Jman06: ➜This is what happens when people marry for the infatuation they usually refer to as "love"! Just within six months of marriage, they've become tired of the fine faces and hot bodies and now want to start demanding accountability from each other! At this point, they start seeing all the faults they allowed infatuation to block them from seeing ab initio. True love does not hurt , rather it forgives readily even without being asked to. It does not bear grudges nor get so angry with their lover to the point of desiring to hurt them. True love is gentle, slow to anger and emphasizes communication rather than rage! In this generation, people don't marry for true love but for infatuation and selfish considerations! God forbid that I get so angry with the one I love to the point of hurting her! It can never happen Nonsense! Like this, here, does not describe the vast majority of marriages out there. Come on naw! Anyway, I heard the woman has been cleared of the crime. So? |

So, because you supposedly married your wife when she was 22, every other woman out there who gets pregnant at 22 should also consider marriage? Why are you people like this? Is this story of yours any different from the stories told by some religious nutjobs that because their god married a 6-year-old girl, therefore, every other one of them should also be able to marry other 6-year-old girls? |

If I repeatedly warned you against something and told you the actions I would take if you disobeyed, then you only have yourself to blame if you disobey. If you get ruined, then it is all you. EarthKing: ➜That's quite correct. The problem is, how do you even define a good man/woman in this context? The general consensus of a bad man in Nigeria, is when you are care free, look tattered, do dr*gs and other similar vice. But that's not true. Some unassuming fellows with innocent look can be more dangerous. So, the concept of being a good man, or a bad man is subject. I feel, people cheat, because they want to. That is an irrelevant question, given that no matter how good or bad you decide a person is, he/she does not deserve to be cheated on. Cheating is not a fault on the part of the one being cheated on, but an abuse— emotional and physical abuse(since cheating puts the partner in potential harm)— of that person by the one doing the cheating. |

bigpicture001: ➜HV u thought about the limited resources u hv to train ur remaining 3 children will now b used on 5 children.... Dnt u think it will breed poverty..? The resources to raise the child have to come from the girl and the father of the child. They are both old enough to make children, so they should both be responsible for the well-being of that child themselves. Grandparents(on both sides)can contribute now and then, but the bulk of the burden should be placed on both the man and woman who conceived said child. |

Bukola94: ➜So deep, I understand your point, but I still prefer too good husband or too good wives. And I will try not to cheat on them. Most people do not go into relationship planning to cheat. They do everything they can to avoid it. However, when those cracks from their past begin rearing their ugly heads while they are in a relationship, it becomes of absolutely no importance whether they are in a relationship with a good wife(s) or a good husband(s). It becomes merely a battle of personal resolve/will. |

Romance › Re: Why Do Some Women Cheat On Good Men? by Kobojunkie: 4:34pm On Oct 08, 2025 |
Bukola94: it is not natural to commit adultery, many believes and most religions go against it. That is why Islamic religion encourage polygamous, if you are capable.but people criticise it. Traditional marriage and others don't go against multiple wives too . People rightly criticize it because even those men who engage in polygamous relationships are not immune to committing adultery in the end. The same is observed with the traditional religions as well. Additionally, they also make no provision for women who could also commit adultery. If the man is allowed to marry multiple wives, why is the woman not equally allowed to marry multiple husbands or have a harem of her own? 🙄🙄 Religions of every kind seem to target and glorify the male ego over common sense(or all genders). |

Bukola94: Please speak for yourself only, if I see a too good man or too good woman, it will bring out the best in me. And my mind will be at peace . Actually, cheating has nothing to do with the person in front of one but with tangled-up emotions from one's own past. Most times we cheat, we do so to fill up some sort of void inside of ourselves; childhood traumas and unresolved longings from our pasts. These voids can, of course, never be filled by others. |

Martinez39s: ✓ I would ask her who the father is. Regardless of the answer, I would tell her to get her baby and go camp with the guy who impregnated her. As father, you must warn your daughters early on to avoid unwanted pregnancy or at aleast make sure they get pregnant for a guy who is capable and willing to house and take care of them and their kids. If you get pregnant for a guy, you are leaving my house to go stay with him and I won't be responsible for you and your child. If the guy happens to be a bum or one irresponsible bad boy who wants nothing to do with you and your child, tough luck and go fend for yourself. Like this formula has ever worked out, the many millions of times it has been rebooted before now. All you do by foisting your daughter on the same person who didn't think before impregnating her is increase the chances of her ruin and that of your grandchildren, too. We need to start thinking with that brain we claim to have. 🥱🥱 |

bigpicture001: ✓ HV u thought about the limited resources u hv to train ur remaining 3 children will now b used on 5 children.... Dnt u think it will breed poverty..? Your 22-year-old needs to go out and hustle to raise that child. The father of that child also needs to hustle to raise that child too, assuming he is a jobless boy somewhere. If he is not, then he should either be paying child support or having to take care of the child at least 2 weeks out of each month. The first should be the better option both for your daughter's sake and the baby's. This agreement should be formalized to ensure the man is unable to drop the child off with relatives when it is his turn to care for it. . |

bigpicture001: ✓ What about her child The baby is your grandchild and your blood. You should do all you can to protect it by ensuring, if possible, that both the father and mother raise it properly and with love. I am not suggesting you force them into marriage. Rather, you can help them work out a court-sanctioned schedule that includes the child in both their lives—not just your daughter's life. Again, if both your daughter and the boy who impregnated her have court-approved shared/joint custody, then they will both need to spare time to take care of the child. Instead of having just the one person --- your daughter, most likely -- having to sacrifice all of her life and dreams to raise the child. |
