WIKE VS NIGERIAN NAVAL OFFICERS

What does the law says?

We may be happy that Wike met his match today.

We may even say, dem serve am the food of intimidation wey him sef dey serve others

But, regardless of our personal opinion The law is not emotional and will never be

Under the law, a military officer does not have the right to intervene in land dispute matters. Talkless of the stopping a Minister from inspecting a Land.

Under the Land Use Act, Land ownership belongs to the Governor of the State, of which Wike is equivalent to in the FCT.

Land disputes are civil cases and even the Police doesn't have the right to intervene, until there is a crime, like fighting

The basic responsibility of the Nigerian Military, is to defend Nigeria from external aggression.

Maintain the territorial integrity and secure the borders.

Suppress insurrection and act in aid of civil authorities to restore order (under specific conditions and Presidential directive only).

Any attempt by a military officer like what we saw today, to assert jurisdiction or forcibly intervene in a non-military land dispute is unlawful and an abuse of power.

That Military Officer and who ever sent them on that mission, needs to face punishment for acting outside their legal jurisdiction.

It is an insult to our democratic ruling, to have military officer sent to protects ordinary Land.

A civil case for that matter, o no

Ignorance of the law is no excuse

There are way too many ignorant online posters and uninformed people on the street level putting up puerile and selective reasonings in support of indiscipline by military personnel because Nyesom Wike is involved. Later on or down the road when the military indiscipline is TURNED on them (like the ruthless BANEX Plaza invasion episode of about 3 years ago via a military invasion of that Plaza), they would start shouting on social media for help to rescue them.

I doubt if you aware the same scenario happened to Sanwo Olu and Police officer.

Meanwhile, the 2 scenarios are different, why the senior military officer came on his own to disobey traffic rules, the navy here was posted there by higher superior officer, it's Wike that is not supposed to be arguing with low ranking officer that far below him, he supposed to leave there or call higher authority to order them to leave the place, but since he is egoistic, he wanted to force and he was degraded.
I remember that Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu encounter with that Police officer as well. You're right about the FACT that Wike shouldn't have argued with a low-ranking Naval officer BUT there was something the young Lt. Yerima said that triggered Nyesom Wike to unfortunately react the way he did by calling him a fool and the young officer then replied him, further triggering Wike whose major weakness is his TEMPERAMENT. Anger management and effective communication is URGENTLY needed for politicians, military people, and other professionals in different spheres of human endeavor.

I assume by now, Wike's office as the FCT Minister is now in official touch with the higher military authorities to resolve this issue and more. Sometimes, SILENCE can be a highly effective method of communication to de-escalate volatile situations.

ALTERNATEID:
He should be disciplined immediately for professional misconduct. His behavior was completely disgraceful and unacceptable. In a democracy, the military take orders from the civilian government and not the other way round.
True that.

A lot of the random posters here are rambling on while irresponsibly praising this young Naval officer without realizing that they are encouraging outright indiscipline in the military. It's what Lt. Yerima said that triggered Nyesom Wike who is known for his volatile temperament while the young officer kept on replying him.
BUT the famed, transformer of the FCT (Nyesom Wike) too has to learn to comport himself so that the tables are NOT turned against him by uninformed public opinions and a section of the media whenever he loses his temper.

Both Lt. A.M Yerima and Wike didn't communicate effectively (or with emotional intelligence). Both of them are guilty to varying degrees of being "egotistic" or not being self-aware in their communication as can be seen in the screenshot and the video.

However, Nyesom Wike is the FCT Minister and should have been accorded that respect by the young military men. He is like a State Governor overseeing the administration of the FCT.

I still remember how the former Governor of Lagos State Babatunde Raji-Fashola got a senior Army officer arrested for using the BRT lane. The officer even had to come out of his vehicle and saluted Babatunde Raji-Fashola in a photograph that went viral online. Period.
RomanceRe: I Love Physical Attraction- Lady Shares The Reason Why She Can't Marry Old Man by Konquest: 7:00pm On Nov 11, 2025
malali:
Men who marry women 40 years younger are often not the confident elders they pretend to be. Many of them simply cannot hold their own with women who match or surpass them in wealth, success, intellect, or emotional maturity.

