zero8zero: Here is what he wrote on his official X handle A social media storm erupted after Rufai Oseni, a prominent Nigerian journalist and Arise TV anchor, expressed skepticism about the reported clearance of Nigeria’s debt by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
On May 8, 2025, Oseni posted on X, stating he was “yet to see a full release by IMF” on the matter, prompting a sharp reaction from Daddy D.O, an aide to President Bola Tinubu. Daddy D.O fired back, accusing Oseni of being perpetually miserable about positive news concerning Nigeria, adding, “May his bitterness never end.
The controversy stems from a Nigerian NewsDirect report on May 7, 2025, which claimed that the IMF confirmed Nigeria’s clearance of all legacy debts, a milestone hailed by IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva as a “critical turning point” for the nation’s economic trajectory.
Congratulations to Nigeria for finally exiting the IMF legacy debts. Absolutely brilliant effort on the part of those in charge.
Now, it's time to focus more on utilizing the huge gas resources of Nigeria because Nigeria is more of a gas nation than a crude oil nation. CNG fuel MUST serve as the epicenter for crashing the cost of transportation and foods by more than half the current cost for the benefit of all folks over there in Nigeria. This isn't rocket science. It's doable. Period.
Jman06: But they connive with their Nigerian "brothers" who see them as their own, accommodate them and provide them with men and materials to operate with.
The tendency of northern Fulani Muslims to accommodate these marauders from Futa jallon is the reason why our borders with Niger Republic and Chad are left so porous that anyone can just come into the country!
If you talk about tightening those borders today, it is same northern Fulanis that would go against such. That's a clear pointer to the fact that the Nigerian northern Fulanis have a hand in the terrorist activities of those herders!
Nicely put.
To put a final check on this foreign Fulani invasions and murders of indigenous Nigerian ethnic groups, Nigerians must from here on out NOT elect any Fulani person as the President of Nigeria otherwise they will protect there own since they are of the same bloodlines and they are never prosecuted. Nasir El-Rufai even gave millions of financial compensations to these foreign Fulani herdsmen who killed Southern Kaduna folks back in 2017 instead of using the Interpol to bring them to justice from Cameroon where they migrated from. He said this on Channels Television in February 2017 and the insidious interview is still online.
The Fulanis are a minority group of NOT more than 24 million people in the entire West African yet they persist in killing folks of Hausa, Yoruba, Kanuri, Ibo, and more who have larger individual populations than them.
I have seen up to 3 videos online of angry Hausa males and females outrightly rejecting the Fulani invasions and displacement of Hausas of their ancestral lands in Northern Nigeria by foreign Fulanis and the Hausas who are over 80 million in Nigeria and Niger Republic are tired of the minority Fulani domination of Hausas as Governors and Presidents because NO single Hausa man is currently a Governor and Hausas have NEVER produced a single President in Nigeria's entire history. Something is now brewing and leading to a change in the Fulani hegemony and power structure and this is why Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, Baba Ahmeds, etc, who are all minority Fulanis are running Helter skelter to form a dubious coalition to unseat the current President and get a Fulani back as President which is selfish of this minority group whose forefathers are foreigners. Indigenous Nigerians must be wise in NOT reelecting any Fulani for the next 20 years to avoid further destabilizations of Nigeria by cattle herders. Period.
ogododo: Herdsmen Responsible For Attacks In Benue, Plateau States Are Not Nigerians – Military Headquarters
The Defence Headquarters, Abuja, has blamed the recent wave of violent attacks in Benue, Plateau and other regions on foreign herders who have infiltrated the country through its porous borders.
The statement comes amid escalating concerns over continuous attacks by armed herders on farming communities.
Hundreds have been killed and thousands displaced, with many victims now in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps.
Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State had earlier attributed the violence to foreign herders exploiting the ECOWAS protocol on free movement to cross into Nigeria and terrorise rural communities.Travel guides
The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Markus Kangye, while speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday, stated that the identities, languages, and appearances of the attackers indicate they are not Nigerians.
“Well, when you hear them talk in some instances, you will be able to decipher whether these people are from here or not,” Kangye said.
