I thoroughly enjoyed your prose. How sweet it was to read such a nice piece that left a bitter taste in the mouth.
Nonetheless, car clearing is shady, very shady. Do not patronise touts in the clearing your car. Never look for the cheapest bargain. that comes with hidden land mines. I am a clearing agent myself but i never do cars. I do not collect them, except for very few family members. there are too many hidden and porous aspects to the system. While the agent profits from them and the importer enjoys a discounted clearing charge, the day YAWA bursts, you will hate yourself.

You have just been a victim of MACHINE OUTSIDE.

It only now that you have paid correct duty on your car. take heart and move on. Nothing spoil.

There are sequels to the book, but of all them all, the one that really touches my heart is Trial of Dedan Kimathi by Ngugi Wa thiongo. It is a touching drama about the inner workings of the freedom fighters and their world.
interesting reading, they all make.

what a sorry story!
incomplete research, i am disappointed.

the man invented GOD. where did you leave that? He was paid by some European merchants to prove the existence of God and he did an exponentially pedagogical extrusion of God`s essence. check kano museum, it is documented there and you mortal minds will not acknowledge that? perfidy!

why did you think the BP oil spill stopt abruptly? was it because Obama was pissed at the whole unending saga? Filip did it. he was working on an experiment that almost went awry but thank to incredulous insight, he saw the end from the beginning. he stopped the spillage from his Memphis laboratory using Dr Beans cachexic pandowdy simulated by a chigetai under observation by efflusive continua.

Politics / Fayose Calls Obj The Father Of All Bastards To His Face! by knotty(m): 12:25am On Dec 06, 2010
Former president Olusegun Obasanjo and self-styled "father of modern Nigeria" received a rude shock today in Okuku, Osun state when the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose confronted him and called him "father of bastards". It would be the second time since leaving office under controversial circumstances in 2007 that the former head of state would be publicly ridiculed.

Last month, an irate Nigerian rained blows on him after he managed to sneak into his car in traffic shortly after Obasanjo arrived from a foreign trip.

Fayose met Obasanjo at the inner recesses of deposed governor of the state, Olagunsoye Oyinlola's mansion in Okuku after a "thanksgiving service" in done in his honor by friends and family.

The former president was sitting with former military dictator, Ibrahim Babanginda, Governor of Oyo state, Alao Akala and Gbenga Daniel of Ogun state when Fayose breezed into the reception area. Fayose walked in and greeted everyone but skipped Obasanjo, according to eyewitness accounts but when Fayose was about to sit down Obasanjo called out his name and asked why he ignored him, asking if it was an error on his part, but an enraged Fayose turned to Obasanjo and said he cannot greet someone who is very bad!

"You created all these troubles in the sSouthwest and also for your information, I did not come here as a member of your party, I am no longer a PDP member," Fayose shouted.
Speaking further and inching towards Obasanjo, Fayose told him that he didn't deserve his greeting and warned Obasanjo never to talk to him again.

Obasanjo flew in rage and called Fayose a "bastard", this further infuriated Fayose, who moved menacingly towards Obasanjo, waved his finger in his face and called him the "father of bastards".

As soon the situation became chaotic, Fayose stormed of the reception area and was heard cursing Obasanjo and he walked away in anger.

The celebrant, Oyinlola, ran after him and wept complaining that Fayose came to disrupt his joyous occasion.

Politics / Vc Resigns Over Ogun Controversial Bond by knotty(m): 6:11pm On Dec 05, 2010
The Vice-Chancellor of the Crescent University Abeokuta, Prof. Sherifdeen Tella, has resigned his appointment as the institution‘s helmsman, allegedly on the account of the Ogun State controversial bond saga.

Tella, who confirmed this on Saturday, said the resignation takes effect from Monday.

He said, ”You will recall that I sent a letter to Ogun State House of Assembly on May 24, 2010 to the effect that the House should not approve the request for N50bn loan for government to offset existing loan unless for development.

“I have since been facing threats and intimidation from government officials. My employer, Prince Bola Ajibola, made public apology on behalf of himself and his university. I refused to do the same, hence, the pressure that he should sack me; but I now opt to resign.”

He stated that he was given a choice between public apology and renouncing his position on the bond issue or keeping his job in the university and at the State University, Ago Iwoye.

He said, “The choice was between public apology and renouncing my opinion on the bond issue to keep my job in Crescent University and OOU; or maintain my stand and lose the two.

”I opted to resign from Crescent University and return to OOU where Governor Gbenga Daniel is the Visitor and get ready for battle of survival.”

Efforts to get the reaction of the founder of the university, Prince Ajibola on the VC‘s resignation failed, as he did not respond to the many calls and text message sent to his phone by our correspondent.

The state, it will be recalled, wanted to obtain a N50bn bond, an action that attracted strong criticisms from citizens of the state, including the vice-chancellor.

Education / Re: What Is The English Word For This? by knotty(m): 2:55pm On Nov 30, 2010
stupor:

The word Chook pronounced "shoook" has alternate representatives in the English vocabulary depending on the context in which it is used
One thing is clear though. the action of chooking carries more Negative connotations than positive and is usually "Deep - as in depth of action"

1: Why you chook me for back - English alternate expression : A STAB in the back
2: Why you chook hand for me eye - English alternate expression : A POKE in the eye
3: Why you chook hand for my food - English alternate expression : A DIP in the pot
4: Why you chook my babe - English alternate expression : A DIP in someone's pot of soup and withdrawing with MEAT
5: I chook the bagaar for belle - English alternate expression : to SMOTE someone in the belly (Plunge Knife deeply and sideways like a gangster) like that BLACKAXE member in the Bible Abner

Pierce is the word in the real sense of it.

Prick is fine too but the word carries some other meanings which are inappropriate for kid usage. you know, now.

Puncture fits well but how do you have kids say such a word.
