Ezemann:But the no one understands them claim is false, given we know from the Book of Acts that many who were in Jerusalem on pilgrimage from their home countries understood clearly what the disciples, who had been speaking in tongues on the day of Pentecost, were saying. The message contained in their speech may not have been directed at the people in the vicinity, but the people clearly understood the words that were being spoken at the time. ![]() Whatever Paul meant by his opinion expressed in 1 Corinthians 14 vs 2, one thing is clear, and it is that there must have been a context to that statement which, when ignored, renders the statement false. I suggest you look for and include that context to make sure you have a good idea of what he meant. ![]() |
olaolaking:Wrong! ![]() The power that was given by Jesus Christ of Israel was given as a sign to follow those who belong to Him. Being a follower of Jesus Christ of Israel is an eternal walk for His followers, hence, the sign is itself an eternal sign, not a temporary sign as you pretend. Recall, the same Jesus Christ of Israel also declared that His Word is EVERLASTING — Eternal in orientation. This implies even that which He gives is eternal. ![]() Stop fishing for excuses for why what Jesus Christ of Israel gave to His followers DOES NOT feature in your religion of Christianity, as the obvious answer is that your religion has no connection whatsoever to the movement started in Jerusalem of Judeah by Jesus Christ of Israel— a movement that comprised only Israelites. ![]() |

Cleanthes:You are depressed you didn't get married at their age? Or you are depressed you are not married at this current age? What's stopping you? I bet you there are lots of women today willing to marry you so long as you have money and able to spend it. 😁 |

smokinloud:7. There is no babbling recorded in Israelite Scripture since it is instead confirmed that what they spoke was languages understood by those who came into Jerusalem from other foreign lands during that same time in history. ![]() 8. That is the crazy religious lie you were fed. However, according to Israelite Scripture, there is only one Rock in all of Israel is YHWH. Jesus Christ of Israel was born as a Jew to worship according to that same Rock; He openly admitted this to all of His followers. And it is on this Rock—not a human being— that Jesus Christ of Israel founded His Church. Your religion of Christianity, however, has its roots in the doctrines and traditions established by your non-Israelite church fathers. They fashioned this belief that the rock that Jesus Christ of Israel had to have been referring to was a man named Peter and other humans, without knowing what purpose and place the Rock held in the lives of the Israelites, whose ideas they attempted to plagiarize. That is why you keep insisting that mere humans can serve as rocks for YHWH when the same YHWH is, several times, portrayed as a God who breaks down the rocks of men, prevailing as the Rock of ages. ![]() |
smokinloud:3. I deleted your comment and banned you? By what authority was I able to carry these out? Someone is seriously high on delusions here! By the way, look up the meaning of the term "Strawman" so you do not keep misusing it. 🤣🤣4. It is given that the religion of Christianity, which you are a part of, has no direct or indirect connection to the original movement that was begun by Jesus Christ of Israel in Jerusalem in the land of Judeah. You keep making reference to the book of Israelite scriptures, making it imperative that the differences be made clear. ![]() 5. Wrong! The Bible writers insist that YHWH's idea of speaking in tongues involved the speaking of a complete language that is not learned — Xenoglossia— whereas the religion of Christianity instead suggests its version, which is a repetition of syllables and sounds — Glossolalia — is what is obtainable. These are two completely different things. ![]() 6. Speaking in tongues, according to the religion of Christianity, is speaking in gibberish —glossolalia. This is not unique to Christianity, however, as even voodoo worshippers are known to practice some of the same, only they don't refer to their ritual as speaking in tongues like the Christians do. Neither do patients who, during psychotic episodes, are recorded babbling away, refer to such babbling as speaking in tongues. Only the Christians do that. ![]() |
smokinloud:1. According to Israelite Scripture, the Gentiles are Israelites who are not descended from the Jewish Tribes of Israel — mainly Judah, Benjamin, and Levi—, the inhabitants of the nation of Judah. The problem here isn't Paul's mission but rather the convenient twisted delusion of those who are of the religion of Christianity, who instead insist Gentiles were non-Israelites, the same people Jesus Christ of Israel warned His followers not to give that which is holy— the Gospel — to. ![]() 2. I forced no interpretation here, and there is no strawman in any of what I stated there. According to Jesus Christ of Israel, the sign(not special powers attached wherein), those of His followers who belong to Him(children of God) would speak languages which they were not taught. A language is, at its base, is essential form of communication between at least two individuals, usually human beings, and meant for the ears of individuals, usually humans. This was confirmed in the Book of Acts, where on the day of Pentecost, the followers of Jesus Christ of Israel broke out in tongues which were clearly understood by people who were in Jerusalem around that time for the annual pilgrimage. These languages had to have existed for them to have been heard by the people who heard them at the time. Insisting that Jesus Christ of Israel instead meant a new language amounts to suggesting the language learned was not meant to be understood by other humans, and that, again, is false from the example we are given of its application in the Book of Acts. ![]() |
Hotbloodz:Stop deceiving yourself! In the Book of Acts, we learn that some of the people in Jerusalem on pilgrimage around the time of Pentecost understood what the disciples, who had been speaking in tongues at the time, clearly said. So, does this not throw this powerful wrench into this belief you have that the speaking in tongues illustrated in Israelite Scripture, which is the actual speaking of a human language — Xenoglossia— in any way resembles the gobbledegook your religion of Christianity also refers to as speaking in tongues— glossolalia? ![]() 2. YHWH's own Spirit communicating by way of an unlearned human language with YHWH? Jesus Christ of Israel who simply said it was given as a sign to those who belong to Him is always ignored in these things, I notice. a clear indication that the religion of Christianity value His words a lot less than they do the numerous doctrines and traditions — lies — of their many gods of men. ![]() 3. Why do you folks feel the need to add your delusions to what is written? Where do you get this impression that this spirit needs what you consider building up or strengthening? ![]() |
smokinloud:See what religion has reduced a mind to, abeg! ➜ Is this the same Satan who, in Job 1, approached YHWH when the Sons of YHWH approached Him, and was eventually commanded by YHWH to torment Job? ➜ Is this the same Satan who, in Zechariah, was said could only be rebuked by the Lord — even the angels could not directly rebuke Him? ➜ Is this the same Satan who, in Matthew 4, directly approached and tempted Jesus Christ of Israel, only to be then rebuked by Him? ➜ Is this the same Satan who, in Luke 22, Jesus Christ of Israel announced had asked to test His followers like a farmer tests his wheat? The Satan in the Scriptures you all pretend to quote from is a lot different from the Satan your religion of Christianity continues to throw around. I mean, they are completely different personalities entirely. ![]() Well, at least you admit that your religion of Christianity's idea of speaking in tongues is completely removed from that specified in Israelite Scripture by Jesus Christ of Israel, which is instead simply to serve as a sign of affirmation for those who belong to Him. I wonder what you Christians are busy blocking with your copy of speaking in tongues. ![]() 2. However, a scam can never become or take the place of the original much the same way the religion of Christianity, with its many non-Israelite church fathers, can never come close to the original movement that was started in Jerusalem of Judeah almost 2000 years ago by Jesus Christ of Israel for His fellow Israelites. ![]() |

