I'm surprised at this write up.

To be frank with you, you're misguided.
I'm a Yoruba man, while I grew up, I lived with Igbos, and up till this moment, I still live with Igbos, I've got a lot of Igbo friends, and never for once have I envied any of them.
I've been buying my clothes from an Igbo couple since 2008, even when my Yoruba friends introduce their own wares to me, I don't buy, simply because I've established a good relationship with the Igbo couple.
Even when their shop was demolished, I had to go to their house to get stuffs.

We live happily with Igbos
We see Igbos as a part of us
We dine and wine with Igbos peacefully
We sell our lands to Igbos.
We've got zero hate for Igbos.

Stop the unnecessary blasphemy and this nonsensical message of hate.

Remember, Igbos tried their own nairaland... guess it didn't work because their are no afonjas to be cursed out. Anyway, I not saying there's no beef between Igbos & Yorubas. There's a serious beef when it comes to Yoruba's politics in Nigeria which partly resulted in Igbo genocide in Nigeria...and this is why the echo of Biafra will never go away.

Unfortunately and sadly, Nigeria can never ever transform, modernise or industrialise into a modern society some of us are yearning for without absolutely political restructuring.

Is a universal knowledge that political restructuring spur economic restructuring, strong governance institutions, rule of law, ethics, law & order etc.

In this time of national emergency, all of the above will be tested..... and lets watch where is going to lead Nigeria and the rest of Africa.

Nigeria lacks capacity, capabilities, resources, efficiency and of course productivity in all sectors.... all due to extreme weak institutions(political corruption)emanating from the kind of political tragedy the country have being experiencing since after Independence.

The least this country can shoot for now at this time of emergency is efficiency that can lead to some kind of productivity..... and this can only be achieved through micro regional management.

Osibanjo's new economic way of thinking must emphasize some aspects of this thinking or you go the Chinese communist party way.... but for you student of history, it took the execution of Charles the First by the Parliament in the beginning of the 18th century that ushered in the industrial revolution in Britain. On the other hand, Stalin slaughtered 3 million Russians to transform Russia from agricultural base society to industrial one... investing massively in steal production and Fabrications.

For me, regional government NOW!!.

Nigeria has destroyed so much values and people's culture if not what on Earth will lead a Yoruba seeking to marry an Igbo woman...different blood with no connection.

Nigeria is one of the greatest mistake of lugard because one Nigeria is a crime against humanity.
Bro, you know what?, I have come to the ultimate conclusion that all these Yorubas from top to bottom shouting one Nigeria all the time are recessive in nature period. And their one Nigeria mantra have NOT even being time tested to their own little understanding of what it really implies subject to a reverse connotations & applications

For example, if Arewa decided to pull out of the union, can Yoruba or Yoruba, Igbos and others stop them like Igbos were stopped?. If Yorubas decided to pull out of the union, can they succeeded?. Mind you, any of this scenario is plausible over a time line. If the first answer is yes, then Yoruba's one Nigeria mantra is sacrificingly genuine and unrecessive, but if the answer is NO, then their one Nigeria mantra is fake, unsacrificing and can only be activated in line with the whims and decisions of Arewa. I don't even have time for the last question, cos we already know the answer to that.

Arrant nonsense. There is what you are; there is what you think you are; there is what people know what you are. The latest is your true nature blunt and right judgment by interaction and carriage. So, it is right to defend yourself and tribe. You live among others. Your disposition ibrings true measure of judgment about you. Igbos as the one tribe that believe is insecure has a statement of acceptance to make to others Hausa - Fulani or Yoruba do not feel unsafe or want to impress. If you truly worth your onions; it is others who would sing your praise. How many philantrophists of note have arisen from igbo people without seeking gain only in their host communities? Okorocha, any other? I don't know. leadership style among igbos is good, peculiar, and commendable but is obtruse to peoples that have ruled others by either colonization or influence. while Hausa / Fulani or Yoruba have wider coverage and influence, Igbo trail behind. The lack of central object of lord - leader is affecting igbos politicstoday
Nonsense narrative.

How else can others sing your praises?. As humans, you sing other human group praises (*positive praises) by integrating/or adapting so aspects of their core values through intermingling and not by praise singing.

Here in Nigeria, the Yorubas want some of those good attributes of Igbo culture (like core family values etc) by heading straight to the source as can be attested by the increasingly the numbers of Yoruba men wanting Igbo women as wives more than any other groups.

My question then is, what nature of Yorubas can excite praise singing, and how can other groups intermingle to be part of it?. Afrobeats?..

Firstly I would like to introduce myself Because of my brother from southeast that will tag me an impostor.
My name is Kamsiyochukwu I was born and raised in Isiala Ngwa.

After this introduction if you still call me Afonja or yoloba Muslim that's your damn business, You can kiss my ass.

The two way we are ahead of other tribe in Nigeria is...

We are developer.
We are investor.

There's no doubt that we develop Lagos to what its today. But I'm still in shock why we failed to develop our own region Anambra, imo,Enugu, Ebonyi and Abia state.