So they target girls who are just starting life, girls still taking instructions from their mothers, because that is the only space where they can feel powerful.

Senator Chinedu Christian Nwokolo is a perfect example.
The moment he faced the first real disagreement with his young wife, he rushed to the internet to label her a drug addict and bipolar, while using state power to harass and arrest her family members.

And people are arguing about whether Regina is the problem?
No. The real issue is a 70-year-old man who has no emotional toolkit for handling marital conflict, so he fights like a bruised ego instead of a husband and father.

One flaw in our culture is this blind worship of age, forgetting that foolishness also grows old.

I’m decades younger than Nwokolo, yet if my wife and I had a misunderstanding, I would never drag her mental health or integrity through social media. There are lines a man with self-respect simply doesn’t cross, especially when she is the mother of your children.

Being older doesn’t make you wise.
Being the bigger person does.
Ned Nwoko is in reality 65 years of age as of 2025 NOT 70.

He celebrated his 59th birthday in 2019. I saw a post where this girl he's currently having a public spat with wished him a Happy 59th birthday on her Instagram just under 1 hour ago.

Ned himself granted a media interview in 2020 with Punch where he said he prefers marrying women who are young and are virgins. I initially thought he developed that preference because he is a Muslim... Ned Munir Nwoko being his name.

However the 24-year-old girl has confessed that she indeed was using drugs before having sex allegedly with the knowledge of Ned and went on an online rant claiming that Ned's other wives use drugs as well.

They were obviously advised legally to falsify the age by someone who knows the law and its implications. People like Regina and her mother don’t know or understand such laws especially where money is involved. Ned is a lawyer. So, I am not jumping to conclusion or accusing but, it’s clearly a deliberate attempt to escape potential consequences both home and abroad.
Absolutely well said.

Just a quick one to buttress your points ABOVE before I sign off, INFACT I read here on a Front Page NL thread today that Ned's PA indicated [with the permission of Ned and in response to Regina's latest claim of being 17 years of age when she supposedly got "married" in 2019] that Regina was 19 when she got married BUT that's a PURE lie because it's ONLY Regina's father's 2019 phone interview which is FAR CREDIBLE that can be trusted here.

I know full well that her father too is a lawyer because I read the FULL text of that 2019 phone interview right here on NL about 4 years ago. The man was very specific about the day, month and year his daughter was born. He further mentioned the FULL names of the hospital and the area of Lagos State (Alapere, Ketu) where she was born on October 10, 2001.

Anything different from her biological father's TRUE 2019 account is deliberate disinformation. Just as I stated, I noticed on another Front Page NL thread yesterday that Regina finally confessed her TRUE age of 17+ years when she got married in 2019, BUT she ALSO stated that it WASN'T a REAL marriage she and Ned had!

I for one have "zero-tolerance" for people who falsify their ages or forge their credential in order to game the system or get employed.
As the situation stands, the 24-year-old is already fed up and doesn't want to be with Ned Nwoko again. Therefore both of them should properly get a divorce, plan on the monthly upkeep of their 2 young sons, and move on with their lives.

It's left for Ned himself to reorder his life by reconciling with his biological siblings, his children and members of his mother's community (which he adopted as his hometown along with the Nwoko surname which is his mother's family name) because his biological father is NOT originally from that town.

Cheers.

She was born in October, she got married in May. She was 17 when she married him.

Remember they are lying that she’s 25 this year to cover up that 6yrs ago when she married, she was 18, turning 19. It’s not true, she’s 24 this year.
@2mch, I'm on the same page with you here.