“For instance, if I speak Hausa and my brother from the South East speaks Hausa, you’ll know that this Hausa is a borrowed one and Hausa language like any other language has different versions and intonations.”Travel guides
He emphasised the linguistic and physical differences of the attackers, noting, “The Hausa language we speak in Nigeria is different from that of Mali, Central African Republic, and Ghana.”
Kangye added that beyond language, their physical appearance is a giveaway.
“So when we arrest these herders and terrorists from the way they speak, it is clear and even from their hair, you will tell that they are not from Nigeria,” he said.
“I think the only community in Nigeria that has hair similar to the Shuwa in the Sahel region is probably the Shuwa Arabs in Borno State, but they don’t even have the same.”
Kangye acknowledged that while some Nigerian herders had been involved in farmer-herder conflicts, the most severe violence had been perpetrated by foreign elements.
“There are some herders that are Nigerians that also get involved in the process of rearing their cows. Then they encroach into these farms and then before you know it conflict ensued between the farmers and the herders, and these are the issues we are trying to solve,” he stated.
“But know that most of the violence and incessant killings you are hearing in some parts of this country are perpetrated by mostly those that find their way into the country through our porous borders.”
He called for stronger inter-agency collaboration to tighten border control and monitor entry points into Nigeria.
These are well-known intelligence FACTS right from the early 2000s when the IRRESPONSIBLE foreign West African Fulani herders and bandits menace started with the killings of indigenous Hausa people of Nigeria and Niger Republic on their farms and settlements before it even spread to other regions of Nigeria. The Southern media actually underreported the killings in the North of Nigeria in the 2000s by these notorious foreign Fulani herders and bandits but the Northern media outlets reported these incidents that started during the OBJ Presidency back from the early 2000s.

WELCOME ADDRESS BY GOVERNOR CHUKWUMA CHARLES SOLUDO, CFR ON THE OCASSION OF THE GRAND RECEPTION FOR H.E PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR DURING HIS STATE VISIT TO ANAMBRA STATE, 8TH May 2025
1. PROTOCOLS
2. On behalf of the government and great people of Anambra State, I am greatly honoured to welcome you, our dear President, to Anambra State – the Light of the Nation! Nnoo Asiwaju! Nnoo Omenife Awka! Welcome to Anambra, the land of enterprise, knowledge, and leadership. Welcome to the home to many of Nigeria’s and Africa’s founding fathers and leaders past—Zik of Africa, Nwafor-Orizu, Odumegwu Ojukwu, Alex Ekwueme, Edwin Ume-Ezeoke, Kenneth Dike, Margaret Ekpo, Chinua Achebe, Pius Okigbo, Chuba Okadigbo, etc. Welcome to the home of Africa’s statesman, Chief Emeka Anyaoku. Welcome to the home of the Cardinals--- Arinze and Okpaleke, as well as Blessed Iwene Tansi. Yes, welcome to the home of West Africa’s largest market and automobile hub as well as home to thousands of Africa’s shining entrepreneurs and innovators. Welcome to Anambra, the land of infinite possibilities! Yes, welcome to Anambra, reputed over the past three months, as the safest state in Nigeria! Finally, welcome to Anambra, the land of the progressives!
3. Your visit to Anambra State today is historic and consequential. The last state visit by a President was in 2012, ostensibly to commission a brewery and another private enterprise. This visit is not just to commission projects. We have over 500km of roads, flyovers/bridges completed and waiting for commissioning; five new general hospitals and world class trauma centre completed and waiting for commissioning; smart schools and water projects waiting for commissioning; new markets and bus terminal; etc. Previously, we have insisted that the users of our roads and projects should be the ones to commission them—keke and bus drivers, farmers, traders, etc. We are strategic in our choice of projects deserving your attention.Today, Mr. President, you have unveiled two mini-cities (the brochure for this event describes them fully), the 8-lane boulevard, the tower of light and monument of heroes—as symbolisms of the audacity of our dreams for a new Anambra. Like the Americans would say, and as we repeatedly affirm to Ndi Anambra, “you ain’t seen nothing yet”!
