every class from jss 1 till university final year should have a compulsory yearly First aid/CPR Training. The person miles away should have someone nearby who can perform CPR.

He also said this happened in 2009. I find it unbelievable since I have known of CPR since the 80s in Nigeria. So, I decided to refocus my response to the main subject of the thread. I guess my particular question is, why do you have a problem with me having that freedom?

you should learn first aid and CPR, it may save the life of someone you love. Lost my dad in 2009, I could have attempted the CPR if I knew it then and probably save his life. I always think of how differently things could have turned out if I know how to do CPR then.

CPR is great if the person who needs your help is right there next to you. But if you intend to drive 5 miles to give CPR to someone who had a heart attack after receiving a call about it, then I am afraid you are probably not gonna be of help to that person.

Again, Nigerians should work really hard on setting up an emergency service that people can call directly at any time of the day, rather than expect others should set themselves up as emergency givers for their sake.
