tonytony208: Pls i need help!At least you have a laptop..anyway, I guess your optical drive or the Win xp cd is bad, hence the reason it is being bypassed by the BIOS. Try to access your BIOS and see if your BIOS detects your optical drive, if it does, change your first Boot priority to your optical drive and save. The restarting may be as a result of corrupt OS. tunnex190: Well done house. Please help me with my HP Compaq 6735s. It just is acting up recently. It keeps showing 'blank screen' after it had loaded windows. (sometimes it may not even load the windows before it shows blank screen)I have both OS windows 7 and 8 installed on a separate partitioned disk. Cap lock key light although, blinks intermittently. And I just had the enginner changed the processor of the laptop when i noticed it but it is still the same.The engineer changed the processor because of this?! this is not a processor related problem, since the Cap lock light blinks when you press it, you can safely eliminate the processor and memory. let they engineer focus his attention on your hardisk and maybe your laptop screen. Have u connected your laptop to an external monitor. Let the engineer check these things, u can also remove your Hdd if u can, then start your system, to check if it goes blank during the POST stage, if it doesn't, then it is ur Hdd. |

Open ur network places, select and right click on your network adapter, select properties, Uninstall the client service for Netware, after your system reboots, go to user accounts via the control panel, from the pick a task pane, click on change the way users log on or off, check the two boxes and restart ur system. |

smartbingari: hello pc geeks I need someone to help me if the is anyway to restore My pc running window 7 pro without deleting my files. not restoring it from last restore point.When you do a factory reset, your files and programs will be affected(deleted). That is why the system advices you to backup prior to a factory reset. If the system is booting to windows, I will advice you use a flash drive to backup our files before you do a reset. But in the situation that your system does not boot, u need to take it to a tech that will host your hardisk to another system and backup your files, before doing a reset. |

Ladies while exploring medical and spiritual interventions, y'all still need to have a hart-2-hart talk with your husband, get him to open up to you, if he has anything to hide about his escapades before you guys got married. I know of a man who at his younger age, messed with the wrong lady, got her pregnant, persuaded her to go for an abortion, that the family will not bless the union If they found out she was pregnant. Pregnancy was gotten rid of, the man reneged on his promsise, the lady assured him for his act, he would never hear the cry of a new born baby in his house. Fast forward to so many years after the man got married to another lady...no child. To make matters worse, the man confined to a very elderly friend of mine, and they both agreed to trace the lady in question and ask for 4givness. They were able trace her mother's house, who broke the news of the lady's demise to them. They man ended up adopting children. Heartie01: If she had tested positive den doesn't mean U̶̲̥̅̊ too will be positive, cos am living witness to that, I and my ex had been dating for over 2yrs before I went for test but he use to do his own test like every 6months due to the nature of his job and its always comes back negative, but @ d orientation camp last year I decided to know my own status and lo and behold it came back +ve he didn't believe it cos he too just got tested a week before dat time nd he was -ve, after the camp we both went to 3 different hospital mine was also +ve and his -ve..He has done d test again after 3 nd 6months they both came out negative....Hi read your post on your other tread, you are indeed handling your status well. My question is this, not trying to be invasive though, u said the nature of your ex's job, pre exposes him to probable infection, hence the need for a regular 6 months Tests, now is it possible that the virus is dormant in his body, unable to be detected, but still has the propensity of infecting another person....hope u r doing OK. |

SIMPLIFIED: pls guys i have tried this severally. It keeps showing not recognized as internal or external command.. Is there space b4 the - nd is it a fullstop or comma after d *?big-t's command line is o.k, but you should put a space for each handle, e.g from your command prompt type, attrib -h -r -s /s /d ?:*.* Where ? will be ur flash drive letter. There should be no space between the colon[:] and the wildcard *.* |

I hope you have been able to resolve the boot preference from ur BIOS. Now back to the mata..ultra ISO is an easy 2 use app, when the app gave you the drive letter as E: what device did it point to in ur computer?. If it didn't point to any device, restart ur system and run ultra ISO again, ultra ISO gives option to select Disk Drives, I hope u clicked on the button to check if drive H: is there and accessible. ......and you dont have someone to give you an external optical drive? well still try ultra ISO again and let us know how it goes again. Donsammi: broda dnt use that modem as cardreader! bcuz the bios will jux recoqnise the modem mainboard and nt de mcard .. ... this link miqht help yhu ...http://mobile.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/windows/3352054/how-install-windows-7-with-usb-flash-drive/Modem with a memory card inside it, Is a flash memory like the common memory stick, with that, the BIOS should be able to detect the memory card inside it. |

