Let me try.

Look at the complex human body that is so complex and very complex. Complexity is complex. Oh so complex. Oh my complex complexity. Complex. Oh so complex. So complex, that only a Divine Architect can design it but the complex Divine Architect who designed the complex complexity does not need a designer.

That Divine Architect is who we call god. No, not that god. This god. My god.

You do realise that Spiderman is a man behind a mask? A comic character?
You do realize that Jesus is a caricature of a Jewish messiah? A fictional character?

Regardless, Spider Man is real and wants to save your spirit. Comic stories are real events occurring in the Spiderverse which then have real life consequences in the Universe. Have faith.

peggywebbs:
How do you know he is a witchdoctor? Have you turned judge and replaced the supreme Judge?
He is a witch doctor because he chants incantations, performs rituals, says he communicates with invisible beings, and is generally involved in superstitious nonsense. I also like apply Europeans’ insulting language they use to describe others to western culture.

Leave the man alone, it's not compulsory to like Catholics.
Leave the man alone? I didn’t do anything but call a spade a spade. The guy is the leader of the world’s oldest criminal enterprise and only people blinded by the Christianity or belief in god can’t see it.

Catholicism/Christianity is nothing more than european appropriation and corruption of Judaism, and perversion of their messiah concept. It has been a tool of European political states since the Flavians commissioned the gospels and outright criminal enterprise when needed.

Once upon a time, it was compulsory to like Catholics because they’d kill you if you didn’t. Why do you think they are so many Catholics?

And you, the African. The mourner who wails louder than the bereaved. The descendant of pagans and savages who is to be perpetually subjugated dum diversas(They are definitely doing an incredible job).

As a proud descendant of pagans and savages, this animal, his criminal enterprise, and his whitewashed Jewish god only deserve scorn.

I have started calling their precious religion white juju. The pope is the witch doctor of Rome. Their pastors are diviners and wizards.

Transubstantiation is white magic etc.

Like I said I will show you how stupid you have being today, some of you bask in your ignorance while the rest of the world laughs at you and yet you continue to wallow in abject naivety even when you don't have any logical or reasonable reason to.
They are taught right from their mothers’ bosoms that superstition and ignorance are virtues. After being inculcated with ignorance in the name of god, faith, and religion, their minds become fertile grounds for utter nonsense. since most are woefully unequipped to develop critical thinking skills, they get mired in their ignorance and betray their paucity of intellect frequently.

It’s a problem that’s afflicts every Black/African community worldwide.

A world where living things have to eat each other to survive doesn’t look like a well thought out one.
I once saw a video of a hyena sneak up on a water Buffalo, grab the Buffalo’s scrotum, and ripped it off for lunch. Did I mention that the Buffalo was alive and happily chewing cud prior to his balls ending up in the fangs of the hyena?

I wonder what the buffalo would think of the human idea of a benevolent god who designed such a horror show.

Also reminds me of their perfectly “ordered” universe. Check out our solar system. Eight planets, four entirely full of gas. If viewed from the theists’ perspective, one has to ask the purpose of Uranus. A planet theorized to have the smell of rotten eggs based on its composition.

I can imagine a school of gods where the gods create universes as part of their curriculum. The god of this universe probably gets a failing grade for the atrocious design and horror showgrin

Your girlfriend, mother, sister, your bosses, employers, classmates, "friends", wife have been "mentally" robbing and enslaving you.

So you live in a world where people mentally rob and enslave you as a religion.

It is not the other way round.

And you too, do the same to another.

Then you have not really been following my post..there is only one creator. It is just the name that is different....

I learnt very late that Jesus is just a Roman created character. There is no record of him in Jewish, Roman or Greek history..

My stand.
If the Romans created Jesus as a caricature of a messianic Jew, what makes you think Yahweh wasn’t created by Jewish authorities? What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

One creator under different names is nonsense you tell yourself and your Jewish landlord would agree that it is nonsense.

Once upon a time, the Seleucid king Antiochus IV Epiphanes replaced the Cult of Yahweh with the Cult of Zeus in a bid to fully subjugate and hellenize the Jews. Do you think the Jews agreed that Zeus is the same as Yahweh?

Romance › Re: What If Aliens Exist, Will It Crumble Religion?? by KnownUnknown: 11:32am On Jun 16, 2021
josh123:
Just finished watching a movie about aliens, after watching, it got me thinking. I know its no coincidence that the earth falls in the habitable zone and revolves around a dwarf star, which is not too cold or hot for life to exist. Scientist has looked into the observable universe and found out that they are millions of dwarf star out there like the sun and millions of earhsize planet orbiting them. I was thinking if life could exist on earth here there is 100% chance for it to exist elsewhere in both the observable and unobservable universe. Now to my question if we later find out that life exist elsewhere, will it shake the foundation of religion? Aliens were never mentioned in any religious text, and if they were mentioned can you tell me where?? Religion has made us believe earth is the center of everything which I do not agree.
The effect of finding life elsewhere will depend on the beliefs of each religion.

The effect on religions like Hinduism and Buddhism will be minimal compared to the Abrahamic ones that make claims about their god’s affinity for humans and importance of the human race.

Regardless of its initial effect, they will all adjust their claims and the adherents will affirm the new claims. History shows us any utter nonsense can be made the creed of the people by adequate governmental or religious actions. So, all faiths will just update their dogma and stories, then inculcate the new nonsense.

To paraphrase the English philosopher Hobbes; if people can be made to believe in transubstantiation, the can be made to believe anything.

Personally, all gods are Zeus’s counterparts. If something approximating the human idea of deity exists, I don’t see why it should be limited to one.
If need to see a deity, I look in the mirror.

What is going on?

Simon Howard at Marquette University—who was not involved in Roberts’ study, and also remembers being puzzled by a white Jesus in his childhood—calls the research “phenomenal.”

“It’s pretty compelling evidence when you take all his studies together and the interpretation is that the way in which people imagine or conceptualize deities does influence who they think should be in power,” he told Quartz.

Roberts and his team then recruited 51 preschoolers of various backgrounds who had never heard of God at all and introduced them to Zombot. Like the adults, the four and five-year-olds in that study used “information about a fictional God to make inferences about who should be in leadership,” Roberts says. “It was one of the more important findings because it shows that this is not a Christian thing. It’s a psychological thing about, ‘What identity do you attribute to God?’”
