Wasn't Ajiboye in goal at 2009 U20 when we lost our first 2games and conceded 3 in the second round against Germany?

And Bassey only kept at U17 he was not tested at U20.

Abeg we don't need all those Ajiboye sentiment here. Nobody did any thing wrong to him.
Ajiboye was not in goal in U20 WC but Okafor due to injury.

Sir hope you watched Sudan match, pls this is not sentiment the guy did well and a good fan must recognised that heroic performance and trust if he messed up against Morocco he would be scolded like nobody.

Tbaba1234 sent a gift to my son today. I came in now and it was delivered to me. He did not know me from Adam. I felt like crying, no I am actually crying. He said just one statement spread the love. I promise you brother that as long as I have this breath of life I shall spread the love. On behalf of my family I say a very big thank you to you. Favour shall continually follow you and your family all the days of your lives, AMEN.
Please nairalanders help me say a big thank you to tbaba1234.

All goalies concede goals but ridiculing Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Uche Okafor for the goals they conceded is not fair.
Do you also recall that the game Ezenwa conceded 4 was 0-0 after 90mins? The defense that had Efe Ambrose and Echiejile crumbled and I remember Ezenwa making numerous saves during the regular 90mins. We were at the back foot for the most of that game.

I reiterate it that no body did Ajiboye any wrong. His time comes when it comes. That's all.
My big oga this discussion does not deserves Ezenwa vs Ajiboye.

I was enjoying every bit of your discussion with thegoodjoe on how to build special talent if we discovered one and i don't think thegoodjoe ever mentioned Ezenwa as a crap in the whole thing. What he was saying is simple, that Ajiboye is a rare gem that should have been in camp understudy the likes of Enyeama,Ejide and Aiyenugba.

Truly you disagreed with him and you raised some points which cannot be swept under the carpet but both of you have some valid points and all we need is to harness it but truth must be told without sentiment we need to pay attention to special ones.Nduka Ugbade enjoyed this privilege right from Kodak 85 till 1994.

Hope you remember how Iheanacho and Success were almost turned into mediocre during U 20 cos the coach find it so difficult to blend them into his team, thank God nobody doubt their quality but did you know those guys careers would have turned to static after U 20 WC if they are still home based.

I don't want to talk on Ezenwa and Ajiboye rivalry cos there was a thread on Ajiboye performance against Sudan where Sudanese coach said Ajiboye took Nigeria to final, just too glaring the ethnic bad syndrome came into full glare and i need to run from the thread.

Sir i will not deceive you i don't rate Ezenwa, am always preferring Akpeyi but against Argentina i just need to succumb that Akpeyi wasn't good enough.Till today am always seeing Ezenwa as a keeper that studied Akpeyi lapses and build on it and that lapses is call confidence.

Ezenwa confidence in a goal post is awesome but nothing special about Ezenwa when we talk of class and it showed against Algeria but in CHAN especially against Angola he showed a class of a good keeper and that's what we want, improvement and if he continue with that performance it would be difficult for Rohr to drop him.

Dele Ajiboye great performance against Sudan when he came in for injured Ezenwa wasn't a surprise for those who knew him from U 17 but to some a surprise cos they are seeing him for the first time and i will not deceive you it has been long seeing Nigeria keeper in such a symbolic displayed,Enyeama did it last against Argentina in 2010 WC though his own against Sudan but those saves are too daring and it showed that the guy is damn good cos those saves are meant for good keepers.

It was these saves that make thegoodjoe to come out and believe that Nigeria system doesn't help our great talents, why such keeper should in the cooler for so long,so if not for Ezenwa injury a lot won't know that we have another capable hand on the bench.

Good to have improved Ezenwa cos he did marvelously well against Angola and Ajiboye was just too damn good against Sudan and Uzoho 45 minutes performance against Argentina showed that we might not need Enyeama again if these lads keep on performing.

I see the portability of them winning the cup..though it may resort to spot kick.

See swerving,I tot u were for kameni grin grin, anyway DTS boss kog45 opinion, as far as I am concern, enyeama is not on d same level with kameni
elyte89 my man oya prove it that Kameni is better than Enyeama base on national team level cos i already agreed that Kameni have it on club level.