Islie: President Bola Tinubu says he is working with Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra, for the growth of the state.
Tinubu on Thursday arrived in Anambra for his first official visit to the state since he became president.
During the visit, the president inaugurated the newly constructed Anambra government house, Soludo Fun City, and other projects.
While speaking at the Alex Ekwueme Square, Tinubu applauded Soludo for laying a good foundation in the state, adding that Anambra is on the rise.
The president said the massive infrastructural projects in the state aligns with Soludo’s vision for Anambra to become the Dubai, Taiwan, Silicon Valley of Africa.
Jokingly, the president asked Soludo, who he described as his friend, to get him a land in Anambra for him to build his retirement home.
“I have just commissioned two landmark projects—the Solution Fun City and the government house mini-city as part of the initial steps on the path towards your audacious vision of Anambra as African-Dubai-Taiwan-Silicon Valley (ADTS),” Tinubu said.
“Together with the massive infrastructural transformation and human capital development, these are bold statements of vision and what leadership can achieve in such a short time.
“A few years ago, Dubai was largely a desert. Today, it is a global hub, because one man dared to dream. I remember when Soludo wanted to consolidate the Nigerian banks, and many said it was impossible.
“It was done and Nigeria became better for it. I also recall when we dared to tame the Atlantic Ocean, and many naysayers doubted it. But we made it happen. Anambra has huge potential and with Soludo, we can all work together to fast-track the vision.
Lanrelagboi: The Lagos State Government has reported that the Mushin Fresh Food Agro-Hub generated N2.495 billion in transactions during its first year of operation, facilitated by 348 vendors.
Ms. Abisola Olusanya, the State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food System, shared the figure in a statement issued to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday.
The food hub attracted 75,000 visitors who participated in trading activities during the 81 market days it held for commercial transactions.
Ms. Abisola Olusanya, the State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food System, highlighted that the Mushin Fresh Food Agro-Hub is not just a market, but a catalyst for change in food distribution management in Lagos.
By providing farmers and traders with a reliable platform to sell their produce, the hub has ensured fair pricing, reduced post-harvest losses, and created a more efficient supply chain benefiting everyone from producers to consumers.
Socio-economic growth and community empowerment Since its establishment, the food hub has been a driving force for socio-economic growth, offering a transparent and organised market to farmers and traders.
“The hub has boosted the livelihoods of vendors and market women, improved food accessibility for Lagosians through fair and affordable pricing, created job opportunities, and contributed to the economic growth of the community,” Olusanya said.
She also emphasized that the hub’s impact extends beyond Mushin, playing a significant role in driving the state’s economic development by bridging the gap between rural producers and urban consumers
“The Mushin Fresh Food Agro-Hub stands as a model of innovation and sustainability, not only for Lagos but for Nigeria and Africa as a whole.”
Expanding food security projects across Lagos She also highlighted ongoing projects under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration, including the Lagos Logistics Hub in Epe and additional fresh food agro-hubs under construction at strategic locations across the state.
“These projects aim to streamline food supply chains, enhance food security, and create economic opportunities for Lagos’ growing population.”
According to Olusanya, the initiative demonstrates the effectiveness of strategic solutions in addressing systemic challenges, empowering communities, and fostering economic growth.
The commissioner praised the Sanwo-Olu-led administration for its commitment to delivering impactful projects that prioritize food security and economic empowerment for residents.
“The fresh food agro-hub is proof that innovative, community-focused initiatives can reshape economies, improve livelihoods, and create a more secure and prosperous future for everyone involved,” she concluded.
More insights The Mushin Fresh Food Agro-Hub was established in 2023 on a 6,400 square metre site in Idi-Oro, providing a structured and organised marketplace designed to reduce farmers’ reliance on middlemen.
The facility spans 3,017 square metres dedicated to parking for trailers and other vehicles, alongside central wet and dry storage areas.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, Ms. Abisola Olusanya, is planning to achieve a 50% reduction in food prices by establishing a central food system and logistics hub in Lagos. This hub aims to reduce food transportation costs and minimize post-harvest losses, ultimately making food more affordable for Lagos residents, according to a report by Business News Nigeria.
