Sepukku:I have 5 minutes to spend here. The man Chief Michael Okechukwu "Adetshina," aka Okey Wawa (Anu ka Enyi) from Enugu state, Nigeria is a first-generation Igbo man in South Africa, who has served in different capacities in the Nigerian community, including the Ohaneze Ndigbo organization in the Western Cape, South Africa. What then is all the LONG epistle you have been typing on this thread for when you yourself have arrived at the same conclusions with me that he is Igbo based on the evidence in my prior posts on this thread page in the BOLDED details of your last post here? YOU arrived at the same conclusions with my first post that there was a case of travel and immigration FRAUD then why are you quoting me when you know FULL well that what I typed is correct? As a man who has a background of many years in advanced criminology-related issues, I dare say that your last paragraph is an attempt to DEFLECT issues below the radar and can also conclude that it has hints of tribal and ethnic sentiments. My convo with you will end here. |
Sepukku:Parts of your post are highly MISLEADING. I do strongly support your views against ethnic bigots but irregularities must be called out at the same time. The singer, David Adedeji Adeleke's son who unfortunately passed on in 2022 has a Yoruba name which is ADEDEJI in addition to the Ibo name he was given which is Ifeanyichukwu (Ifeanyi for short). Adedeji is Davido's Yoruba name hence the full name David Adedeji Adeleke who was born in 1992. His late son's FULL names are David Adedeji Ifeanyichukwu Adeleke Jr. The young singer's son's use of the name "Ifeanyi" was just a coincidence and was further perpetuated by the online media and DOESN'T mean he wasn't given a Yoruba name called Adedeji on the 7 the day after he was born in 2019 according to his Davido's Yoruba ethnic culture and traditions from Osun State. Osita Chidoka, Festus Keyamo, and many folks who have Yoruba mothers also have Yoruba names. The current Aviation Minister back in Nigeria, Festus Keyamo has a father who is of Urhobo ethnicity from Delta State while his mother is a Yoruba from Ogun State. Festus' Yoruba name is Adeniyi and he has NEVER hidden that fact from the media. https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/davido-son-dead-ifeanyi-adeleke-cause-arrests-b2214985.html https://www.nbcconnecticut.com/entertainment/entertainment-news/singer-davidos-3-year-old-son-david-dies-after-drowning-in-pool/2907109/ Second, an obvious case of criminality involving IDENTIFY THEFT in South Africa has unfolded right in front of the whole world and the SA authorities and law enforcement agencies have rightly taken up this case and will do more to unravel any immigration irregularities and examine every evidence with a fine brush. The man Chief Michael Okechukwu "Adetshina," aka Okey Wawa (Anu ka Enyi) from Enugu state, Nigeria is a first-generation Nigerian in South Africa, who has served in different capacities in the Nigerian community, including the Ohaneze Ndigbo organization in the Western Cape, South Africa. https://lagostojozi.com/jollof-x-amapiano-diary/the-nigerian-miss-south-africa/ Last BUT not least, I ONLY stated the obvious FACTS in the post that you claim is an "epistle." I do NOT pander to any irresponsible primordial ethnic sentiments but brought out the obvious FACTS here like any person such as me who has a background knowledge in Criminology and Intel gathering would do. I infact have very little patience for anybody who tries to engage in sophistry and DEFLECT issues when an obvious case of "identity theft" and "opacity" like this has unfolded right before the whole world thereby ridiculing genuine folks of Nigerian descent within the Nigerian Diaspora population centers of the world in South Africa, United States, the UK, Canada, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Germany, etc. |
