sledge hammer" back in those days... If you remember you can imagine what I do next.. After swinging the gun with my finger I shoot at a imaginary windscreen... Guys I fainted from the sound.. Woke up to find crowd around me looking at there face I know I was in trouble, received the beating of my life that day.... Just thank God I didn't mistakenly shoot myself or killed someone else....

The 2nd, went to nassarrawa and came back to abuja, next found myself in keffi. Whatever took me there, i dont know. When i asked and i was told i was in keffi. I shouted wow. Turned and started heading back to abuja. Slept and drove into a farmland and hit a pole. Woke up and found myself in a village doctor's house. The man said "i know u". Hapened to be d same village doctor. This time, it was in front of his house that i rammed the pole. Wow.
I paid the doctor back by befriending his daughter. One busty girl in her earlier 20s and dealt with her as her dad dealt with me with injection.

I had already fainted and when I opened my eyes, we were outside our compound with people gathered around giving different suggestions to my mum on which hospital is best . My mum rushed my there and I was admitted for another 3 weeks and there was no improvement plus they were kinda fetish. I was rushed out to another hospital at Egbeda one night when I started convulsing. At Egbeda , I spent 2 days there again before convulsing again and I was rushed to Agege General hospital . The day I got there, I was admitted and they connected the drip, blood and oxygen before I went into Coma.
In Coma, I only remembered sitting on a stone and crying for a long time then a man came in white and sat close to me and asked me my reason for crying. I told him I was tired of all the drips Nd injections that I can’t take it anymore and If i was going to continue being sick then I should die. He said “Ok” and walked away . Almost immediately I felt a cold shiver in real life as my spirit jumped into my body and I let out a very loud scream, I started shouting for them to off the fan and they replied that no fan was on.Doctors and nurses ran down to my bed side and I could hear people jubilating in the whole ward . I couldn’t open my eyes and the doctors that were there had to guard me on how to open my eyes.

When my eyes was finally opened, I was told I had been in Coma for close to 3weeks Nd I had stopped breathing for awhile and just as I was about being wheeled out to the morgue I came alive. It was a miracle, I am a miracle and I believe in miracles.
Thank God for everyone that interceded in prayers for me.

Damn! This is crazy!

I have three experiences in all

The first experience, when i was like probably 7yrs old. In my primary school at the village. There was a very big field where the grown up students(esp. Sec. School students) always played football. Most times they played "health" or "tanko" if you know the terms. Now, very close to the field under the surrounding trees we smaller children always played our own ball too, "felele" i hope you know that one too. And

It happened that on one fateful afternoon during the break period, we were on the field, the older students were playing on the field while we were doing our on small football besides. So, one of us struck the ball in an attempt to score a goal and it went into the larger field across the goal post, so i ran to go and fetch it. As i got the ball and was returning to walk across the goalpost of the larger field where the older boys played again, one older student (his name is Dominic an Agatu boy) was about to score in the heat of the game. He fired a shot, gboa! With tanko ooo. And the ball came right for me, very hot one with force, it hit me on my tummy, and i fell down face- flat on the floor. I struggled to get up again but i couldn't. That was how i passed out.

I was hearing voices in the distance, how everybody were rushing towards me, at a point i knew when i was lifted off the ground but couldn't remember anything again after that point. When i opened my eyes again, i saw that i had been taken to a shade under a tree by the opposite side of the field and water was all over me, my clothes were wet. They were all happy to see me awake. Then, they begged me not to tell my mum cheesy because my mum usually will fight anybody to defend and protect us. I didn't tell anybody except one man that was chyking my youngest aunty (my grandma's last daughter) in the village who always took me out for "faaji"
ENJOY THAT ONE FIRST, AM CUMMING grin WITH THE SECOND EXPERIENCE.

Romance / Re: Tips For Dating A Nigerian Woman In America by klbakare(m): 1:27pm On May 08, 2020
pansophist:
Generally speaking, women are socially inclined. They evolved to effectively adapt to their surrounding to advance their status. By design, women assimilate towards social consensus (lifestyle), while men lean towards creating that consensus.

Women do better than men in language learning, cultural understanding, are community-oriented, bond easily and strongly, less competitive, more agreeable, and have a lesser tendency for violence. All these are a perfect recipe that makes women easily integrate into any society than men.

Lots of diasporan Nigerian men who went back home to pick a wife back to western countries learned this lesson when the women changed and are exactly like the western women they are running away from. Like the old saying, men marry women hoping they do not change (but they change), meanwhile, women marry men hoping they can change him (but he doesn't change).

The female basically waits at the finish line to roll with the winners and will integrate seamlessly into the lifestyle, and live happily, ever after. Easily. There is no such thing as a tip to dating Nigerian women abroad, since her behaviors is predictable, based on the context of the society where she domicile.

This is a great piece. Am wowed.

Nigerian women are generally wicked, were is the love? are we saying 5 people cant share 3 rooms and a parlour peacefully without quarrel ? My first time outside the country I spent almost a month in a tiny apartment with 2 rooms and a parlour, the husband and wife shares one room, their daughter and the man's neice shared another, while I slept in the seating room with the husbands younger brother.. we all enjoyed our time together and contributed to pay bills, buy groceries.. we hide from neighbors to avoid being reported for being overcrowded and early in the morning everyone is out of the door , saying our goodbyes at the subway station

Its absolute lack of love that make Nigerian women hate house helps and husbands family, they would even treat their kitchen like its a sacred temple meant for only them.. whats the big deal if anyone cooks while the wife is away, and once she's back she microwaves it and eat? the other occupants in the house can make themselves useful by cleaning the house and making everywhere tidy, and in the evening after meal they can all share stories or watch a movie together

.

Your talk is nonsense. Totally devoid of sense and reasoning.

Did you read where they had only one mattress?
Did you read where the wife was not pre-informed?
Did you read where the wife was sleeping on the floor in the parlour?
Did you read where they were overstaying?
Did you read where a stupid brother brought girlfriend to his married sibling's house and was probably knacking her on their matrimonial bed?
If anybody deserves to sleep on the bed, its the wife and the mother of the husband.

All these witchcraft mothers should desist from ruining their children's marriage. No wonder the boy contributes money with his wife to pay rent. Am sure he didn't tell his family that his wife pays rent with him.

I advice the lady to seek the mind of God concerning the relationship. If she is properly married, divorce is not possible according to christianity. If she is not properly married, she should run as far as her leg can take her from her unfortunate husband.

***hope she is also not a wicked, intolerant and unfortunate wife too because them dey like that vice-versa ?

If she properly married, She should pray to God to restore her marriage while she goes back to her father's/friends/ relative house to put up in the mean time.

At anytime the husband comes for reunion, they should go to the police station to sign an undertaking that he will never abuse his wife again and any harm that comes to her subsequently is from her husband.

She should become a prayer warrior if she will ever continue with that family. Satanic people! embarassed