She got "married" in May 2019 at the age of 17 years and 7 months... That's a clear 5 months short of her 18th birthday on October 10, 2019. It's indeed a violation of the law BECAUSE 18 is the official marriage age. [This is why the retired boxer, Tyson Fury's 16-year-old teenage daughter who her boyfriend recently proposed marriage to in late 2025 CANNOT get married until she turns 18. Anything BELOW that is a violation of the British marital laws].

Indeed, you're absolutely right. She's just 24 in 2025 NOT 25. Even right on her Wikipedia profile, October 10, 2000 is FALSELY listed as her real month, day, and year of birth and it was deliberately planted there.

One thing I found out since 2019 is that this girl (and her mum to some extent) exhibited dodgy behaviors by planting various white lies to deceive the public about Regina's real age. There's a famous Yoruba proverb, "Efin ni Iwa" which emphasizes that "Character is like smoke which CANNOT be covered." That says a lot about Regina.

"Efin ni Iwa."
"A person's true character, or attitude, is impossible to hide for long, as it will eventually become apparent to others."

I appreciate your feedback.
TravelRe: US To Deny Visa To People With Diabetes Heart Disease Other Chronic Illnesses by Konquest: 3:27pm On Nov 11, 2025
malali:
Foreign nationals seeking to immigrate to the United States could now be denied visas and green cards based on pre-existing chronic health conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, under new guidance issued by the Trump administration.
The directive, which significantly expands the criteria for who is deemed a potential "public charge," has been sent by the State Department on to US embassies and consular offices worldwide.

A cable sent by the State Department to visa officers instructs them to flag applicants whose medical conditions could require "hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of care." The list of conditions cited includes, but is not limited to cardiovascular diseases; respiratory diseases; cancers; diabetes; metabolic diseases; neurological diseases; and mental health conditions.

The guidance also specifically advises officers to consider conditions like obesity, noting that it can lead to costly complications such as asthma, sleep apnea, and high blood pressure. All these chronic illnesses are now being assessed as potential indicators that an individual might become a future financial burden on the United States. The policy shift, revealed on Thursday, is one of the most aggressive moves in the administration’s broader immigration crackdown, effectively linking an applicant’s health status to their eligibility for entry.

It was not immediately clear if the directive applies to tourist and student visas. While it technically applies to all visa applicants, including those seeking non-immigrant visas for tourism (B-1/B-2) and studies (F1), it is expected to be primarily used for those seeking to permanently reside in the US.

As things stand, tourist visa applicants are required to demonstrate they have sufficient financial means for their trip; they intend to leave the US at the end of their authorized stay; and they will not become a "public charge" during their temporary visit.

At the heart of the new guidance is a stricter interpretation of the "public charge" rule—a century-old immigration provision designed to exclude those likely to become primarily dependent on government assistance. While health screenings have always been part of the visa process, traditionally focusing on communicable diseases like tuberculosis, the new directive vastly expands the list of conditions to be considered.

Immigration advocates warn that the new rules grant consular officers, who lack medical expertise, sweeping authority to make subjective judgments about an applicant's long-term health since no one is expected to disclose their ailments in visa applications.

Under the new framework, visa officers are explicitly instructed to determine whether applicants have the financial resources to cover the costs of such long-term medical care "over his entire expected lifespan without seeking public cash assistance or long-term institutionalization at government expense."

Immigration experts contend that this policy will dramatically reduce legal immigration for older applicants and those with common chronic illnesses. Effectively, the policy will favor the wealthiest and healthiest applicants.

Foreign AffairsRe: Chinese Official Threatens To Behead Japanese Prime Minister, Sanae Takaichi by Konquest: 12:50pm On Nov 11, 2025
BlackViper:
A Chinese official threatened to behead the Japanese prime minister after she suggested Japan could become involved in a war over Taiwan.

Sanae Takaichi, the Japanese leader, said Chinese military action against Taiwan, such as a blockade, could trigger a “survival-threatening situation”, which could force Japan to become involved.