Somandla:Your post is brilliantly stated WITHOUT sentiments. This 23-year-old girl's mother who is allegedly from nearby Mozambique has been accused by the SA Home Affairs Department of IDENTIFY THEFT just like you stated. Second, the father of the girl too certainly knows more about this forgery and ID theft issues because it's strange that out of all the 4 name combinations (Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina) that the girl uses, NON of the names is a Yoruba name despite the fact that some highly misinformed folks have been saying that the father could be a Yoruba. There is NO Yoruba man who is in a multicultural marriage or biracial long-term relationship that would NOT give a Yoruba name to his new born son or daughter. It's just the FACT and it cuts across other ethnicities in Africa and worldwide. Coincidentally, this 23-year-old girl was NOT the only Nigerian-South African that tried to contest for Miss SA finals, there were 2 of them. The second one who is running her Masters in a U.S. University, Felicia Modupe Lutendo Bajomo whose father is a South African-based Dr. Abiodun Sunday Bajomo (a licensed dental practitioner and Yoruba man from the West of Nigeria) and her mother is a real South African from the Limpopo region hence Felicia Modupe Bajomo's South African native name is "LUTENDO." The SA Home Affairs Department and law enforcement authorities have to interrogate Chidimma's father more on WHY he didn't give his daughter a Yoruba name like Dr. Sunday Bajomo did for his daughter by giving her the Yoruba name MODUPE which means "I thank you." if indeed the family surname name is "Adetshina" with a "T" which some are incorrectly trying to pass off as ADESINA (which is the correct Yoruba spelling) why didn't the father of the 23-year-old single mother of one child give his daughter even any Yoruba name? I dare say after further private investigations using advanced empirical strategies that the father of the supposed 23-year-old Chidimma is NOT a Yoruba man but from information unearthed which major media outlets have affirmed, he is an ethnic Ibo man from the East of Nigeria. This girl also has 2 Ibo names (Chidimma and Onwe), 1 English name (Vanessa), and the Adetshina name combinations which are completely WEIRD to re-emphasize the FACTS here! The name "ONWE" has NO meaning in any of the 11 South African languages or even in Mozambique. Chidimma and Onwe are CLEARLY Ibo ethnic names! The South African Intelligence Agencies will have to dig into the ODD identity of this man to find out why an ethnic Ibo man who is ORIGINALLY from Enugu State would bear the FAKE, obviously fabricated surname "Adetshina" which was got by adding the 2 letters "T" and "S" to the standard ethnic Yoruba spelling which is ADESINA. There definitely was a kind of illegal immigration racket that took place at the time that Chidimma's father who is the so-called Chief Michael Okechukwu "Adetshina," aka Okey Wawa (Anu ka Enyi) from Enugu State, Nigeria, first migrated to South Africa. Right BELOW is the link to a Website showing the attached picture of Chidimma and her father Chief Michael Okechukwu Adetshina, aka Okey Wawa (Anu ka Enyi) who is of IBO origin from Enugu State hence the Ibo names Chidimma and Onwe were given to his daughter. https://lagostojozi.com/jollof-x-amapiano-diary/the-nigerian-miss-south-africa/ Chidimma Adetshina was born and raised in Soweto by a naturalised South African mum and a Nigerian father, Chief Michael Okechukwu Adetshina, aka Okey Wawa (Anu ka Enyi) from Enugu state, Nigeria — a first-generation Nigerian in South Africa, who has served in different capacities in the Nigerian community, including the Ohaneze Ndigbo organization in the Western Cape, South Africa. https://lagostojozi.com/jollof-x-amapiano-diary/the-nigerian-miss-south-africa/ Right BELOW is the attached picture of Chidimma and her father Chief Michael Okechukwu Adetshina, aka Okey Wawa (Anu ka Enyi) who is of IBO origin from Enugu State. Iamgrey5:The semi-finals will hold on Friday, August 9, while the final is slated for the penultimate day of the athletics event, Saturday, August 10, 2024. The 27-year-old has been in great form in the run-up to the sports fiesta, running a season’s best and then world lead of 12.40s (0.9) at the Jamaican Athletics Invitational in Kingston in May. Before then, she had set the indoor record for the African 60m hurdles twice in January and February. In March, she won her third consecutive African Games title in Ghana, plus anchoring the women’s 4x100m to gold in Accra as well as the African Championships in Cameroon three months later. This season, she has competed in 17 events, which include the 60m, 100m, 100m hurdles, and the 4x100m relay. Amusan, a three-time (consecutive) Diamond League winner, two-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist, two-time African champion, and three-time African Games gold medallist, has participated in two Olympic Games (Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020). https://punchng.com/just-in-tobi-amusan-qualifies-for-100m-hurdles-semis-in-2024-olympics/ |

