See how useless the SU25s and SU27s are?. I stopped arguing these issues because I found some people were just stuck on some old doctrines of warfare and the 'durability' of soviet equipment. Some guys would even have called the Ethiopian Airforce stronger than Nigeria's because of SU27s.

Hello Ethiopia, sensors are everything. Buy ISR gear. Look for supply lines to the rebels and bomb them. Use special forces creatively.
Converting information from as many sensors as possible into a broad picture of the battle space is the only way to do modern warfare.
You would be able to dodge the flanking moves and the feints. See where the enemy is hiding and determine what his objectives really are.
People in glass houses should not throw stones.

You don't win wars solely with your air force. But you can wiin a war without an Air force. Just like you don't claim and control territory, just with your air force.

Boko ,ISWAP , Bandits are hit and run characterised insurgents relying on gorilla tactics. They are fluid and don't have permanent locations.

The Tigray have clear and defined by territory. And they are not doing hit and run. They are seizing territory and and are about to enter the capital of Addis Ababa and seize it.

They have conventional heavy weaponry and have seized thousands of Ethiopian army prisoners of war.

Boko haram, ISWAP, Bandits, etc have light weaponry and we are STRUGGLING can't even say we are winning.

The Ethiopian army has over 400 T72 tanks and over 2000 HUMVEES. Do you think under the circumstances the NA would have done much better.

I DO NOT .

You make a series of conclusions with reference to a conversation but you say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of what was discussed.

I've said it before, l actually spoke to Ovie directly about this many year's ago when he was at Liverpool fc and enquired from Lookman.

I didn't get my information from the media or nairaland. I could add l spoke to people in both the English FA as well as the NFF and players agents.

They paint a very different picture from what your attempting to present with misinformation, disinformation and mislead people here.

The NFF IMO have simply not carried out due diligence INTENTIONALLY for reason known to themselves.

I gave the example of Zaha a much more controversial application to change allegiance which was laced with animosity. That not withstanding the application was concluded in the affirmative in less than 4 weeks.

You are clutching at straws, FIFA processes are very clear.

AFCON 2022: Rohr hints at inclusion of Lookman and Ejaria in Super Eagles team
pulse.ng
Ademola Lookman and Ovie Ejaria may be included in the Super Eagles squad for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.

Lookman
Lookman
The Super Eagles of Nigeria may soon get some reinforcements in attack with the introduction of Leicester City's Lookman and Reading's Ejaria.

Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr is already looking beyond the ongoing World Cup qualifying series and ahead to the difficult task of putting together a team for the 2022 AFCON, which will take place in Cameroon.

In an interview with Elegbete TV, the German manager revealed some new faces may be part of the team to Cameroon, despite not participating in AFCON Qualification.

Rohr hinted that midfielder Ejaria and winger Lookman have a chance of being included in the final team to the 2022 AFCON.

According to the 68-year-old, both Ejaria and Lookman, who have represented England at youth level, have expressed their desire to switch international allegiance.

The Nigeria Football Federation, led by Amaju Pinnick are working on it, and Rohr expects a resolution as soon as possible.
When Nigeria is concerned , some things just defy rational.

Does it take three years to process a change of allegiance with FIFA .

It took Wilfred Zaha a very high profile player , who had already played for England senior national team. A mere 3 weeks plus to complete his change of allegiance with FIFA. This was with objections from the English side and huge amounts of negative press.

How long did it take Declan Rice to move from Ireland to England.

But not Nigeria, and some will try to justify the unjustifiable, it's CRASS INCOMPETENCE and possibly the issue's of Uncle Egunje.