We are investor: But trust me Innoson is only company that we can boast of in the whole of southeast. 20 African richest people no igbo folk made the list. 10 Nigerian richest people no igbo man or woman made the list. Hausa man is the most richest man in Africa. Yoruba woman is the most richest woman in Africa.

So tell me what we are investing on? we are workerholic but nothing to show for it. Have you ask yourself why our leaders not support that bastard called kanu? The truth is that we can't have our own country Because there is no resource to finance the new country. And to avoid another Somalia and Sudan we must preach against Biafra.
In conclusion let us stop sabotage and envy our brothers. We must learn to love,we must stop saying bad things about our country and we must always praying for our country.

God bless Nigeria president.
God bless the federal republic of Nigeria.
May God continue to enlarge our coast.
There are more factors, but these two stand out.

1) Ignorance of your history.

2) Absence of the civil war history in the school syllabus, so that generation of ignorant folks like you can exist.

Igbos are naturally developers(and indeed, the fertilizer for Lagos development into the mega City she has become today), and investors.

These two qualities of Igbos, and of course other natural endowed attributes are the bane of their tragic history in Nigeria. Let me do the connections for your questions and in reply, disprove them and present your own connections to your questions.

Igbos extra ordinary huge presence in Lagos today(historical presence were there but not like today) have a history behind it. It was by design. It was an economic policies by successive fedral governments right after the civil war to stop Igbos (the developers & investors) from developing & investing in their home steads but rather bring in their God giving endowments to flower other regions especially Lagos as part of the war vanquished booties they have being enjoying from all aspects of the Igbos lives, including their women. Port Harcourt or Calabar could have been the preferred choices for Igbo migration, but these design policies (which are still ongoing) were crafted within a frame work of long term critical infrastructural denial in the SE..eg Obasonjo's government opposition to SE international airport, seaport, roads etc. Political imposition of governors(governance over Igbo lives). That's why, you can shout Biafra, regional governance, State police, exclusive lists, and all would fell on def ears. Maybe the coronavirus and others like it will now let them to rethink, and decongest Lagos and evolve sound policies to transform the country if its not late.

Don't mind that one.

Since Sanusi landed in Lagos, Yoruba politicians, business men, Obas and fake pastors are scrambling to visit him in his exile crib.
I will say it again, the philosophy that guides the Yoruba's view on Nigeria politics, culture, media, economy, ethinicity, religion etc, is frightening to say the least.

I saw this unexplainable excitement of Yorubas with Buhari candidancey & now with Sanusi(both Fulanis).

Is this just emotional, children-like tantrums or something more insidious?. This strange reactions only happens when Fulanis are involved. Could this be spiritual?. It hasn't even being up to two months, a leader of the Meyity Allah, in a Yoruba controlled channel TV, characterises the Yoruba culture/race as primitive. Is this a case of primitivity, Since the Fulanis whom this kind of gesture were directed at described it so?. What is it? Soyinka have join the band wagon. Falana vocal pitch is a little bit higher than usual, same as social media. When Femi Adisana defends his principal (Buhari another
fulani)actions/policies, you can visibly see & feel that strange spirit in him as yet "another Yoruba defending a Fulani at all cost even though is never the other way around.

I don't know or have any answers, but what I know, is that the outcomes will surely keep pushing the country Nigeria, further down the abyss from the status of poverty capital of the world. Oil is now $30 a barrel in an over borrowed economy, with Naira set to be further devalued possibly reaching 600 Naira to a dollar in a very short notice, and one can authoritatively link these outcomes to this unexplainable guiding Yoruba philosophy towards ethinicity, politics, governance etc in Nigeria.

We Igbos are doomed for real.

Nigerian Passport Becomes World’s Fifth Most Powerful- After CNN’s Fareed Zakaria Analysis
nigerian-passport-becomes-fifth-most-powerful-after-cnn-fareed-zakaria-analysis
For the first time ever, an African passport is among the top five most powerful in the world. Revealing this on its website, the Henley Passport Index released its ranking for the year 2020 and Nigeria had a dramatic rise from being at the 95th spot to going up to the 5th most powerful knocking out both Spain and Denmark and tying with Luxembourg.
This, surprisingly, is coming after the White House announced late last month that immigrants from Nigeria and five other countries will no longer be eligible for visas allowing them to live in the US permanently, expanding Trump’s controversial travel ban policy. The proclamation cited Nigeria’s failure to comply with security and information sharing requirements, and its high “terror” risk to the US as reasons for imposing the restriction.
But as CNN’s Fareed Zakaria analyzed in the latest episode of his current affairs program ‘Fareed Zakaria GPS’, Nigerians pose no specific security threat whatsoever to the US and its placing on the travel ban list only amplifies Trump’s racist views on immigration. Zakaria noted that if Trump’s desire for highly skilled immigrants was really a thing, then Nigerians should definitely not be on the ban list. This is because Nigerian immigrants who make up the largest sub-Saharan African immigrants in the US as of 2017, are highly skilled, English speaking immigrants.
Hours after Zakaria’s analysis, the Nigerian passport value suddenly skyrocketed as countries including Canada, Britain, Germany, France, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, and 186 other countries relaxed their visa requirements for Nigerians, wanting a share of those highly skilled immigrants that the US president is too racist to see.