budaatum:@budaatum. Those were MAGA supporters in the Atlanta school hall crowd holding signs that read "Lyin Kamala You are fired" but the first two words were written in lighter colors so that created an "optical illusion" that fooled a lot of viewers. It's quite hilarious though. https://www.newsweek.com/kamala-harris-crowd-size-jd-vance-michigan-1936375 |
ednut1:Thanks for the heads up @ednut1. She didn't qualify because she came third and missed out on automatic qualification from her heat. Damn! It's sinking in now. She's 27 years of age right now and will be 31 as of the next Summer Olympics in 4 years time. Better luck next time to her but this would have been the right age to win that Olympic individual medal. These sport administration guys have to start investing in school sports again which is what we had back in Nigeria in the 1970s and we'll into the 1990s. The creme-of-the-crop of our top star athletes back in the day came from the high schools and Unis back then. I still remember back during the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics when Nigeria had Ajayi Agbebaku, Innocent Egbunike, Chidi Imoh, the boxer Peter Konyegwachi, the weight lifter Oliver Orok, etc, competing on the big stage and setting new African records in the process, that Olympic games gave these folks more exposure and a United States Uni education in form of scholarships. A better sports management team, sports infrastructure with sustainable funding would enable the younger ones to be better athletes again while winning back-to-back regular medals at the All African Games like you said yesterday to gain more confidence before going on to the intercontinental sporting stage. Enjoy the rest of your day. Cheers! |
cococandy:@Cococandy Let me step into the convo here. You made some valid points there but let me bring in some more CLARITY to this. First off, I'm NOT a Muslim but as a well-read and well-traveled man with a love for multicultural experiences, I can say that MOST predominant Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian, Somali, North African Arab and Arabian Peninsula Muslim immigrant communities in the UK, United States, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, etc, can NEVER fully integrate because they originally come from largely traditional societies. Their children and grandchildren born in the Diaspora communities end up acquiring STRONG British, French, Spanish or American accents but they remain LARGELY moulded by the conservative Islamic ideals of their parents and grandparents. Islam is a total way of life and culture for them, so, there can be NO full assimilation. Islamic ideals and Western Judeo-Christian and secular ideals don't mix but can ONLY tolerate one another. Second, the UK protests and subsequent arsons and lootings were most unfortunate and we're fueled by the spread of FAKE news on social media which FALSELY indicated that the 17-year-old boy who stabbed some younger kids to death in a salsa dance class is a Muslim immigrant. The identity of the boy wasn't released by the UK police because he is classified as a minor, but this fueled the rumors by right English wing groups online until things escalated into hooded White British gangs violently protesting, burning some mosques, other properties and looting stores. It turns out down the road that the 17-year-old boy by the name Axel Rudakubana who stabbed those 3 girls to death and injured others is a British-born teen with biological parents from Rwanda and he isn't even a Muslim or from a Muslim family! The spread of FAKE news on social media by right wing elements most of whom belong to members of the "English Defence League" is largely responsible for that misinformation. I have a former high school buddy who graduated years back from a top University in London (his father is Nigerian of Yoruba descent and mother is White English) who is a member of the English Defence League as well. So, the organization is welcoming of those with mixed English ancestries like my friend, but it could also suggest with evidence now pointing to them that some members have more radical ideologies. The UK government and police authorities have to move in very quickly to ensure that stricter social media laws are put in place to ensure that the owners of all the social media platforms monitor those who spread hate speech and disinformation. Mosques burned by the hooded mob in different