Romance › Re: Nigerian Men Are The Best Looking In The World,” Says 77-year-old American Woman by Kobojunkie: 3:02pm On Oct 12, 2025 |
Glimpsetv: ✓ A 77-year-old American woman, who is currently dating a young Nigerian man, has revealed her admiration for Nigerian men. According to her, “They are the best looking guys. They’re the nicest guys — always coming to check on me and making sure I’m okay. One of the young guys calls me ‘Sweet 16,’ and he’s just a friend, but he is the sweetest young man.” She is probably eyeing one of them hoping to play cougar and find her a lover in one. Dem never scam this one yet. 🥱🥱🥱 P.S. I am not against older women finding love or women being cougars. I am against the fact that these victims tend to ignore the red flags to fall into the hands of obvious scammers while claiming to be blinded by love. |

The modus operandi for ladies now is to get married, have like two kids and start praying for their husbands to die so they can continue olosho work as a widow. When guy man refuses to die they claim domestic violence and leave anyway. Ashawo work pays more when you are a single mother. Dey play. This does not add up at all. Why marry when they could get those two kids while single? |

ComeToJesus: Over two decades ago, Pastor Tunde Bakare said something that has been one of my guiding prayers. He said a man's prayer, everyday, should be "O God, let not my wife feed me" Why? Because a man who lost his job was getting rhe kid's school fees and accommodation paid by the wife. One day, the wife dressed up and was about to go out when the husband asked her " honey where are you going?" The wife retorted " Are you talking to me ? The man kept quiet and later reported to the pastor. A woman should never be in the driver's seat of the home. The man go hear whiiiiii The same Tunde Bakare wey be storyteller, abi na which one? |

Isn't that common knowledge? ➜ I'm not sure what this word salad has to do with what I wrote. You obviously didn't understand what I wrote. 1. Saying that girls generally mature faster than boys is not the same as saying girls peak before boys. Note the difference between the two statements. |

Silentgroper: I think you can receive messages on DND.. My phone automatically goes on Night mode around 12 which in turn switches on DND. I think one can always set it up for certain numbers/ contact to bypass DND .. Cause some contact like my mom call dey always enter if my phone is on DND or so .. BTW, if that person is not a doctor, what would calling her change about the sick person .. All of these are, in my opinion, excuses Nigerians use to distract themselves from discussing the rationale behind not having a fully operating emergency service system in the year 2025. That is just what all of this is to me. |

Geofavor: ➜That's how it is. That's how it's always been, everywhere. Men and women run on different biological and social clocks. Generally, women peak first. Men peak last. So, women date up. Men date down. The University really does show you this in real time. It's the best place to learn the dynamics between men and women. Women do not peak first... or whatever the hell that nonsense even means. Rather, women begin attempting to logically process their existence and their well-being much earlier than many men do due mainly to their upbringing. Most of these boys who do the October rush do so for the sake of their egos— absolutely nothing. Women who allow themselves to be swept by the wave do so to gain any material or social benefit that exists for them to have from it. |

Sandralight: It's always funny to me when people think "physical abuse" is the only reason women should leave marriage, what about "Mental and emotional abuse," or are women not humans too, mental abuse even kills more than physical abuse because you can't see it but it will be chipping away your very essence until you become a walking corpse. You forgot to mention financial abuse — when a man deprives his woman of access to an agreed portion of what he earns as her share from the dividends of the marriage. A man as a provider means his wife is entitled to a share of his earnings — apart from that used in tending the household — to cover all her labor that goes towards the marriage. |

Jozilinn: ➜It mustn't be physical abuse alone, mental and verbal abuse is also part of it. Nobody supports separation of any kind, some women are married and are still the ones paying rent, children fees and feeding while most of their husbands are doing nothing. I know of someone whose brother abroad sponsors the daughter's education she's in year 2 now in the university, her husband doesn't know and he has never asked the child how do you do in school with feeding or anything he feels the wife can handle this. I'm not against what you said but I feel they can actually do better alone depending on the type of job the woman is doing. You forgot to mention financial abuse, where the woman gains no financial benefit from the marriage in all of the years she devotes to providing her time and labor to it. A man can be a provider, but that money he brings, the woman should also get a share of it; otherwise, she is not a wife but a glorified baby-mama/bang maid/house maid in that house. That is financial abuse of a wife. |
Romance › Re: Life As A Single Mother Is Hard, Don't Leave Your Marriage. by Kobojunkie: 8:18pm On Oct 11, 2025 |
Farrason: ➜Hmmm... Marriage! Marriage!! Marriage is not a case of one size fits all and no man or woman sets out to get married and walk out few years later despite having kids or become abusive... ➜ These days, marriages need prayers as we are having more broken homes, bitter wives and husbands, partners turning on each other and even children hating parents... ➜ Marriages break between couples and this leads to the family eventually getting scattered. This is a wake up call and truely something is wrong!! 1. While we would like to believe no one wants that, the fact remains that some abusive men and women go into marriage fully intending on continuing their abusive behavior in marriage, expecting their partner to tolerate it until death. Is it your expectation that the victimized partner should condone such abuse without walking away because of marriage? 2. Marriage has never needed prayer but common sense. The ones who told you all to pray are the ones primarily responsible for the deplorable state of marriage as it is today. Their acts of urging you all to endure in marriage through prayer is what has led up to what you see of marriage today. Families that don't need to scatter when a man and woman with children decide to dissolve the union. It simply takes a different form unless one partner is no longer interested and would rather ghost the other members completely. The children raised in many of those abusive, damaged, and toxic marriages are the ones today resolving never to have that happen to them again. If praying for marriage was a novel idea, the children who are the products of those marriages that endured on prayer would not have had to turn away from that supposedly good idea now, would they? 3. Nah! Marriages break because they should rightly break. That is why divorce has been around for as long as marriage has. |