Both of these players presented themselves Lookman and Ovie to play for Nigerian U17. But were somehow classed as not good enough hmmm huh huh Why

More of the video just show shooting and attack which we did not see who they where attacking. Some involved blasting of some equipment. And some show our 6x6 apc seize in mainko attack. The last part show iswap showing us the over 200 men and 23caanon weapon . brought from Libya most of those fighter are dead. Including the reconiss vehicle seize from iswap early this year. The military high command should not deploy solider to a location which repelling and attack is heard deploying solider in he middle of Forest is death sentence with situation awareness. Commander of battlion should be giving necessary background training on technical withdraw do not withdraw when you equipment are good it increase the armor of you enemy . If the military equipment is bad the military should work on recovering bad and damage vehicle from the battlefield. . Special operations should increase in lake Chad region down to Niger and Chad republic. Niger republic is the main problem iswap biggest base is station toward that country
I find it troubling and even bewildering.

Any wheeled or tracked vehicle that the enemy somehow ,( should NEVER HAPPEN) acquires . It immediately becomes a Trojan horse.

Hidden communication equipment will give you precise location movement and spatial positions of the enemy.

At the right time with precision guided munitions you obliterate the entire Area and those around it. Meanwhile you have gathered very valuable intel.

I think the phenomenon is cultural , you assume your Lecturer is all knowing and you know NOTHING and therefore when you get taught rubbish you think it's TRUE.

But then many don't bother to know by reading, studying engaging in productive interactions that will increase their knowledge and capacity by association. NO they remain in the Bliss of lgnorance.

Years ago I was at doing an MSc at a Russell group university, Business School.

In the Lecture theatre my Professor he was giving a lecture and I felt his position and view point was wrong. l voiced out my substantiated opinion, he promptly stepped down from the podium and asked me to take the Lecture which l did. Saying you seem to know more than me on this occasion.

Not long after I was offered a PhD scholarship and a lectureship at the university.

The point I am making is simple , if you lack knowledge get some and don't assume someone is ALL KNOWING and you know NOTHING.

The university’s spokesman, Habib Yakoob, confirmed the development, saying the victims are about six in number.

Gunmen on Tuesday morning struck at the staff quarters of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) and abducted a professor of Economics, Obansa Joseph, two of his children, among others.

A source and resident of the quarters, who pleaded anonymity, the gunmen invaded the senior staff quarters at Giri in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at 1 a.m on Tuesday and operated for about an hour.

The names of the professor’s two children who were also abducted could not be confirmed as of the time of filing this report.

PREMIUM TIMES gathered that the other victims included those who were simply recognised by the source as “Barrister John, Fidelis and Mallam Sambo.”

The university’s spokesman, Habib Yakoob, confirmed the development, saying the victims are about six in number.

“Yes, I just confirmed that the information is true. Apart from the professor and his children, a non-academic staffer was also involved. They are about six victims,” Mr Yakoob said.

He, however, added that security operatives have been mobilised to secure their freedom.

“They are on their trail,” the spokesman said on the phone.

The victim, Mr Obansa, is described as a “distinguished economist of repute”.

He is currently a sitting Professor of Economics at the university and a Visiting Professor of Economics at Veritas University, also in Abuja.

Mr Obansa is an alumnus of University of Abuja and University of Lagos, whose research interest includes Health Economics and Quantitative Economic Analysis.

He has published extensively in reputable national and international journals and has served in several management and Administrative capacities within the University of Abuja.

As of the time of filing this report, the FCT Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, had yet to respond to phone enquiries concerning the attack.

Virtually all parts of the country is currently witnessing worsening insecurity and spike in crimes as security operatives battle to halt the surge.

Different strokes for different folks!. The VT4 is the best option for us. It is a 3.5 generation tank. Not your regular 3rd generation tank.

Okay. So you got better battlefield understandinghuh
Langweilig undecided
Let me use a simplistic analogy.

I need to transport 1000 people from Lagos to Ikang in Cross River state . The road is deplorable muddy and flooded in many sections.

A 4x4 is absolutely essential, l then buy the best off-roade vehicle A Range Rover Autobiography supercharged for over $145,000 @, but just one vehicle.

Or I could go out there and buy 20 used 2010 onwards Chevrolet Suburban LTZ 4x4 each able to carry 8 passenger in comfort.