cities must be rebuilt and hopefully those whose stores were looted by the hooded mob have some form of insurance cover. In the weeks (starting in late July 2024) leading right up to the so-called August 1, 2024 economic protests in Nigeria, I noticed strong upticks online in the spread of FAKE news on social media and then after the protests, arsons, and lootings of private businesses and stores belonging to business owners occured especially in the far North of Nigeria, and these were also being fueled by highly toxic, inciting FAKE news reports and videos on social media platforms including NL which are meant to fuel these tensions. During the lead up to Presidential elections and protests such as BLM in the United States as well, these hate speeches and subsequent violent tensions are fueled LARGELY by FAKE news driven by social media. So, it's very important for all governments around the world to IMMEDIATELY crack the whip and bring the activities of these social media platforms and their owners under stricter CONTROL. If NOT done, "the 3rd World War would inevitably be triggered by online FAKE NEWS" as CLEARLY stated by the iconic Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka during a British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) conference in Lagos a few years ago on the dangerous effects of fake news online. https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1930969/axel-rudakubana-accused-southport-killings/amp |

bobby007:Stop the irresponsible victimhood you are posting here! It makes a lot of you young male Ibos posting these random kinds of FALSE accusations and blackmails emotional weaklings! Your mind is playing tricks on you because of your overbearing behaviors and highly toxic thoughts you keep recycling in your heads. The Abeokuta-born Oluwatobi Ajayi, who is also a Mercedes Benz of Germany-trained owner of Nord Motors which is a vehicle maker with a factory based in Lagos and some folks around Nigeria also produce CNG vehicles and CNG conversion kits in Nigeria? Innoson is one of the players in the CNG space and that's very impressive. He already has CNG vehicle distribution locked down for folks in the South East for sure and hadls made inroads in other areas. Other CNG vehicle manufacturers such as NORD have recently supplied vehicles and buses to Ogun State and the link is right BELOW, so, they will know how to distribute those vehicles around Nigeria, so that folks can start enjoying the very cheap N200 per standard cubic feet of CNG fuel from NNPC CNG refill stations that have already been built starting with Lagos and Abuja since May 30, 2024. https://www.nairaland.com/8093140/ogun-state-government-purchase-cng NORD CNG buses and vehicle images attached right BELOW:
|
Macphenson:You are DISTORTING history here and spreading misleading information. Innoson himself CLEARLY stated years ago in a BOI video I saw at an award ceremony in London that "WITHOUT the Bank of Industry in Nigeria, there would be NO Innoson." The bulk of heavy financial investment that Innoson and Abayomi Ogundehin, (the brilliant U.S.-trained Engineer and owner of Proforce Defence industries in Ogun State who manufactured the first military MRAPs and armored carriers in Nigeria) got was from heavy financing with single digit interest loans from the Bank of Industry. Both of these men have stated this fact at different times. |
Biodun556:That's spot on. The focus must be more on the use of CNG fuel which costs N200 per standard cubic feet at the new NNPC CNG refill stations in Lagos and Abuja as seen in video and media reports since May 30, 2024. There's also gonna be less visits to the vehicle mechanics for costly monthly checks. CNG is way cheaper than PMS. Even Dangote Petrochemical Refinery refined PMS which will start in August 2024 will NOT be cheaper than PMS. So, whatever Dangote Petrochemical Refinery produces eventually will not be a loss but will be exported to other countries to earn massive FX for Nigeria. It's a win-win situation. |