In response, Xue Jian, China’s consul general in Osaka, threatened to “cut off a dirty neck without a moment of hesitation” in a post on X along with a news article citing Ms Takaichi’s comments.

“Are you ready for that?” he added, followed by an angry-face emoji.

The Chinese diplomat also shared several posts written by other people, including one which said that if Japan were to attack Chinese forces, “it would immediately provoke a counterattack from China”, and if Ms Takaichi wants to “casually talk about initiating war as if it’s nothing, the country is finished”.

Minoru Kihara, Japan’s top government spokesman, told reporters on Monday the post was “extremely inappropriate”.

He said Japan’s foreign ministry and the Japanese embassy in China lodged a protest and asked for the post to be deleted.

The post is no longer visible on Mr Xue’s official X account.

Lin Jian, China’s foreign ministry spokesman, said on Monday that the country had lodged a serious protest with Japan over Ms Takaichi’s comments, claiming attempts by Japanese officials to “meddle on cross-strait affairs” would cause serious damage to China-Japan relations.

Ms Takaichi stood by her comments on Monday when asked in parliament to clarify her position.

“Although I did state a number of possible scenarios, I also said the government will make a comprehensive judgment on whether the situation constitutes a ‘survival-threatening situation’ taking into account all information,” she said.

Beijing maintains it has sovereignty over Taiwan, which the government in Taipei firmly rejects.

Most Japanese leaders have chosen to stay away from the hot-button issue to avoid confrontation with China.

Japan is one of Taiwan’s closest neighbours, with its closest island less than 70 miles away, and hosts more than 50,000 US troops, which experts have referred to as the “tip of the spear” if the US were to come to Taiwan’s defence.

The initial comment by Ms Takaichi on Friday was made in response to a question about what would be considered a survival-threatening situation.

Ms Takaichi said a line of Chinese ships around Taiwan would not fall into that category, but if Beijing carried out a naval blockade while fighting was taking place, that would constitute a survival-threatening situation and Japan’s Self-Defense Forces would be sent in to offer support.

Since Mr Xue’s post on Saturday, many in Japan, including the country’s ambassador to Australia, have called for him to be designated a persona non grata and expelled from the country, claiming the post was “excessively rude”.

George Glass, the US ambassador to Japan, also responded to Mr Xue’s social media post, saying it was “time for Beijing to behave like the ‘good neighbour’ it talks repeatedly about – but fails repeatedly to become”.

China’s ministry of foreign affairs criticised Ms Takaichi earlier this month for meeting with Taiwan officials on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in South Korea.

DyshApp:
Senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko, has spoken out on the recent allegations circulating online regarding his marriage to Nollywood star Regina Daniels, land grabbing claims, and his political reputation.

In a statement released by his office’s Communication/Technical Action Team in Abuja, Nwoko claimed that a group he described as the “pull-down-Ned” gang has been after him for years and is now using the alleged marital crisis between him and Regina to ruin his image locally and internationally.

According to him, accusations of land grabbing in his hometown are completely false. He explained that the land was legitimately allocated for the establishment of the University of Sports, a project he insists is benefiting the community.

He said:
“The talk about me grabbing land in my hometown is false and unfortunate. I made a genuine offer of payment for the land to establish the University of Sports. Anyone seeking progress in our society is
usually attacked by their own people.”

Nwoko also alleged that some individuals were exploiting Regina Daniels’ health struggles for political reasons, claiming she has a history of substance use and bipolar disorder, which he says was known before their marriage.

He stated:
“Those exploiting her current condition to settle old scores will face justice. If she had any credible allegations against me, she would have said so by now. All these stories are fabricated to damage my reputation.”

Nwoko further clarified the controversy about Regina’s age at the time of their marriage. He emphasized she was 19 years old, not 17, when they got married, adding that the marriage was conducted openly with her family’s full consent.

According to him:
“Our customs do not condemn polygamy. I married her honourably and treated her with dignity. This current smear campaign is purely political blackmail to stop my progress as a Senator.”

