Seems like the German boys rejected our advances cos I do not understand why the FA are going after adarabioyo, he's a bench warmer at City for crying out loud. Nawa o
Uduokhai is only regular amongst the German boys and i don't think Adarabioyo can get into our squad now but may be in the future if he is willing but must be a good and promising player to always make the city bench as CB..

If Uduokhai,Akpoguma,Torunarigha,Irofa and Adarabioyo can say yes then future is guarantee especially in centre back

Few foreign borns might genuinely pick us ahead of Germany even with a less fancy team. It just means we should respect those players, it doesn't mean we should despise those that didn't, because, if given the chance, many of us will pick Germany without batting an eyelid.
Pls are they not respected and those who decided not to play for us should be respected too, that one depends on what transpired between the FBs and NFF.

Pls is David Alaba and Dele Ali not respected,is Murphy Akanji not respected but Nigerians will despise any FBs that we approached and rejected us like Tammy Abraham, John Fashanu,Gabby Agbonlahon,Jordon Ibe or what do you think

Not yet, and God bless you for making my point for me.

When Ekong and Balogun made their debut, I think we still had Oboabona, Ambrose and Omuero then, but Troost and Leon weren't denied the opportunity because they weren't World Class.

Then why bringing up World Class when it involves Uduokhai who's also another foreign born.
No my man,Keshi singlehandedly called Leon Balogun and had his debut against Mexico but got injured.

Ekong Troost was just too average or let me say below average,so he couldn't make the team,it was absence of Omeruo at Olympics that gave him the chance.

Pls go and watch Olympics again and you will agree with me that Super eagles contribute a lot to the development of Ekong.

Pls point of correction i never mentioned Uduokhai should be a world class before he can be invited,it seems you are mixing things up.

When you talk of attractiveness, it is Brazil, they have a richer footballing culture but the Gulf in attractiveness between the two is not that big, they are both very attractive and I classify both as class A.

When you talk about Nigeria and Germany, keep patriotism aside and view with a clear mind, you'll see that German national team is way more attractive to players than the super Eagles.
Yea I got your point and am not basing my comments so far on patriotism.

It would be stupid to compare Nigeria and Germany when it comes to attractiveness but my point is this do we need to be attractive like Germany and the likes to attract our FBs.

We are speaking relatively here. Super Eagles has always been attractive, yes! But in relation to countries like Germany, that attractiveness pales. That is the point.

My point was simple.

- We don't have a team filled with World Class players.

- These foreign born(s) are not World Class either.

- These guys are Nigerians like those that were born at home, then why set the bar higher when considering them? That's unfair to me.

- In summary, our players are average just like the FBs are, no much difference.

¡Es sencillamente simple!
Who set the bar higher?they should come in and perform like any other super eagles players,Nigerian fans are so passionate, nothing like FB or home grown foreign base players, perform and get the shirt.

I didn't join the argument in support or otherwise of the invitation of udhokai, I only reacted to a statement you made and seeing that we had treated that issue at a point, when Mujtahida and jobie schooled us, I decided to chip in.

See, as a player, these guys make decisions for career advancement. In deciding which country to play for, it is easy for these guys to choose the glamorous European teams. I said we should clean our house and you misconstrued it.

We can clean our house by eliminating corruption in our teams. Tell me our team isn't more attractive with Rohr? This is a man that would make calls to clubsides to find out why his players are not playing, a coach that looks for club for his players, th at is career advancement, every player would want that kind of coach.

My brunt with your patriotism argument is that you are pinning the patriot tag on people that had it easy, they never had to make the hard choice.
You speak about Ebuehi, I admire the young man but if we're being honest, at this point the super Eagles is more attractive than the Dutch national team. Fact.
My man i get your point and agreed but Super Eagles has been attractive for so long depends on what you mean by attractive, any FB who is damn serious knows this that Nigeria is solid when it comes to Football.

I remember Tunji Banjo a thorough FB who played for Nigeria in 1980 Afcon,John Chiedozie too in the 80s,Reuben Agboola in early 90s,Efan Ekoku in the mid 90s,George Abbey,Sodjes,Danny Shittu,Shola Ameobi,Sone Aluko,Hope Akpan,Victor Mosea etc.

Remember Balogun and Ekong were discovered by Keshi and Iwobi by Siasia not even Rohr, just to tell you the team has been attractive to those FB that value it.

If my son had the opportunity to break into the Spanish team today, I'd unapologetically advice him to go for it, that might be the best career decision he'd ever make.

These people think we have a team filled with World Class players, when in reality almost all our players are either average or below average
Pls what is really World Class player and what do you mean by our players are either average or below average.

Pls tell me any of these FB that's world class cos the way we are rating our players look diminishing and disturbing.

As long as, he is respectful. There is no big deal if he chooses Germany.

NFF spooked the English FA on Tammy. Germany on the other hand can have 4 full teams at the moment. They would mind less losing Uduokhai.
Uduokhai is not even in the 4 full of teams of Germany, better for him to decide now or he lose it cos playing for Germany he is on the long thing.

