I feel due to their level of education, they didn't really think the name out. This mainly applied to those naming their kids an English name. There are several names to me that I feel are not really ideal though I may be wrong.
For example naming your kid Thomas. Do you want your kid to be doubting in life like the Thomas in the bible or naming your kid Hope. So you want your kid to always be ☺️ hopeful. For how long will the child be hoping. Well ,I may be wrong. Just my thoughts.

Thomas is a decent name for any kid.

Love without courage is manipulation and deceit. If I can't tell someone that I claim to love that I suffered from mental illness for much of my youth and adult life, then what I am instead looking to do is deceive this person into thinking that all is well. And worse, I curse this person to a life of potential heartbreak. That is not love but the opposite.

If a depressed mind was able to conjure a delusion mirroring what you refer to as your faith in all exactness, except for your particular fixation with belonging to this house of faith and this idea of people coming from different geographical locations, what does that there say of your so-called faith if not that it is nothing more than a delusion at its core, no matter the labels you superficially affix to it.

Why did you abandon your faith?

That was the god of depression, which I discovered while researching the religion of Christianity. My mind created for me the delusion of god. Fortunately, as I worked hard through the years on overcoming depression and the psychosis that led to that delusion, I lost that god, too. The delusion was born of the many fears and anxieties, shame, guilt, sadness, etc., that ravaged my severely depressed mind at that point in my illness. I am glad those days are behind me. I could never wish that kind of faith on even my worst enemy.
