For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit. The book of Act is a jounalistic book. we cannot build doctrine with the book of Acts.

But the no one understands them claim is false, given we know from the Book of Acts that many who were in Jerusalem on pilgrimage from their home countries understood clearly what the disciples, who had been speaking in tongues on the day of Pentecost, were saying. The message contained in their speech may not have been directed at the people in the vicinity, but the people clearly understood the words that were being spoken at the time.

Whatever Paul meant by his opinion expressed in 1 Corinthians 14 vs 2, one thing is clear, and it is that there must have been a context to that statement which, when ignored, renders the statement false. I suggest you look for and include that context to make sure you have a good idea of what he meant.

That is not the only place the Bible talked about tongues. In 1corinthians 14, it talked about the interpretation of tongues. If there is need for interpretation,then not all tongues are of recognisable language. In the original greek translation of the bible, 'others tongues ' actually mean 'of uncertain affinity ' or not naturally acquired. The things of the spirit are mysteries.

Paul's ideas regarding the interpretation of tongues are just that, his ideas. In Acts, when the original disciples spoke in tongues, there was no interpretation of tongues necessary, as there were individuals who understood what was being spoken, even though the message contained did not seem directed at them or of great relevance to them. What Paul was instead going at was the use of the phenomenon to disturb others, especially during their commanded assemblies...yes ... YHWH of Israel commanded meetings/holidays which all Israelites were expected to observe.

Jesus Christ of Israel, the one you all conveniently love to ignore, gave His followers that feature -- the speaking of an unlearned language -- to his followers --- as a sign to other Israelites that they belonged to Him.