Oyinbos dey so am, Mexicans dey eat for dream, Asians dey eat for dream. Na Africans con go carry am for head say eating in dream is bad omen. You better snap out of that and every other nonsensical delusion out there before it causes Africa to happen to you like it did to many of your ancestors. ![]() |
Geesunny:Paul's ideas regarding the interpretation of tongues are just that, his ideas. In Acts, when the original disciples spoke in tongues, there was no interpretation of tongues necessary, as there were individuals who understood what was being spoken, even though the message contained did not seem directed at them or of great relevance to them. What Paul was instead going at was the use of the phenomenon to disturb others, especially during their commanded assemblies...yes ... YHWH of Israel commanded meetings/holidays which all Israelites were expected to observe. ![]() Jesus Christ of Israel, the one you all conveniently love to ignore, gave His followers that feature -- the speaking of an unlearned language -- to his followers --- as a sign to other Israelites that they belonged to Him. However, your religion of Christianity instead succeeded at weaving other ideas into the heads of its gullible masses by way of its numerous interpretations of the simple words spoken by the man named Paul, whose only intent was to argue for decorum at their many gatherings where they, Israelites, lived. ![]() |

mayorall:1. Why would anyone need a special language to communicate with this God you refer to? Does he not understand human language? Or is he hard of hearing? ![]() 2. But how do you know that whole setup isn't a scam? ![]() 3. That sounds like a scam used by those who wish for people to accept gibberish without question, don't you see? ![]() |
jayAjoku:I asked a simple question earlier, which you never responded to. Do experts need to know all human beings that ever existed before they could map what is known as the human genome? This isn't rocket science, but to you religious folks, everything is a test of your faith, so answer the question. ![]() |
AntiChristian:I don tell you say make you carry that book read for yourself and brain, instead of coming in to regurgitate the same religious nonsense fed you by the same religious folks you think yourself somehow better than. ![]() |