He described Regina as a “weak point” being used by his political enemies to attack him.

https://punchng.com/my-enemies-using-reginas-condition-to-blackmail-me-nwoko/

Is this political witch-hunt or damage control?
There's NO smear campaign or political blackmail. Ned Nwoko simply made some bad choices along the way which he can easily undo.

NO side is totally blameless in this marital saga gone wrong. However, the still mentally immature Regina has indeed confirmed that she was using drugs with the knowledge of Ned for sex and further alleged that Ned's others wives used drugs as well. What kind of hard drugs? We don't know yet.

There has been a campaign that the British Museum should return looted Benin and Ife bronzes. However, the museum has refused to return any of the looted African artwork because they claim that Africans cannot maintain them. This has drawn intense anger from many Africans.
That's a condescending and asinine response from the British Museum. The British just want to keep making money out of those artifacts from visiting tourists to London.

With the adoption of global standards in facilities management and best practices, these artifacts to be located in the Royal Museum will be properly maintained.

1) Some European countries, including Germany, announced that they would return looted Benin artwork to Nigeria.

2) The Federal Government of Nigeria had been lobbying for the return of the priceless artwork and these countries signed an agreement with the Federal Government (represented by ministers).

Germany Returns 1,000 Benin Bronzes To Nigeria Amid Frustrstion At Britain

3) A dispute broke out over where the artwork should be kept. Both the Edo State Government and the Oba of Benin lobbied to get the artwork.

4) The Obaseki Administration announced plans to set up a "Museum of West African Art" (MOWAA).

5) This led to a dispute between the State Government and the Palace. The dispute was more of a cold war, no overt action was taken.

A) There was a rumour that the State Government wanted to strip the Oba of Benin of his chairmanship of the Edo State Council of Traditional Rulers. There was a claim that the government wanted to set up a separate council of traditional rulers for southern Edo State. The Governor later denied this.

B) It was alleged that the State Government witheld some funds to the Edo State Council of Traditional Rulers. Two Enigies (dukes or lower traditional rulers) complained that it was the Oba of Benin that refused to fund the council.

The Enigies wrote a letter to the State Government that it should create another council of traditional rulers (the Oba of Benin would not be the chairman of that council).

The people of the areas that the Enigies oversee wrote to the Oba of Benin to complain about the behaviour of the Enigies. The Oba of Benin then suspended the Enigies.

The Enigies sued the Oba and claimed that he had no power to suspend them (they said that only the government could suspend them).

There were rumours that the State Government had sued the Oba, but the Government denied this and said that they had no hand in the case.

6) President Muhammadu Buhari ordered that the artwork should be returned to the Palace/Oba of Benin. He said that the artwork was stolen from the Palace in the 1800s, so it should be returned there. The Oba of Benin went to the Aso Rock Villa to thank President Buhari.

This was also the reason why the Oba went to visit Buhari in Katsina after Buhari left office and it was also the reason why the Oba visited President Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa.

7) The Oba of Benin visited Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at Lagos House Marina and they both went to the John Randle Center at Onikan. The Oba announced that he planned to build a royal museum, the Benin Royal Museum (BRM) to house the returned artwork, so he came to see what they could learn from the John Randle Center for Yoruba Art and Culture.

8 ) There was an event at the Museum of West African Art in Benin yesterday. It was an opening ceremony and private viewing event. The European Union Ambassador to Nigeria, the French Ambassador, the Danish Ambassador and other diplomats were present. However protesters invaded the venue. They were chanting that they did not want Museum of West African Art, they wanted Benin Royal Museum. They were also chanting, "Obaseki, ole".

The police had to evacuate the diplomats and other dignitaries from the venue.

Whoa! I saw the pictures and a video of the European diplomats who were kicked out of that building. I hope those folks would not relay messages to their governments to withhold the return of the precious Benin artifacts to Benin because of this protest.

These 2 videos posted right here had where those White diplomats were chased out edited out.