Truth is even if we get Felix Uduokhai before Russia 2018, the only player that will be dropped for him is Omeruo.

Uduokhai won't and can't displace Balogun and Ekong. That won't happen now. Even Awaziem is a tough nut. But I will pick Uduokhai over Omeruo right now based on quality alone.

And yes, we know who is who is the GWG... Right now without a doubt, in Ekong and Balogun we have two of Africa's Best CBs that can be classed in the Top 10 in Africa. And in Awaziem, we have one of Africa's brightest young CBs and a player with world class potential in his position.

These three are the Super Eagles Top three choices and best right now at CB. Omeruo is still decent but not top quality. He is also error-prone. He showed potentials back then but has not progressed ever since so we have just Balogun, Ekong, and Awaziem for now as our top 3.

I think this is where Uduokhai can fancy his chances with our team. To provide another quality option in defence at CB.
Good point but i don't think there is need talking on a German who is not yet ready to play for us.I don't want Tammy Abraham heart break again.

Nooooooo.... we have top quality too in Balogun, Ekong, and Awaziem most especially. Omeruo too is good quality and have good WC experience.

I don't think Sir Tbaba1234 is rubbishing our players. I think he only wants us to be open to more defensive reinforcements. We need more hands in our defence and that is true.

Just look at the Germans... multiple quality options.
No he his rubbishing them, pls when chips are down we know who is who in eagles oh,forget all these regular in Bundesliga, Uduokhai would work harder to displace Balogun, Ekong, Awaziem even Omeruo, they may be warming bench or not regular.

I feel like the problem is that very few have watched this guy play.

He has played 19 times, this season alone and we are at the mid-way point. Not in 2017 as a whole. He joined July 2017. And yes, he is an outstanding prospect. He is a regular starter unless injured. In his first season, nonetheless. He has come in as a youngster and displaced players with more experience.

Omeruo could not cut it in the championship. Balogun has been relegated to the bench, Ekong is in Turkey.

Certainly, a 20 year commanding regular football in the bundesliga in his first season is a top prospect.

This guy is linked to Arsenal to a summer transfer to Arsenal to replace the retiring Mertesacker.

'Sportsmail can reveal Mainz's Abdou Diallo and Wolfsburg's Ohis Felix Uduokhai are two central defenders already earmarked to replace club captain Per Mertesacker, who will join Arsenal's academy in a coaching capacity at the end of the season.'

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5184565/Arsenal-squad-set-huge-shake-up.html
My man i watched him closely this season with Akpoguma, they are good player and linked with Arsenal not a big deal.

Come on guys... chillax... cheesy The German national team got lots of quality in their defence. Check these out,

Nicklas Sulé, Antonio Rudiger, Willi Orban, Mathias Ginter, Skodran Mustafi, Jonathan Tah.... etc are all quality CB options for Germany.

The first choice CBs are Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummels.

Now ask yourself... compared to our own defensive options, does Uduokahi's quality stand a chance of breaking in ahead of even Rudiger, Sulé, Tah or Mustafi??!!! That is four bad-ass options here and there is still Hummels and Boateng at the very top of the pile... Holy Moses!!!! shocked

Nigeria boasts of only Balogun, Ekong, Awaziem and Omeruo as Fine Quality... who else do we have as Fine quality? Efe Ambrose?? Uche Agbo? Abeg who? Do you see the issue here?

So Felix Uduokahi's inability to break into the Germany squad will not be based on his potentials, quality or abilty because those are not in doubt. It will rather be based on the guys already ahead of him who also boast similar potentials and abilities like him. Guys like Tah, Sulé, and co for instance.

So biko... let us not use that "let him break into Germany squad first if he is that good" mentality to rate him because truth is even our own Awaziem will not find it funny breaking into that same German side.

That is all I wanna say to set matters straight here. Uduokhai is a top quality young CB and that cannot be taken away from him. Period.
Yes German teams have the quality in CB but rubbishing our players cos of FB breed who wants to use us as allternative is uncalled for

Who are our CBs? Ekong, Balogun, Awaziem and Omeruo

How many of these will start in the Bundesliga?

Uduokhai starts every week in the Bundesliga when fit. The only reason you will not start him is that he is new to the team but based on just quality, he will start comfortably.
My man a fit Balogun is better than Uduokhai and don't even say Ekong would not start in Bundesliga cos you cannot say,Awaziem is doing well in French league, so what a fuss about Uduokhai.

Mind you am one of the people that believe in him,if we get him good but not really exceptional cos i watched him closely this season without sentiment.

Ekong's chance of playing with holland was non-existent same with balogun. If Uduokhai keeps playing, german caps are not too far off.

If Germany cap is sure for Uduokhai then we should forget him and concentrate on what we have instead of shading shadow.

My man you think like a coach, this is the reason i need to look at icon4s view critically that we need to see more of Uzoho,Idowu,Ebuhei and Aina,45 minutes is not enough but that potential that they will come good in subsequent matches is there for us to see.
