Tinubu did absolutely nothing., built no schools , many roads he inherited from federal government were allowed to become dilapidated. Lagos picked up under fashola, continued by Ambode and maintained by the current person there. Tinubu was more engrossed in his political fights to secure his position fought akerele, Obasanjo, Funsho Williams etc and wasn’t even concerned about humane welfare of Lagosians as to him that doesn’t matter

James Ibori was one of the best governors of his set. It was just that Obasanjo set him up to be imprisoned in London over the presidency issue. Obasanjo wanted a northerner in 2006 while Ibori, Odili and Alamiesigha wanted a Niger deltan since most of Nigerian revenue comes from Niger Delta

Obasanjo had long left power when Ibori was arrested.

The singular fact that NNPC is the sole distributor of Dangote petrol means that the masses will have zero benefit from the magnificent refinery. NNPC could buy at N10 and decide to sell at N100. They can still cause artificial scarcity at will and hike the price as usual. It is a very worrisome situation that a national corporation has become a distributor for a private firm whereas it cannot maintain the refineries under its watch.

Having refinery of this magnitude in the country, everything about distribution of petroleum products should be completely deregulated. Let the forces demand and supply determine price and supply...

That’s the reason the masses will benefit. Mr Dangote knows Nigerians will come for him if he releases the price of PMS. Does NNPC have the power to stop him from selling to the public. The arrangement was done to enable the government subsidize the product.

What is not clear? If Dangote should release the actual price to the public, people will come for him. This arrangement allows the government takes care of the difference between the actual cost and the pump price i.e subsidy.

I just hope that this kind of fundamental diplomatic shift, was done after thorough and strategic planning. It seems like Tinubu is running the country like a sole administrator, especially with the legislature and the judiciary already pocketed. This kind of decision should be done after much consultations.

While following the Chinese is the best path, since China is basically the next super power, policy makers should understand that countries like Taiwan are still very important diplomatic tools being used by the west to influence politics in Asia. This means that an anti Taiwan stand by Nigeria will surely attract some sort of reactions from the west.

1.Preliminary investigation from the picture reveals expansion as the major cause of the crack, the heat this year is intense, they was no (Joint) provision made for expansion.
2. The underneath soil is expansive clay, which swells due to the rainy season hence the result you are seeing.

Recommendation:
The concrete should be partitioned leaving room for slight Earth movement ( this will prevent crack as a result of expansion of reinforced concrete as a result of extreme temperature and Earth movement)

The deal was initially approved by the Buhari presidency, but Buhari later reversed himself following pressure from NNPC. To know why ExxonMobil is selling, Google a country called Guyana. That's the new Nigeria for the oil majors. They have used and dumped Nigeria as the era of cheap and free oil is all gone. The sale is good for Nigeria as Seplat being a competent and strong operator will invest in increasing production from Asset.

Why not implement a direct agricultural productivity policies specifically for farmers to boost production within the state.
Do not not mix the two work together. It’s either you’re a farmer or civil servant. Incentivize both vocations to get effective and efficient results.

I believe in capitalism,I believe that the customer is king and free to chose any options available to him/her but sincerely I wish Nigerians could boycott all these thieving, unpatriotic, profit taking and imbecilic foreign airlines and fly only Air Peace.
I say this because I know about the airline business,just 2 months ago,the cheapest tickets one way from Manchester to Lagos on ethopia airlines was close to 1 million naira when the Us dollar was close to 1400.
I remember the price for the tickets around 751$.
Suddenly from Lagos to London on these imbecilic airline is now 700000.
U wonder the amount of crazy profit these mad airlines milked our citizens for the last 1 year.
That's why I query the kind of huge losses some foreign companies operating in Nigeria were declaring last month,it's a terrible scam.
Nigerian should please support their own,let us stop this terrible habit of always bring our own down, this is the emotions these foreigners play on to totally suck us dry.

Which investors? Our Nigerian brothers and sisters that bought assets from Shell and the likes have refused to make the required investment, partly due to the large scale crude theft.

The government is only providing the infrastructure required to transport gas produced by Oil companies. Nobody will make that investment if the government does not.