Key Features of the Food Hub:
Integrated Facilities: The hub will include cold and dry storage, a large abattoir, and a jetty for efficient transportation of goods.
Reduced Transportation Costs: The hub aims to reduce the cost of transporting food from farms to markets, which is a major factor in food prices.
Minimized Post-Harvest Losses: By providing storage facilities, the hub will help reduce food spoilage and waste, further contributing to lower prices.
Increased Food Availability: The hub is expected to increase the overall availability of food in Lagos, leading to more competitive pricing.
Expected Benefits: 50% Reduction in Food Prices: The primary goal is to reduce food prices by a significant margin, making food more accessible to the public.
Boosted Food Security: The hub is part of a broader strategy to improve food security in Lagos State. Increased Economic Activity: The hub is expected to create new jobs and stimulate economic activity in the agricultural sector.
Some Lagos State foodstuff traders and consumers have expressed excitement over the recent drop in the prices of foodstuff.
The consumers and traders disclosed this in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Lagos.
They, however, hoped for the sustainability of the price drop as consumers were beginning to enjoy the respite.
A foodstuff trader at the Dopemu area of the state, Mr Sunday Okwudiri, said the price drop was beneficial to both consumers and traders, a situation he attributed to reduced cost of transportation.
“It is true that the prices of most food items have dropped and we are grateful for that. Food items such as rice, beans and garri have witnessed a commensurate drop in their prices.
“We sold a 50kg bag of rice last December between N80,000 and N90,000, but now the same quantity of rice sells between N70,000 and N75,000.
“We really cannot tell the reason for the drop in the food prices but one good indicator is that the expenses incurred in logistics have significantly dropped.
“Like traders will say, ‘road don free small’. We hope it continues like that,” Okwudiri said.
Another foodstuff trader at the Agege area of the state, Mr John Nwabueze, also alluded to the recent drop in the price of food items, which he attributed to the harvest season of some produce.
“The price of food items especially rice and beans is really dropping gradually as we have observed since the year began.
“As of the first week of January, we sold a bag of rice between N90,000 and N96,000 but now the same bag goes for N76,000.
“Beans have been dropping more and more since last year. As of November 2024, we had beans at the highest price. An average bag was sold for as high as N230,000 to N270,000 but now the same quantity sells for N80,000.

“We really cannot tell the reasons for the drop in the price of these food items but we are glad they are dropping.
“We are also in the harvest season for some of these produce,” Nwabueze said.
Mrs Judith Amen, another foodstuff trader at the Amuwo area of the state, also corroborated the slight drop in some food prices.
“Well, there is a slight drop in the price of rice but not so much. A bag of good quality rice sells at N82,000 as against N90,000 to N95,000 it was sold for earlier.
“The bag of rice that sell at N75,000 per bag are not high quality rice as some may get mushy easily when boiled.
“The price of beans have been dropping since late last year. This is the season of beans because it is being harvested.
“A 60kg of beans used to sell up to N300,000 per bag but now sells between N150,000 and N90,000 depending on the variety.
“A bag of garri now sells between N35,000 and N45, 000 as against N60,000. So, we can say there is a drop,” Amen said.
Also, Mrs Lilian Agunbiade, a resident at Agege area of state, said the joy of being able to buy foodstuff and getting all your supplies is next to none.
“I went to the market this weekend to stock up for my household and my business and I observed some prices of the foodstuff items have actually dropped.
“This drop in price is indeed a welcome development. I bought a paint bucket of garri (cassava granules) between N3,200 and N3,500 in January but it sells at N2,000 for a paint bucket.
“Also, the price of vegetable oil has considerably dropped, as at December 2024, it sold for more than N100,000 for a 25 litre keg.
“But presently, the same quantity of vegetable oil has dropped down to N70,000 or N75,000 depending on the brand.
“Also, the price of baking flour has also dropped. A 50kg bag of all purpose flour used to sell at N62,000 but now it sells at N59,000.
“Generally, I observed all the prices of foodstuff items dropped a little bit almost across all products sold in the market.