The situation should be de-escalated as soon as possible so that those artifacts can be properly preserved at the Royal Museum, while generating income from visiting tourists.
CrimeRe: How To Report Fraudsters To EFCC: Your Complete 2025 Guide by Konquest: 9:56am On Nov 11, 2025
Iexclusivenews:
Stop scammers in their tracks, here's exactly how to get the EFCC to take action
That fraudster who scammed you could be behind bars in weeks. But only if you report them the right way.

Getting scammed hurts. Whether it's a fake investment scheme, romance scam, or online fraud, you want justice. The good news? Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is ready to help, if you know how to reach them properly.

This guide shows you exactly how to report fraudsters to EFCC and maximize your chances of getting results.

Why Report to EFCC?

The EFCC isn't just another government agency. They're Nigeria's main weapon against financial crime, recovering billions of naira annually and putting fraudsters behind bars. But they need your help to catch these criminals.

Every report you file:

Creates an official record of the crime
Helps EFCC track fraud patterns
Increases chances of recovering your money
Protects others from falling victim

Don't let embarrassment stop you. Fraud victims come from all walks of life, and reporting is the first step to justice.

5 Ways to Report Fraudsters to EFCC

1. Submit a Written Petition (Most Effective)

This is the traditional method and often gets the fastest response, especially for serious cases.
Where to submit:

EFCC Headquarters: No. 15A, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos
Any EFCC zonal office nationwide (check their website for locations)

What to include in your petition:

Address it properly: "The Executive Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)"

Your details: Full name, address, phone number, and email

The fraudster's information: Names (real or fake), phone numbers, bank accounts, social media handles, addresses—every detail matters

The story: Describe what happened chronologically. When did you first meet them? What promises did they make? How much money changed hands?

Evidence: Attach everything. Bank transfers, chat screenshots, emails, receipts, contracts, voice notes. Make copies—keep the originals.
What you want: State clearly that you want the EFCC to investigate and prosecute.

Pro tip: Type your petition, sign it, and make copies before submitting.

2. Email Your Report

For quick reporting or if you can't visit an office physically.
Email address: info@efcc.gov.ng
Subject line: Make it clear and urgent (e.g., "URGENT: Investment Fraud Report - N2.5M Stolen"wink

Email body: Use the same structure as a written petition. Attach all evidence as PDF or image files.
Response time: Typically 3-7 business days for acknowledgment.

3. Use the Eagle Eye App (Fastest for Online Fraud)
The EFCC's official mobile app makes reporting incredibly easy.
How to use it:

Download "Eagle Eye EFCC" from Google Play Store or Apple App Store
Register with your details
Click "Report a Crime"
Fill in the fraud details
Upload evidence directly from your phone
Submit and track your report

Best for: Yahoo yahoo scams, romance fraud, online investment schemes, and cryptocurrency scams.

4. Call the EFCC Hotlines

For urgent cases or if you need guidance before filing a formal report.
Hotlines:

0809 932 9999
0803 940 0000

When to call: If the fraud is ongoing, if you're being threatened, or if you need advice on what evidence to gather.

5. Walk Into Any EFCC Office

PoliticsRe: Residents Block Roads, Protest Over Extension Of Ibadan Circular Road by Konquest: 9:33am On Nov 11, 2025
professorPABX:
Why are they protesting? They are not ashamed of themselves. The problem is that most of them don't travel. They don't see the insult on Social Media. They should travel to South East and South South. They should travel to Kano and see things for themselves.

Some years back, Prophet DK Olukoya of MFM was preaching about SPIRITUAL Battles. He mentioned many things. He now spoke about problems associated with backgrounds and environment. He said there is a City, a prominent city, he said all the States created out of the City and other States created later are moving forward but the city development remain stagnated. My mind immediately went to IBADAN.