Which one best meets the required need and is more effective in solving the problem.

The RR is better and much more comfortable and even better off road, but it’s not best value and best use of limited resources.

How big are our problems in the NE , how big is the land mass of the NE bigger than some countries. And how many VT4 Chinese ( questionable quality and reliability) MBT’s did we buy huh huh Not more than 25 if that .How much do they cost $4 million or thereabouts. That my friend is a drop of water in the ocean essentially.

Am I going up against other MBT’s my main threat is IED’s , HMG mounted Technicals and Rpg7. That is what I am trying to mitigate against. Therefore I should create the infrastructure to envelop, enclose and contain my threats.

You can pick up refurbished with thermal imaging target acquisition T72 tanks from as low as $100K or as high as $400K for some of the Ukruainian models.

But we can retrofit our ourselves it’s not rocket science. That means one VT4 gets us 20 T72 ‘s and 20 gets us 400 T72’s

Is there anybody who thinks if we had 400 T72 MBT tanks that this war would not be close to over, with proper battle field strategy .

That’s my rational based on efficacy and best use of resources for greatest impact. Below a YouTube video about the T72 in case some gave forgotten what it can do.

First of all your assertion is ASSUMPTIVE .

To say Awoniyi's exclusion is anchored on Ighalo inclusion is not an established fact.

Ighalo has been a consistent and continuous performer over time. He is still an outstanding performer in this obscure " get rich quick" questionable quality Arab league.

People practice blatant double standard and favouritism here without be restraint.

Awoniyi is doing excpetionally well in the HERE and NOW but has not been consistent over the year's. Nonetheless, on current form he should ABSOLUTELY be invited.

On the other hand look at the form of KC he has scored one goal all season. Prior to last season where he literally woke up from the dead he has been abysmal.

Some will no doubt argue that he has done well in the SE. when called.

My view is how much better can Awoniyi perform if he is given the same opportunity as well as Ighalo.

Victor first outing at the AFCON was abysmal but his club form got him back in. Now he has opportunity, is he the best striker in the SE , that's a never ending debate.

AFCON can be very physical and Awoniyi and Ighalo have those attributes.

This is the problem. At national team level there are better players. Club form does not transform to the national team every time. This is because if style of play. Onuachu fits a particular style of play we don't have in the national team and Simon switches off when playing for us.
We need players who play well for us and not just their club. They are different things. Some players simply don't fit into certain formations or play well in certain teams and Moses Simon and onuachu don't fit into our teams right now.
Look, if you study maurinho and guardiola well, they only go for players that fits into their style of play and not necessarily the best players. Club form is good but overrated. Samuel kalu seems to fit into our national team than Moses simon. Don't get carried away with club form. Club form only matters if you can translate it into the national team
How good a player is open to never ending debate.

But in selecting the best players, we should still be giving opportunity to those who are deserving in the HERE and NOW.

Your club form gets you noticed and that is the basis for national team selection. Can you transfer your club form to the national team is the next challenge.

Onuachu has been outstanding in the Belgium league 9 goals from 8 games is not to be laughed at. Yes the league is not the most competitive, 13th in Europe is not great.

Why has he not been able to use his obvious attributes. Very simple most of our wing backs and wingers simply cannot cross the ball to save their lives.

The problem is not Onuachu but the team not playing to his strengths.

The Russians could have gotten the distress signal first and might have communicated their readiness to help with naval HQ though that isn't necessary so far the Nigerian navy was aware of their presence in Nigeria's EEZ. It could have also been that it was NN that got the information first and knowing there is a naval vessel close to the scene inform the Russians and solicit for their help. There are videos and pictures of the NN doing something similar on this thread. NN has also rescued vessels outside of Nigeria's EEZ several times.
You completely digressed.

I responded to the false misinformation that the rescue did not take place within Nigerian territorial waters, very simple and concise.

You have created a series of questions and retorts that have absolute ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the subject l addressed.

BUT WHY huh huh huh huh huh huh