“I am happy to purchase at the rate I did and got the items I needed for my house. I think the drop may be related to the drop of the dollar in comparison to the Naira, we hope it continues like this,” Agunbiade said.
On her part, Mrs Eugenia Uloma, a housewife and resident at Egbeda area of the state, expressed scepticism over the price drop while hoping it would be sustained.
“Well, I cannot say the price of foodstuff items have really dropped, because it is slight drop.
“Some food items have witnessed price drop because it is their season, beans is being harvested, so the price will definitely drop early in the year.
“The price of crayfish actually dropped too, I used to buy a paint bucket for N11,000 but now it sells at N8,000.
“If the drop is true, we just hope it will not rise again,” Uloma said.
LegendHero: I have repeatedly stated that @PeterObi's stance is questionably and patently dishonest if not outrightly DUMB.
He seems to imply that protests against @GEJonathan’s economic policies were unnecessary, given his role as an Economic Adviser in that administration, they were all supporting themselves by looting Nigeria dry including the role of his Fidelity Bank assisting Diezani to move hard cold cash.
However, this raises concerns about his perspective on the current wicked Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT regime. If he believes protests are unwarranted under @GEJonathan why should Tinubu’s handlers not hold the same view, after all, they claim that their economic policies are for the good of Nigerians even though our people are dying in droves and they too have looted Nigeria dry in less than two years.
Moreover, if protesters against @GEJonathan’s policies have lost steam, or the former protesters sold out, what prevents his Obidient movement from initiating new protests?
Notably, his Obidient movement did not protest the presidential election results which they've repeatedly claimed he won, nor did they participate in the #EndBadGovernance protests in 2024 claiming it was set up by “controlled opposition”
Furthermore, they did not oppose the Naira redesign policy because the corrupt Formee Central Bank of Nigeria’s Governor, Godwin Emeriele was their ally, even with the fuel price hikes he is speaking about here, there was not a time he ever led or encouraged Nigerians to oppose it.
Since the establishment of his GBAJUE movt, not once has anything been done other than inaction or gaslighting other Nigerians, especially those who rightly didn't support his political agenda, which was to replace a corrupt set of politicians with his anointed set of corrupt opportunists, they are all now back in @OfficialAPCNg including his closest lieutenants, these events have exposed their false claim about their commitment to driving change.
Like #EndSARS, he is hoping to benefit from the sweat and blood of others without a finger raised to challenge injustice even against his own “obidient” members.
MC Oluomo’s daughter clocked 30 in style—and walked right into forever.
What started as a surprise birthday bash turned into a heart-melting proposal that no one saw coming, especially not the celebrant. In the middle of the festivities, her man went down on one knee, and the room erupted. Shocked and overwhelmed, she literally sat on the stage floor, catching her breath as friends surrounded her, chanting,
She said yes. But not before giving us a moment—pure, unfiltered emotion, the kind you don’t stage.
And if you’re wondering what kind of man pulls off this kind of move, here’s what she had to say after the proposal:
The chieftaincy title conferred on him was the highest possible, and the entire stadium chanted some traditional incantations along with the traditional priest as he bestowed the chieftaincy title on Mr President.
It was quite a spectacle.
Tinubu then made a speech in which he agreed to every request made by Soludo, from erosion assistance to rail to major roads, as the stadium erupted in cheers and applause.
It was a good outing for Mr President, for Anambra state, and for Soludo, who was beaming with smiles throughout the day.
Earlier today in Anambra State, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was conferred with the traditional Igbo title ‘Dike Si-Mba 1’, meaning “Strong Man from Another Land.”
The ceremony was part of his visit to the Southeast and was seen as a gesture of cultural recognition and respect.
I see. So... What about giving the Nigerian President Tinubu an Igala title as well?
Indigenous Igalas have historically existed in the location of what is now Anambra State for over 600 years. The red chieftaincy cap is an evidence of Igala ascendancy and was originally introduced by the Igalas into the Nsuka area in the current Enugu State and other areas of the current Anambra were they had influence or left footprints from centuries back.