Jiday didn't swerve but agreed with my opinion and that's normal for a gentleman to do.

As far back as 2010 Kameni lost his position as number one after he came in as number one in late 2002 and never reclaim it while Enyeama snatched it from Ike Shorunmu in 2002 and lost it in 2008 afcon to Ejide but the same 2008 reclaimed it till he left unceremoniously in 2016.

Kameni had 71 caps and Enyeama had 101 caps and both are well recognised by CAF as one of the finest to come out of Africa.

In Europe i gave it to Kameni but national team i gave it to Enyeama though to sum it all Kameni have it but respect to both for doing Africa proud.

I get really depressed when I read posts like this. Its either we don't believe in the goal keepers, our players are average, bashing of players etc. We are our own problem. We have been programmed to lose the world cup even before the first ball is kicked. We should bleed green and support whoever turns out to represent us on the field of play. Pessimism from us the fans spreads to the players who read our posts on line. Let's leave Rohr to do his job.
Good observation but pls where are you when our CHAN players were being bash left and right as if they are not humans.

Kameni even won the Olympics
Pls forget Olympics but national team,Kameni had 71 caps while Enyeama had 101,Kameni won Afcon in 2002 as a reserved keeper but Enyeama won it as number one keeper.

In Europe Kameni is far ahead but national team very debatable.

Pls i don't rate Olympics cos is under aged tourney and you will never see me rating Kanu and co with Atlanta success when am talking about Super eagles.

My man try and get the point,we are very luck to get Iwobi early and what is cup game comparing to a young player that has feature in champions league and yet to make a debut, better to call them capped them and let leave everything for the future,if they come good fine than all these Tammy,Aogo,Patrick Owomoyela wahala.

Apart from Ezenwa, Faleye, Itodo and Ifeanyi, everyone else is ready to go. Peter Eneji is back recovered and ready to go in the finals. Taking an injured player to a tournament is one of the biggest gambles I have ever heard of in football but if he plays a big role tomorrow Salisu and his crew will look like geniuses I guess.

The players should not feel that they have done enough because that would be a disservice to themselves. I have always maintained that what most these African leagues have over us is their management and not their players. Our boys must know their worth and go for gold. Our WAFU cup defeat to Ghana all of a sudden becomes a blessing in disguise because our guys would not want to relive that nightmare again.

The pressure that had followed the Super Eagles since our draw against Rwanda has suddenly transferred to Morocco. IMO if their game against Libya had gone into PKs they would have lost because barring their goals they really played nonsense. Our boys will thrive under much lesser pressure being that most feel that making it this far is fair enough. We shall defeat Morocco.
Thanks for the info,my man am with you tomorrow cos you really showed what patriotism is all about

Really Hahahaha, safari dey vex o but Rohr need to sort the goalkeeping issue through upcoming friendlies.Good we all saw what Ajiboye can do but need to see him again against Morocco.

If Enyeama is not forthcoming then we concentrate on Ezenwa,Uzoho,Ajiboye,i can't really say much on Maduka cos i see him more of Uzoho and Alampasu, group of rookies, honestly the situation looks dicey.

At least iwobi is in the first team of arsenal starting some games, you think dat guy will make pep team with the way pep is spending on defenders?
My man you have not answer his question. He said how many games did Iwobi played before making his Eagles debut.

What he was trying to say is that we should not wait till they become household name before we cap them.If we didn't decide on Iwobi early enough honestly we would have seen him in three Lions jersey just like Dele Ali.

I am not sure height should be necessary here. Enyeama the best GK that Africa has ever produced wasn't exactly a man-mountain. Casillas, the best GK in the early 2000s wasn't that tall either. Then Oliver Kahn, the best GK ever was hardly taller than 6'1, not exactly tall in this sense
Truly height should not be the main thing but remember Berti Vogts went for height and picked Ejide over better Enyeama.

Apart from height i don't think Uzoho and Alampasu are better than Ajiboye but am suspecting Rohr want them tall.