Seyi Makinde Wife is from Rivers State. If those people protesting travel to ONITSHA, ABA to see the courage of the IGBOS and visit Uyo they will return back to their houses. I was at Uyo in 1987. Uyo was like a Village compared to South West standard of that time. Only ABA Road was the major road in Portharcourt . Douglas & Wetheral are the only modern roads in Owerri. Now, those Cities are modern cities. Few months ago I went to Airport from Gate using old Ife Road, Sawmill, Alakia. I was very proud of Makinde as an Engineer.

Ladoja was a governor 2003 - 2007. These people want road designed 18 years ago to be left the same way by an Engineer Governor.
That is not possible. Houses were destroyed to build Adamasingba Stadium.
Succinctly stated.

I was living in PH while working in a major multinational oil and gas corporation in PH as of the 1990s and I visited Akwa Ibom State from PH with some colleagues for the FIRST time ever in 1999 through Aba right into the Aba-Uyo expressway then into Essien Udim LGA, etc. I can indeed confirm that the level of physical and infrastructural development back then in Akwa Ibom State and PH that you talked about in your post is very TRUE. The PH-Aba Expressway was indeed the ONLY major road in PH which we experienced massive traffic gridlocks on after the close of work every work week.

BUT as of 2023 when the former Governor Nyesom Wike left office, Wike especially had massively CHANGED the face of Port Harcourt city completely with his robust constructions of roads and bridges to decongest the horrendous PH traffic jams. As of 1999 when I FIRST visited Awka Ibom State as well, it was just an extremely rustic, rural place with bad internal roads and untarred roads.

Even in Aba, shockingly there were some female and male traders I saw openly selling consumables and food items right NEXT to the stinking, flies-infested, overfilled giant municipal waste disposal bins placed along the roads. It was scenes of mediocrity I saw in that Aba market around Ogbor Hill axis while headed for Akwa Ibom State. With the transfer of those oil wells from Rivers State and Cross River State to Akwa Ibom State after the court judgements, the now Senate President Godswill Akpabio began to furiously change the landscape and infrastructure of Uyo and other towns in Akwa Ibom.

Therefore the Oyo State Governor who fortunately is an Engineer and Ibadan indigene, MUST continue to gentrify Ibadan and other contiguous towns of Oyo State, BUT he MUST pay appropriate compensations to those whose property would be affected by this particular road construction or any other. Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN, had a vision far ahead of his time in the the early 1950s (when he was the Premier of the Old Western Region) hence he and his dynamic team massively transformed Ibadan's landscape with the FIRST modern stadium in Nigeria, the FIRST highrise building (Cocoa House) in Nigeria, the FIRST EVER Television station in Nigeria, even the Oluyole Industrial Estate in Ibadan, and the others such as the Ikeja Industrial Estate, the Iganmu Industrial Estate, the Ilupeju Industrial Estate, etc, which were ALL located in the Old Western Region under Chief Awolowo, before General Yakubu Gowon's government carved these areas out to form the new Lagos State on May 27, 1967 among the 12 new States he created out of the then 4 regions of Nigeria. The ONLY constant thing in life is change and Ibadan MUST continue to evolve down the road. Period.

Soludo is smarter, more intelligent and more courageous than you.

He has track record as CBN governor and his deliberate work to change the face of Anambra can be seen by everyone.

He has displayed maturity on national issues and his articles and journals on topical national issues serves as reference for governance and in academic forums.

Soludo and Umahi are on the league of their own when it comes to governance while Peter Obi trails far behind Obiano his successor

Edited: It is worrisome to see people comparing a 1st Class graduate of economics with 3rd class Philosophy graduate. Obi's outburst should have been replaced by congratulatory message and not bitter vituperation that exposes his weakness and pettiness.

Peter Obi to Soludo: "We’re Not in the Same League, I Left Division 1 Thirteen Years Ago!"

A sharp political jab from Peter Obi as he asserts his seniority and experience over Soludo, highlighting a clear divide in status and influence in Anambra politics. Obi claims he's been at a higher level long before, signaling a fierce rivalry and competitive tension ahead