Beautiful.Mind2: As Ndi-Anambra prepares to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the official commissioning of the New Anambra State government house, lodge and other ancillary buildings, Gov Soludo has broken more than three decades of jinx to give Ndi-Anambra a befitting Obi-government Ndi-Anambra. This massive legacy project can never be erased from our minds and generations to come.

Two firsts were recorded, both symbolic of the mobile revolution. On May 6, 2001, Econet Wireless made Nigeria’s very first GSM call. This pioneering moment marked the technical birth of mobile communication in Nigeria. The-then Chairman Strive Masiyiwa, made the very first GSM call on May 6, 2001, to the NCC regulator, announcing, “We’re live!” In his own words,
"I had the privilege of making Nigeria’s first GSM phone call back in 2001 when I called the regulator to say, ‘We’re live!’."
Reflecting on the historic moment, Masiyiwa described it as a symbol of enterprise in Africa. Ten days later on May 16, 2001, MTN Nigeria made its own historic first GSM call at Maritime House in Apapa, Lagos. By August 7, 2001, Econet began commercial operations, followed shortly by MTN.
Strive Masiyiwa is a Forbes-listed USD billionaire and Zimbabwe's richest man.
As indicated right ABOVE, he had the privilege of making Nigeria's FIRST EVER GSM phone call back in 2001 being the then Chairman and founder of Econet Wireless!

“Strong corporate performance is likely to sustain investor interest and support further market gains. Additionally, the recent resurgence in foreign participation in the equities market presents a significant upside.

placeofallure: Could be, you don't mix well with the people. Even for the Yoruba-speaking part of Kogi, they use the slang "Darosa" for someone who spends generously.
The young guy you quoted above stated clearly that he was still in the University in 2011, so he was born sometime in the 1990s and as you said, he probably "didn't mix well" with the people.
The older folks in Yorubaland especially starting from Lagos Island (and those who are younger but mixed well know with older folks) know full well about the Bahia, Brazil-born, Candido Da Rocha [who is of Ijesa-Yoruba descent through his father Esan Da Rocha from the current Osun State who unfortunately fell victim to the trans-Atlantic slave trade in the early 1800s and was deported on a slave ship to Bahia in Brazil. He fortunately returned to Yorubaland in the late 1800s with his son, Candido Da Rocha and his wife] and Candido's name being used as a metaphor for many decades now since the time he was alive to describe his wealth and generosity from being the FIRST EVER Pound Sterling millionaire of Nigerian descent.
Candido Da Rocha is the one who built the famous "Water House" or ,"Casa d'Agua" mansion located on Kakawa Street on Lagos Island.
franchasng: Sir Louis Ojukwu, the first documented richest black man and billionaire in Nigeria & Africa
If you are in doubt, use Google
This information right above is gross historical disinformation! Louis Ojukwu was NEVER the first documented richest man either in Africa or Nigeria. Candido Da Rocha is the FIRST EVER documented Nigerian to become a pound millionaire. Candido Da Rocha was a very wealthy businessmen and financier of Ijesa-Yoruba descent who was born in Bahia, Brazil, before he and his Yoruba parents returned in the late 1800s to live on Lagos Island (Eko) in Nigeria.
This is the problem I have with some young journalists who CLEARLY do NOT read historical books and archival materials OR do their research properly BUT end up in advertently and even deliberately spreading disinformation online and offline.
As CLEARLY stated, Louis Ojukwu was NEVER the richest man in Nigeria and he was NEVER the first African or Nigerian billionaire as indicated irresponsibly in this "Pulse Ng online publication." This is MISINFORMATION! Pulse has do urgently do a corrigendum so as NOT to further mislead impressionable people.
Alhassan Dantata was CLEARLY the richest Nigerian man when he was alive NOT Louis Ojukwu who ONLY made his FIRST millions from Yorubaland by reselling the lands he bought at a cheaper cost from the indigenes of Iruland (Victoria Island, Lagos State) to the British Colonialists who needed land for development as CLEARLY stated in Frederick Forsyth's 1969 "Biafra Story" book on the Nigerian Civil War. Frederick Forsyth was Emeka Ojukwu's close friend so the information about Louis Ojukwu's first ever million pounds made from selling his Lagos land which he earlier bought on lease from the indigenes of Iruland (the Yoruba name of Victoria Island) to the British Colonialists as stated in the book (which I have read and I have a copy of the 1969 book in my personal home library for decades now is very credible).