[/quote]Ma guy no body is measuring deek with you here. i would have ignored ur post, but we all here to learn  . Ur suggestion/procedure is quite dumb, if the guy copies and paste the windows installation files to his flash memory, please how does he now make the medium bootable for the BIOS to recognise the flash as a bootable device. U think the BIOS will just pick the the executable file without an instruction to the effect. Ur suggestion is akin to advising somebody to clone his hardisk by coping and pasting all the contents of his hard drive to another, expecting the new hardisk to boot to windows once plugged to the system. If you had even advised him to use the I386 WINNT command from ur procedure, I wouldn't have been bothered. We had the same issue of safe mode with you here, and you assume you know it all. 1 Like |

Debeloved87: ok after installing it to a working system..what next.If u have installed the app on a system, insert the Windows installation disk which u want to install e.g XP into the cd Rom drive of the system you installed ultra ISO. Plug in ur modem with the memory card into the system with ultra ISO, and note the drive letter the system gave it e.g H: start ultra ISO, click on bootable, select write disk image, u will see the drive letter of you memory card highlighted, then click on write. Do be aware that it will format the card in the process. For windows Vista and 7 run U ISO as administrator. After the write process, remove the modem, change ur first boot to usb disk drive from the BIOS, and u can now start ur windows installation via usb. |

Install Ultra ISO to working system, u do not need to copy manually the Windows installation files to ur memory card. Ultra ISO will do it for u, in the process, it will make it bootable, so u need a working system for that. |

I dnt av a cdrom, but Can i use my modem with a memory card slot as a flash drive to boot up my system...if possible how. I saw the possibility after pressing tab and f12, it recognise the modem usb zte scsi cdrom 2.31 and the generic multi card usb slot as devices to boot from apart from the Hdd which seems corrupt and network boot agent...your response needed pls.Sure you can. Ultra ISO can help you create a bootable flash drive. But instead of going through all the wahala, can't you borrow an optical drive, and still the issue with ur Hdd which u say is corrupt. |

phiszo: I want to increase the dedicated graphics memory from 32mb to 128/256mb so as to play video games smoothly.Pls your dedicated graphic memory has nothing to do with game play. Think about it, even if you increase it to 256(Mb) , which new generation game will you play with that amount of memory. My advice don't think about tinkering with your BIOS, focus on your Intel HD GPU by updating it to the latest driver, and install some apps that helps game work smoothly. Btw with ur specs, it can handle some heavy graphic games like Crysis 2, but may find it difficult with 3 because Intel inbuilt graphic cards don't handle games like Nvidia and AMD GPUs do. |

Sorry am nt a tech guruIf your flash drive letter is e.g H: From ur the directory C:\document..blah blah type cd H: and enter, it will take you to ur flash root directory. |

Some operating system will require you to install a lower version of net frame before installing a higher version. Or your installer is just corrupt u might as well try another copy. |

iffydave: Good morning ppl,Still start ur system through safe and check if it still hangs, if it allows you to work in safe mode, try and do a system restore, use one of the dates the system created during the updates. |

Below is the error msg am getting.What exactly is your system not seeing. The sudden power cut to your system must have corrupted your OS hence the BSOD. My advice here will be to run a CHKDSK /R command, but at your level, you will need to have a working optical drive to aid you, if this is what your system is not seeing. More update from you on the problem will help in solving ur problem. |

Factors like Memory size, is ur hardisk space almost used up. Ur AntiVirus, ur system being infected by virus, corrupt OS, software compatibility, registry problems e.t.c. but first use the msconfig command to disable some, or most start up programs that loads during start up, this MIGHT take care of the slow boot. Run ccleaner on ur system, its a tiny registry program used to scan and clean ur registry. What version of AVG do u have some of these new AntiViruses slows down low end systems. Uninstall unwanted programs, update ur A.V and scan. |

What you will need to do is to manually set the hardisk partition that contains the recovery information of ur laptop, ACTIVE, by so doing, when you boot ur system, the BIOS will look for bootable files first from the recovery partition and will automatically start the reset process. I normally achieve this by using DOS commands via DOS bootable disk like Win98 cd (its faster and works 4 me) |

Illuminatus: Hi Knight. I've tried. I inserted the disk, shut down and started up the computer again. The cd compactment vibrated a lot and it showed the normal compaq logo for long time the computer started normally. Asking me to type in the BIOS password, then windows password and showing the desktop. I also tried loading the disk through an external CD Drive but still the same thing. What now?I hope u changed your first boot priority to your optical drive. I don't see how ur BIOS will ask you for a password during Windows installation, unless u want 2 access the BIOS to make some changes prior to installation. from what you say, the system fails 2 boot from the optical drive. check ur boot priority and try another copy of Windows 7 disk. |

Illuminatus: I tried deleting and creating another partition, but my disk manager won't start. I've shut it down and tried again. But still when I try to open the disk manager nothing happens.Did u attach the hardisk to another system? If no then there is no need of using windows disk manager. I asked u which windows installation disk u r using. U'll just have to boot from your optical drive. During windows pre installation i.e when u r installing the windows, you will be given an option to delete the Hdd partition. |
