Car Talk › Re: Little Known Car Fuel Wasters And Fuel Saving Tips by komek(m): 7:17pm On Mar 17, 2015 |
shegsrules: Fuel economy is something people look out for when they want to buy cars because it is such a very important factor.
This might be difficult when buying used card because, even the even the most fuel efficient car may have has several faults and gone through a lot that it starts to consume fuel excessively. In this post, we will share with you those factors that contribute to fuel wastage in cars and tips that you use to save fuel.
Common Ways to Waste Fuel In Cars (With Saving Tips)
The following are the common ways fuel is been wasted in vehicles that many people don’t even know about. They can easily be solved with the usual car maintenance. Unfortunately, many of us don’t take our cars for checks and regular maintenance (except the usual engine servicing).
Let me start first of all by telling you to be watchful of the filling station where you buy fuel. I don’t want to start mentioning names now but fuel quantity and quality of some filling stations are very poor in this country. Fuel of N6,000 will fill my tank at some stations but will be far from the full tank mark when I buy in other filling stations.
Also, fuel from different sources tend to burn out at considerably different rates. I have noticed it when I my route was just the same over a period of one year.
1. Low or Under-inflated tyres & Bad Wheel Alignment:
This may appear unlikely to many but the truth of the matter is that under-inflate tyres and incorrect wheel alignment can increase rolling resistance of tyres. This condition can cost you a mile or two per gallon on a car that normally delivers 20 miles per gallon of fuel.
Gauge your tyres often and inflate them if need be. Bad wheel alignment should be fixed as soon as possible. These factors not only affect fuel consumption but also safety and tyre life. In countries like Nigeria where people buy used tyres, it is good to check factors such as the tyre ratings and year of manufacture. You can check the meaning of all the numbers on car tyres here.
2. Keeping Your Air Filter Clean
When air filter is full of dirt and dusts, it gets clogged. This chokes off air and creates a condition that is called a “rich” mixture – too much gas being burned for the amount of air, which both wastes gas and causes the engine to lose power.
Experts have shown that replacing a clogged air filter can improve gas mileage by as much as 10 percent. This is not small at all.
3. Check And Replace Spark Plugs
You need to check your spark plugs regularly and replace them if they are dirty. Depending on your type of car, you can have spark plugs ranging from four to eight. Sparking of plugs result in a lot of heat, electrical and chemical erosion. A dirty spark plug causes misfiring and that wastes fuel.
4. Fix your own driving habits too
Yes, you too can contribute a lot to fuel wastage. Idling gives you 0 miles per gallon, please avoid it. Turn your engine off if you are going to be stopped in traffic for 15 seconds or longer. If you park your car waiting for someone, turn off the engine. I have seen people leave the engine on while waiting for people, you can save fuel by turning it off.
5. Don’t carry Stuffs About
You should avoid carrying unnecessary items in the booth of your car, especially if they are heavy. If you are not a delivery guy, why waste fuel carrying loads. I have a friend that is guilty of this. He’d get 25 to life if this was a crime. Do you know that an extra 45kg in the trunk reduces a typical car’s fuel economy by 1-2 percent.
6. Car Maintenance As It Affects Fuel Economy
Regularly changing your motor oil can also help save your fuel. Dirty oil can reduce fuel economy up to 1.6km per 3.79Liters!
Take your vehicle for regular schedules brake inspections and maintenance as dragging brakes can waste car fuel.
These tips will help you save considerable fuel if you follow them and adjust your driving habits too.
Cited from: http://www.infogoons.com/2015/01/little-known-car-fuel-wasters-and-fuel-saving-tips/ I guess u can use this same principle for generators too? Cos my gen dey consume fuel these days. No mind me, this article is helpful. |