Candido Da Rocha (who is of Ijesa-Yoruba descent but was born in Bahia, Brazil in the 1800s to an Ijesa father) was the FIRST EVER Nigerian Pound Sterling millionaire. He was a financier and wealthy businessmen who built the massive mansion on Kakawa Street, Lagos Island named "Water House" mansion because it was the first point on Lagos Island where potable water was first sold. The water facility was built by Candido Da Rocha himself.
Second, and this is the problem I have with some young journalists who CLEARLY do NOT read historical materials and books OR do their research properly BUT end up in advertently and even deliberately spreading disinformation, Louis Ojukwu was NEVER the richest man in Nigeria and he was NEVER the first African billionaire as indicated irresponsibly in this "Pulse online publication." dailybuzzng: Inspiration Behind First Drone Show in West Africa, SSA to the President Princess Atika Ajanah Reveals
The first drone show in Nigeria and West Africa, which ushered the countdown to the New Year 2024 was not only historic but remarkable and has continued to dominate discourse in social events cycle.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the colourful New Year countdown show, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Social Event, Princess Atika Ajanah in an interview with AlexReports said the idea was drawn from her travels across major parts of the world.
According to her, "Drone show is something I'd always watched and admired. We've traveled to Singapore, Paris and other parts of the world, we have seen how they put up beautiful shows to countdown to a new year. "Drone show is usually the side attraction and I said, why can't we have drone show in Nigeria. So when the opportunity came and I was made SSA to the President on Social Events, that gave me opportunity to come up with fresh ideas. We put up a proposal and it was approved, and it turned out to be more colourful than what we actually expected", she said.
While stating that she is committed to bringing new aura to government statutory events, including democracy day, independence anniversary and others, Princess Atika reiterated her commitment to record several firsts in social events, not just in Nigeria but Africa.
According to her, the countdown drone show was an opportunity to project the country alongside other developed and developing countries and exhibit the rich cultural heritage of the country, exhibited in colourful native attires and local dishes to the global community.
emkz: What exactly are they looking for in the reports?
What we heard during campaigns:
1. Tinubu is not well.
2. Tinubu did not attend primary and secondary schools.
3. Tinubu is a drug dealer.
4. Tinubu did not graduate from Chicago State University. After someone went to do a deposition, it was established that Tinubu did graduate. So they shifted narrative that Tinubu used someone's identity.
5. After Tinubu won because they were too distracted to focus on winning, they said Tinubu bribed INEC chairman. If they had brains, they could have said Tinubu bribed state RECs and returning officers, because the results were not read by INEC boss but by returning officers. INEC boss only read out the final compiled results.
6. Tinubu has a Guinean passport.
7. FBI and CIA have 2,500 pages on Tinubu.
8. Hand dey shake, leg dey shake, Baba wey no well, he dey shout emilokan.
9. Tinubu is a CIA asset.
One thing is that even if people deny the obvious, even if Tinubu is everything they say he is; those who lost elections are licking their wounds. Instead of understanding why, they are looking for dirt to throw. The biggest issue with those fighting Tinubu is the harvest of self-contradictions. Some people are already celebrating FBI and CIA files. Maybe the new information would be that Tinubu has three eyes or 5 additional legs.
If all the things peddled against him could not stop his victory, would the things peddled now help the opponents get traction? Even if you give the opposition a smoking gun, they'd misuse it.
Emefiele and Arise News handed them a smoking gun with naira repainting voodoo and media propaganda against Tinubu with the likes of Rufai Oseni ordering Tinubu to come to their studios to face interrogation. At the end, the principal flagbearer picked a weightless running mate, refused to reconcile warring parties and went into an election.
They lost. They are losing their own base now, but Tinubu is their problem!
Their problem is spiritual, caused by village people using their brain to play two direct.
The Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu now has to take STRONGER actions to ensure that ANYBODY who is deliberately spreading these massive online disinformation and FAKE news get arrested and punished legally through the courts for outright spread of FALSEHOODS. Tinubu himself is LARGELY responsible over the years for inadvertently allowing these FAKE stories to spread by NOT punishing these political opponents and dealing ruthlessly with the largely paid ipob troll farms located in multiple countries of Nigeria, South Africa, North America, Europe, Asia, etc, as CLEARLY exposed by the "BBC Global Disinformation Team" investigative video report of 2022 which can still be seen online and other media indicting paid ipob troll farms, ipob members and sympathizers for spreading massive disinformation using FB, X, YouTube, WhatsApp, and even Nairaland which are meant to destabilize Nigeria and cause ethnic divisions and internal tensions.
As far back as 2003, the United States Embassy CLEARLY stated that the then Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Lagos State was NOT a drug baron OR wanted for any criminal case and has NO CRIMINAL records in the FBI National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database of ALL convicted criminals in the United States' modern history through the then Legal Attache of the United States Embassy in Lagos.
If Bola Tinubu ensures that at least 500 to 1000 of these criminal defamers (including that irresponsible youth born just in 1990 called Hundeyin, who was EXPELLED from Oxford University in early 2024 for FRAUD and sexism along with another Nigerian male accomplice) get punished through the courts for the WORSE forms of criminal defamation I have ever seen in my life (which have severely tarnished Bola Tinubu's image online and offline because he didn't act EARLY to punish those spreading these massive falsehoods), it would send a VERY strong message to others that defamation of character is NEVER gonna be tolerated anywhere in the world. Period.
The screenshot of President Bola Tinubu in New York that you attached to your post added more CLARITY and EXPOSED one of the many relentless lies and criminal disinformation these paid ipob troll farms have been spreading as exposed by the BBC Global Disinformation Team investigative video of May 2022. These paid gang of troll farms from the South East of Nigeria truly have NO shame and are highly irresponsible and dishonest.
Bola Tinubu has been traveling to the United States in his private jet even before he became the President and he travels to the United States every year either on official or private capacity with his family.
mohbadliveson: The boy looks angry or is that his natural look?
If that is his natural look, fear dey catch me oo. This one won't smile if he becomes Rivers governor
The boy obviously has facial looks like his biological mother who is a Judge from Rivers State and NOT Nyesom Wike. It's unkind for some posters here to openly insinuate that Wike is NOT his biological father laced with irresponsible innuendoes.
Second, the picture offers some glimpses into the lives of father and son, BUT the picture also makes the boy appear withdrawn from his father based off of his body language on display. Nyesom seems much warmer BUT his boy looks withdrawn and NOT happy as of the time the photograph was taken.
Nevertheless, young and older people have their good days and bad days, so, father and son should be left to resolve whatever personal issues they have in their relationship. Period.
TimeManager: Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri , has advised ex-presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to beam the spotlight on his son, instead of President Bola Tinubu's son, Seyi Tinubu.
This was after Obi condemned the alleged abduction of a self-acclaimed NANS President who fingered Seyi Tinubu as the mastermind.
In a statement, Omokri described Seyi Tinubu as a responsible person, adding that the same could not be said of Obi's son.
He wrote on Facebook, "Dear Peter Obi, "Instead of spreading debunked lies about President Tinubu's son, Seyi Tinubu , being spread by the factional NANS President, why not put the spotlight on your own son, Oseloka? Honestly, I would have preferred not to say anything about your son, but you crossed the line by attacking Seyi Tinubu.
"Seyi Tinubu is in the same age bracket as your son, Oseloka Obi. Yet, Seyi Tinubu is married, has a known business that employs Nigerians and adds value to our country's Gross Domestic Product, and was in Nigeria throughout the campaigns, where he played the role of a dutiful son to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
"His wife, children, businesses and lifestyle are known to the Nigerian public.
"However, Peter, if you feel that you can post about Seyi Tinubu , and he is fair game for your political quips, which are meant to divert attention from your inability to respond to Governor Jide Sanwo-Olu's post exposing you, then Peter, where is your own son?
"Why was Oseloka not by your side during the campaigns? Is there something you are trying to hide? Are you ashamed of him?
