Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi is founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church (DLBC) in Gbagada, Lagos, the capital of Nigeria. In the mid-1980s, the church ranked as "the third largest single congregation" in the world.[1][2] He was born in 1941 in the then Western Region of Nigeria, and became a 'Born again Christian' in 1964. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Kumuyi Baba is only 69 and married, we now know, to a 65year old never married woman. i wish them all the bliss marriage can bring! |
As at press time, a combined team of Army, Navy, Police, SSS, National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC), and Customs Service were still inspecting the containers. i wonder what NAFDAC is doing up there? were they looking for NAFDAC number, batch number and expiry date? funny lots! |
if truly he did this, then thumbs up to him! knowing who the man is and what he represents, he would have done this, methinks, as a message and as an important doctrine to his church members that there is marriage life after death. what better way to lead than by example? tell me. truth, you all dont know how many men/women are held in lifetime bondage to self seeking and self promoting doctrines that marriage is for eternity and that the death of one meant the cessation of marriage life! perhaps, Pastor is trying to open the worldviews of those held by this shallow thinking that God permits marriage after the demise of a pair of the marital unit. |
this must be a very curious mass of metal. it is no longer a vehicle. why will you buy a car that took eternity to reach your doorpost and refuse to make use of it? and the seller tells all your friends that they can go to hell, for all he cares! the car was not meant to be ridden in the first place. like we all know, where truth is dodgy, there is ample room for insinuations. now, i am convinced that Agari is who people say he is. but, the questions remains, who is Agari? |
the sentiments behind the movie weigh in tons of Gold. i bet you will not get to see an awe inspiring moment like the Church Scene where you had Sly, Willie and wait for it, the Gov himself, Arnold! awesome! can you picture a scene like that in Nollywood? nope! they all act together for 100k/role. but really, why did Van Damme turn down a role in that cast? why? |
^^^ we call it EGBO in my place, i just remembered. |
there is yet another. it is made of maize, de-husked, cooked into pudding. it assumes a whitish colour and can be eaten with Beans and deep fried stew. lovely stuff. i saw it today at Yaba. i will try and recall the name. |
it might be a military aircraft fitted with Vertical Take off and Landing full options, as they say in Auto Section, in which case it would n`t need a runway to operate. |
when will someone give AKALA this beautiful treatment? when, please? |
for your price, who no go want VENZA? dont tell me you were going to stick up VENZA logo on the vehicle up there ? |
i was already drooping thinking manna was falling from heaven again. Venza at 1.6 will be deal of the year! |
the downfall of a man, is not the end of his life. dont mind them, you will bounce back to Hades. |
ILASA this soup is made with Okra leaves and not the Okra seed itself. it a delicacy made for mothers that have just given birth. and it usually comes prepared with Egusi. let us document as much of these things as possible. search engines will pick them up for those coming behind. |
i have heard that as the name lately. and it seems where you come from determine the name you call it. i have just been reminded that the name is IRO. |
ishapa (yummmmmmmm) soup. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. sweet savoury flavour! with egusi soup, bombastic!. thanks. gotta enter Shaki soon. wow. love that. ad pounded yam to that and see what a combo. |
really yorubas don't have that much delicacies. The maize food is called masa' wrong, wrong, wrong and again wrong! it is not MASA. we have MOSA in yorubaland but it is fried and does not look like moinmoin. and to say yoruba do no have delicacies is to say the earth is flat! wetin you know sef. |
beat you all to this privy information. Yar`dua sneaked into the country last night and handed over to Jonathan. tue or not? |
I was just wondering if some of you know these uncommon yoruba foods. some are seasonal, some are for those of us that grew in the village and some are for those who know. ojojo- fried water yam cakes. beautiful stuff. monimoni- caterpillar larva that is smoked and fired in stew. wonderful ,,,,,,, i have forgetten the name of this one. but is moinmoin made out maize instead of beans. lovely stuff men. keep them coming if you know them please. |
dont mind them haters Prof. Ibori. they are envious of the many blessings you have been blessed with. e easy? for wia! you have beaten all known entrapment that tried to stop you in your climb to power. your quest for fame and riches was dogged by law enforcement officers and you beat all of them, especially those poky nosy British policemen. do they know the joy of wearing an original IWC wristwatch? have they even seen a Maybach, much less drive one? wetin dem sabi. but you, alleluia, have seen and done it all. the number of people that died in hospitals on account of lack of drugs is immaterial. the poor souls that perish on the road is not your fault. who say make dem no buy car with all round airbag? Africans sef. haters. please, treat their groans and hues as irrelevant never do wells who are jealous of your large pocket. but, if they too want large pockets, let Sura the Tailor make some for them jare. please, spare your sef the agony of explaining anything. they will not believe your innocence. so, when should i come for the papers of the house you promised in Havana? you know your lifetime is short, the earlier we conclude this the better, before you pkemme. |