fergie001:A lot of adjectives used by this dude in the video are very defamatory. Femi Gbaja is a U.S.-educated attorney, former Nigerian Speaker of the House of Reps, and now a Chief-of-Staff to the President of Nigeria. Chiefs-of-Staff worldwide are supposed to work behind the scenes most of the time to ensure that the daily itenary of a President goes smoothly. Second, I haven't heard or seen Femi Gbaja online for over 1 year now and that got me wondering since the beginning of August 2024 about whether he is fine. Gbaja too has to (in private) work with the President of Nigeria to ensure that all communication with the public are simplified and short, NOT with long speeches, and the benefits and break downs of the cost savings from the CNG fuel use should have been at the top of that speech that the Nigerian President gave on Sunday last week. The bullet points and BENEFITS of every project to reduce economic challenges and reduce hyperinflation must ALWAYS FIRST be listed out at the top of every speech. This is to capture the attention of those listeners who get very impatient with long speeches or who have short attention spans! The speech that President Tinubu read on Sunday last week which many Diasporan folks of Nigerian descent were also waiting to hear violated that BENEFITS or "what-is-in-it-for-me" sequence I listed here. The N200 per standard cubic feet of CNG gas currently being sold cheaply than PMS at the NNPC CNG refill stations in Lagos and Abuja should have been emphasized in that speech because a lot of Nigerians on the street level with "short attention spans" kept on saying that Tinubu did not talk about the lowering of fuel yet he did in that speech by speaking about the deployment of FREE CNG kits for all commercial vehicles belonging to the transport unions which would help to quickly LOWER the cost of transportation and food items by 60 percent. A grace period of 2 months to deploy these CNG fuels and lower the cost of transportation and food by 60 percent should have been included and emphasized in that speech by President Tinubu of Nigeria. These are the things that Femi Gbajabiamila and the communication strategists of the Presidency from the Minister of Communication and speech writers MUST work on to reduce tensions and connect with Nigerians on the street level. The recent extempore speech given by the VERY eloquent 60-year-old current Democratic Party Minnesota Governor Tim Walz when Kamala Harris introduced him was simply stellar, he connected with the folks in Philadelphia, and the United States, and worldwide by speaking to the human experience, connecting with the people and stirring up the feeling of hope and nationalism. It can be done by the Nigerian President Tinubu through the aid of the team of advisers such as Femi Gbajabiamila and more. |
Olachase:@Olachase, Mallam means a "scholar" and "Aboki" means "friend" in the Hausa language so it's not like calling them "mumu" or even an "ode' which in the Yoruba language means a daft person! You can call any Hausa person "Aboki na" which means "My friend" and he would NOT get upset. It's the tone of the voice that really matters when using the word "Aboki." If say it with a rough and condescending tone, then, it could be deemed aggressive and in bad taste just like if you use any other word in any language with a rude voice or tone. I hope that helps. |
OLAADEGBU:The tides have since changed. It's gonna be a FIRST-EVER Harris-Walz U.S. Presidency. Any other propaganda is fear projections from the "Weird Ones." It's full steam ahead for the Dems. P.S. 1stGenAmerican, pull over. Since these are your senior legal colleagues, I wanted to know your insights much earlier about the now 90-year-old Willie Brown and Kamala Harris' past relationship that the OP posted here. Based on past interviews that Willie Brown (the most influential African-American politician back in the 1980s and '90s) has granted, he spoke way too much in my opinion. Even Trump said Willie told him "bad things" about Harris. There are some intimate details from the past that ANY man should allow to slide so as not to complicate issues and project an emotionally weak image tbh. Not that I think it's going to stop Kamala Harris and the highly eloquent Gov. Tim Walz from winning the U.S. Presidential election and getting to the White House. |
1stGenAmerican:Indeed... These are momentous times in living memory. That "Harris-Walz" effect already kicked in like dopamine. ![]() On the other hand, 1stGenAmerican, as an EV owner yourself, I thought to share my already bookmarked vids with a you a few months back (in case you haven't seen them) to gain some quick insights. Fineman2:An 84 year-old-man. That's too old for the political position. |