Or jakpa road or airport road?.
Left for me, I will vote GMB so d politics of delta will change n Uduaghan can be brought to book n justice for stealing n diverting project to his wife n brother in law, amaju.
Tell me how much was budgeted n signed 4 d renovation of d warri stadium n how much was spent, den tell me how much akpabio used in buildin his own stadium.
Plssss don't com here n write non sense like we don't live in warri/ delta. If its delta, we want change. Another person is reporting from another part of the state. The same Ibori left the state is the same way Uduaghan left with almost a better Revenue than Ibori. He capitalised in embarking on a project and doing it half way. Ughelli- Asaba road has been same way since it was commissioned 4yrs ago. The stadium in Asaba has been same way, now hoodlums have started building shanties around the stadium. All he could do was to give one silly excuse for not refurbishing the stadium. The Asaba international airport is half way completed. At a time he claimed he need 84billion naira to pull down a hill abi na mountain in other to expand the run ways, as if they did not take a feasibility study before siting the airport at that location. Now how much is needed to build an airport? Uduaghan fear God na. |

It will not be well for the OP, Emmanuel and Roli Uduaghan in Delta. For 8 solid years, This short and womanising Governor did nothing in Delta state. His only achievement is removing the bump that he had on his empty. No road construction, no feasible projects. All he kept singing was "Delta beyond Oil" without any platform for such project. on a woking day, from Okpanam to Regina Mundi will take u 3hrs in that small Asaba. That white Elephant project he embarked upon at inter Bau round about is supposed to be at Ogbe ogonogo. Uduaghan and his team are idio..ts. Atimes u ask ur self if this our leaders read at all.

saasala: Do you think I was mad when I said I wouldnt get married? A man stands to gain nothing from marriage. You lose your freedom. She nags you to hell. You live your entire life to satisfy a woman. She suddenly hates sex, loses her pristine beauty and becomes a fat pig with saggy booobs and tasteless asss, your jokes are no longer funny to her, she doesnt like to go out for fun any more, she now hates picnics and the cinema. You can get more than enough what you tend to gain in marriage by remaining single: Free sex, free movement, you can even have a baby mama if you are so crazy about having a child, plus nobody will call you oloriburuku for being single unlike the females. Guys, dont get married. Think well before you cross that rubicon. Seun Osewa has known these facts hence his decision to remain single (Well, I guess). Why get married when you will end up losing your happiness, and probably divorce. As for me and my head, ama stay single for life ni o...and I dont even give a hoot about having kids. This life is messed up already, why bring another innocent child to participate in it. Think Brothers. Hmmm. Nice one |
Romance › Re: Why Do Women Ask For Favours During/After Sex by komek(m): 8:05pm On Mar 13, 2015 |
x9ja1960: Ok...am sure many G's have experienced this old trick.
My cousin was with his chic...well his side chic...not that he has a main chic sha Anyways, he was with this chic and after the first round, the girl started throwing charges. She started with how he is supposed to place her on a monthly salary of at least 30k and landed on the fact that she is traveling to her home state, so therefore needs money for transport.
My G being a badt gai, formed ear problem and proceeded to collect his 2nd round in the rising emotions. While they were taking a rest, she demanded a response to her request. My cousin started by wondering aloud why women always ask for something in return after having sex with a guy as though men must pay for a fun they both obviously shared in? She went quiet - a sign of gradual buildup of anger. My cousin continued anyways. He asked her if she was asking him to pay for sex...she replied no. He asked her that assuming she didn't come to see him that evening would she not have traveled...she didn't respond. To the salary placement of 30k, he reminded her that she was working and also well paid, so why should he place her on another salary especially since he has dependents...she gave no comment. Next she became very angry and started shouting that she is not ready for my cousin's stories...that he must give her that money o...that after all my cousin is the last born therefore she doesn't see why he should come up with excuses each time she asks him for money! At this point my cousin went quiet and simply added as a last shot...I am the last born therefore all my hustle should be surrendered to you abi...smh. She hurriedly left the bed and told him without mincing words that he must give her that money, whether he likes it or not...even if it means borrowing from somebody.
Sha she left afterwards and my cousin passed me the gist. We had a good laugh with the drama and wondered if she had just 5 guys giving her 30k monthly...she for don resign from work tey tey...lol. Come imagine say she now upgrad after a while in the biz and got just 5 guys giving her 50k monthly...levels for don change! We had a good laugh sha...women sabi turn guys to Sure-p (p for pay).
In the end nobody plan to become runs girl...na play play people dey take become bad players...hahaha Is she from IMO state? Any MOST Nigerian gurls especially in Lagos would want u to pay for sex some how. |
