DABIGATRAN:
There was actually an open screening in different states of Nigeria for the 2013 and 2015 teams. Some players were picked on recommendation as well as based on previous stints with the u15 teams
Oga no player carry bags without recommendations and go to under 17 camp, forget all the media hypes of open screening.....it should be tagged recommended players open screening......do you know how coaches and agents run this things,my man you go dey surprised o.

I am not defending boniface but scoring for fun in German league as well as champions league cause I think boniface has played 3 Cl match and he has very good game in all scoring against Milan I don’t think he will be dropped the worst he will be invited and be on the bench that the immunity he is enjoying over some other strikers and people Belive he will come good for super eagles too
My discussion here is on Super Eagles....yes good club performance leads to invitation,no argument but a player can't be getting invitations and continuing playing nonsense.

Don't worry yourself. Our youth system is totally down. As soon as the NFF stopped open screening, it was over and looked arrangee to me.
Yes there is open camping based on recommendations.I remember we had this discussion on open camping with different views.
.

If player don't get connect for open screening forget it bro......you don't just carry your bags and said oh am going to Under 17 camp for screening.

Manu Garba and Emma Amunike open screening was based on recommendations so there is different between open screening and recommendations for open screening, players like Victor Osimhen, Kelechi Nwakali, Iheanacho,Success,Awoniyi and others all made it to eagles camp on recommendations for open camping,in fact Awoniyi made it based on Olofinjana recommendations after UK under 15 coca cola summer camp in London.

1980s-90s youth teams successes are on well rooted grassroots systems, picking players from principal cup,Manuwa Adebanjo cup,National sports festival and states YSFON teams.

Nigeria now have pools of football academies as an advantages now, from Lagos,Anambra,Imo,Jos,Kaduna,Oyo and other states there are enough talents in those academy schools to pick from to form open camping and mind you there is no real street footballing again cuz they are all attached to one academy or the other.

The major issue with our youth teams is more than open screening but poor developmental programs from NFF and the same system is affecting the senior team but our Europe based players always giving us the confidence that no matter what we will manoeuver our way but when reality set in like WC qualifying standing now we are realizing that wahala dey .

Dropped it not possible with his club performance he will always be invited but probably be on the bench
What do you mean by dropping is not possible cuz of his club form......Oga national team is not a place you comes in on club performance and continue misfiring.

Age matters in football sha. Established player like Bruno going to Olmpiacos for €2.5M, while younger upcoming Vince to club Brugge for €4M. It may be about potential anyway.
It's not about age but the quality you bring to the table....and get this,Portugal league wages damn too poor

He is talking about his club chances not the SE if I get him correctly.

He was responding to him being benched by his clubside.

Zicky was right. He didn't quoted thegoodjoe but to Junnyjake response to Philosopher comment and mind you Zicky and I picked on quote from Junnyjake to Philosopher.

That response he quoted was being benched by his clubside which TGJ was saying he shouldn't be benched and not the SE.
Yes thegoodjoe quote was purely on Rangers Man Utd match

Philosopher, Junnyjake and my quotes are on eagles, yes philosopher derailed from the main issue raised by thegoodjoe.

By the way, if Igoh Ogbu was as good as we say, why hasn't any club noticed him?
Naso e dey be sometimes....Igoh Ogbu is good or do you want to tell me Olisa Ndah is not good.

I will rather have Olisa as my CB than Calvin Bassey though in 3 man defense Bassey thrive wella.

The clownish Sofascore has changed the big chances missed from 4 to 3 just now. How will someone have 5 shots on target and you count three as big chances missed? Make dem dey play.

Make them dey give goalkeepers their credits sometimes, I know a big chance missed when I see one and Osimhen missed only one big chance yesterday.
My question Banky, would you have come out in full force to talk down sofascore if this happens to other players cuz many here used the same sofascore, whoescore and fotmob to rate our players performances.

BankyGee:
This is looking bad if you see the numbers but if you watch the matches live, you'll see that 87% of these so called "big chances missed" are point-blank saves from goalkeepers... I don't think Osimhen has up to real 10 big chances missed in the Europa League.

Osimhen gets in positions to score more than all the forwards in the Europa League presently hence the high number. Someone with 17 big chances missed that is leading the charts of most total shots taken and most shots on target taken.

Yes he needs to improve, everyone needs to improve but these stats dey misleading if you no dey watch the match.
I thought stats is the yardstick to measure a player?some of us here always saying stats is not the conclusive measure to rate a player.

He has improved in this aspect but his biggest weakness he has not made much progress on and that is staying on side.

He’s been caught offside 11 times in his last four games (including this one).

If he wants succeed at the highest levels which we all know he can, he really has to work on this aspect of his gams, especially if he comes to the Prem where the speed of play is much faster.
Na cuz of Osimhen we dey hype this nonsense Galatasaray team and very poor Turkish league...