Odingo1:You are deliberately spreading highly irresponsible falsehoods here! That's criminal misinformation from you and a distortion of Lagos history. There are NO indigenous Ijaws in Lagos State! The Ijaws you will find in Lagos are especially migrant fishing communities from especially the Bayelsa axis. (This is just like you have migrant Ilaje-Yoruba fishing communities from the oil and gas-rich Ilajeland in Ondo State living in Lagos for over 100 years now, or the Togolese and Benin Republic fishing settlements at Makoko where French language is mainly used to teach their children in those floating schools on the Lagos Lagoon that you see online). NOT even the iconic Isaac Jasper Adaka-Boro who led the first secessionist group in the 1960s or the iconic Chief Harold Dappa-Biriye of Bonny Island who attended King's College, Lagos Island and who is the father of Ijaw Nationalism ever claimed that Ijaws are indigenes of Lagos in their published books and speeches, NEVER! The Aworis, Ijebus, and Ogus are the only groups listed in the Lagos State creation gazette of 1967 when Lagos State was first created by General Yakubu Gowon's military goverment on May 27, 1967. The Aworis are proper Yoruba people. Aworis are a prominent sub-group of the Yoruba people and the family compounds from which their ancestors left Ile Ife many centuries back still exist and INFACT, all the Awori Oba of Lagos and Ogun States visited Ife just a few years ago to reconnect with their ancestral roots in Ile Ife. The videos of that visit to Ife by the Awori-Yoruba Oba's of Lagos and Ogun States are still on YouTube! Go and find out the meaning of the prefix "Awo" in AWORI, AWOLOWO, BABA AWO (Babalawo or Ifa priest) then you will know that the Awori name is a strong name among the Yorubas whose ancestors migrated centuries ago from Ife (Ufe) to what is now Ogun and Lagos States. Second, the Ogus are a subgroup of the Fon and Yoruba people. The Fon people are themselves a mix of Yoruba and Aja ancestries from centuries back. So, Ogus and Yorubas are relatives hence the reason why in a Tunde Kelani documentary interview I watched online that Tunde Kelani had with the Oba of Ajase (Porto Novo) in Benin Republic, the Oba of Ajase CLEARLY stated that the Ogus living in Ajase were allowed to stay with them years back because they are their relatives. Besides a lot of Ogus speak Yoruba in addition to the Ogu language so YOU don't need to stir up misinformation and unnecessary arguments while FALSELY saying that Aworis are not Yoruba... That's an insult to the entire Awori people (whose indigenous lands occupy 17 out of the 20 Local Government Areas of Lagos State and also significant LGAs in Ogun State. The Ijebus fully own and occupy 3 Lagos State LGAs out of 20 LGAs (Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki and Ajah). With this coming from you, your post further PROVES one of the bad character flaws or things Prof. Chinua Achebe observed and wrote about the overbearing attitudes of the Ibos in his last book before he passed on. The excerpt from the book is right BELOW: “I will be the first to concede that the Igbo as a group is not without its FLAWS. Its success can and did carry deadly penalties: the dangers of hubris, overweening pride, and thoughtlessness, which invite envy and hatred or, even worse, than can obsess the mind with material success and dispose it to all kinds of crude showiness. There is NO doubt at all that there is a STRAND in contemporary Igbo behavior that can OFFEND by its NOISY EXHIBITIONISM and DISREGARD for HUMILITY and quietness.” - Chinua Achebe |

ednut1:On the surface, it might seem like a near-absolute truth, but then the keen development of other sporting events where a lot of medals are won would help many countries to win more Olympic medals or other international sports medals. Swimming definitely is White dominated because of body structure and they start swimming pretty early. Oluwatobiloba "Tobi" Amusan won her heat yesterday with a fast time ofc12.49 seconds and she's now in the semi-finals of the sprint hurdles where she is the current world record holder with a time of 12.12 seconds. That's the power of CLEAR intentionality on her part because she has a strong belief in her abilities. She's definitely gonna win an Olympic gold medal... If NOT, she'll get a silver medal because there are up to 3 big dogs in her 100 meters hurdles specialty. |
Image123:You're the ONLY one who has spoken my mind on the historical FACTS so far right from page one of this thread. Other sports would bring more medals for many countries that have been playing second fiddle on the Olympic medals table. |