thumbs up! |
i doubt if there are 5 countries in world that can match Nigeria, resource for resource, blessing for blessing, riches for riches! lawlessness has blinded us from our true wealth and there is nothing to reverse that yet. so, we remain poor amidst so much wealth. is it arable farmland? Niger state alone will feed West Africa with rice. Benue will supply all the yam need of the world conveniently until such a time the world comes up with industrial needs for yam. palm oil port is enough to make us self reliant. Ground nut is just an icing on the cake. this year alone, my biz enterprise has exported more than 1000 containers of solid mineral to various destinations around the world. So, what is our problem? leadership failure? no. it is more than that. debauched value system? maybe, yes. but largely, we remain poor because, we chose to remain poor! America does not have what we have! but, we do not have what they have. not even 20% of it. shame! |
the insurance premium payable on this car will buy a Golf3 conveniently, with change to spare. Poverty, i ban you in Jesus name. |
In what capacity will they be visiting? as votes seeking politicians or as ex-rulers? or better still, as suspects in the bombing saga? |
Amala (food) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search Àmàlà is a thick brown paste or porridge made from yam skin, which had been peeled, cleaned, dried and then blended into a flour.[1] It is eaten in West Africa, primarily among the Yorùbá of Nigeria. Àmàlà is made by slicing yam which is a very popular vegetable in Nigeria, drying and grinding it into yam flour which is then sieved and processed into amala by mixing the powder into boiling water and stirring it to a desired texture. It could be served with a variety of ọbẹ (soup), such as ẹfọ, ilá, ewédú, or gbegiri (black-eyed beans soup). [edit] Types There are generally two types of àmàlà. One is àmàlà iṣu, which is derived from sliced, dried, ground and processed yams tubers into yam powder. When this processed yam powder is added to hot water, it gradually turns into a black/brown dough. This can be eaten with a variety of soups (ọbẹ) and vegetables (ẹfọ). There is another type of àmàlà derived from cassava tubers and referred to as àmàlà láfún. This is commonly eaten among the Yorùbá. The cassava tubers are peeled, dried, ground and sieved to remove any shafts or lumps. This type of àmàlà will usually become a white dough when added to water. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amala_%28food%29 |
who do these posters take Nlers to be? buffoons? there are just too many holes in this PR package. |
Overwhelmed with emotions, Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, yesterday rained curses on the perpetrators of the October 1 bombings which claimed 12 lives, saying those behind it “will never find peace”. He spoke after listening to Donatus Aruah, an indigene of Obukpa in Enugu State whose two children, a nephew and driver were killed in the blasts. Narrating the tragedy, Aruah identified his deceased wards as John Chidera Aruah (12-year-old son), Paul Onyekachi Aruah (7-year-old son), Ozioko Ambrose Onyema (nephew) and Alfred Onah (his driver). The four left their house at the Berger yard on the way to Papeh district of Abuja around 11am for the Eagle Square, venue of the independence anniversary fanfare. According to him, because of the security arrangements around the Three Arms Zone, his children had to park far away from Eagle Square and walk to the venue. “Indeed, the driver had parked and the children were holding one another in a string and walking happily towards the place when suddenly a fire erupted around and everybody was consumed. They did not know where the fire came from. And that was how I lost my children. I have five children, my two sons are gone and I’m left with my three daughters. I brought up my nephew this year to come and stay with me here in Abuja and see now, I am going to return to my sister a corpse (sobbing). “When I was told of the incident, I ran to National Hospital where I was told many of the victims were taken. We searched everywhere but we did not see any of them. When we got to the mortuary, I looked at the bodies and I did not see them from the heap until I went round the whole place and I could only recognize my seven-year-old son through the religious medal he was wearing. My 12-year-old son… I was able to recognise him through the remains of his Chelsea football club T-shirt he was wearing. I have come to Abuja and I’m going back empty handed,” he said. Ekweremadu led Enugu Federal Legislators' Forum on a condolence visit to the Abuja home of Aruah who is on the staff of Julius Berger Construction company. According to the Deputy Senate President, “even if the perpetrators are not found by men, they will certainly be discovered by God and punished. Enugu has had more than its fair share of this disaster. Five out of the lot. This is two much.” He called on the government and the security institutions to rise up to the occasion by tracking down the brains behind it and prosecute them. Condoling the father of the children, Ekweremadu urged him to “take heart and rely on God who knows all things,” saying “these children did not die in vain. It was a glorious period for our nation but the enemies of our nation have done their worst”. Surrounded by his relatives and members of Obukpa Youth Association in Abuja, Aruah thanked the legislators for the visit. Among those on Ekweremadu’s team were Senate Committee Chairman on Information and Media, Senator Ayogu Eze, and House of Representatives Committee Chairman on Marine Transport, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. http://www.thisdayonline.com/ |
