Saintp:
What device are they going to play the audio from? For the reading, will they give a question paper containing the passages or will you have to read from a device?
Please can you explain how the exam is administered. Thanks
Well, I understand where your concern stems from. At a point prior to my 1st attempt, I was tempted to ask if pen is allowed for the test grin.

To your question. The exam is paper based. For listening which comes first except in rare cases where it comes later, you'd all be given an infrared headphone, question paper and answer sheet. The listening audio is played from a central device but you only hear it through your headphone. So each test taker hears the tape individually. The headphone comes with volume control, you can adjust the volume to your comfort.

Reading comes next, you'd be given a booklet (question paper) where you have your passages and questions. No device, just paper. Answer sheet for reading is the back page of listening answer sheet. So, you have front page as listening answer sheet, back page as reading answer sheet. If your test starts with listening, your headphone will be collected during the reading test.

Writing follows, but your answer sheet which contains answers for both listening and reading is collected before writing starts. You'd then be given your writing question booklet and answer sheets - One sheet for task 1 and the other for task 2. The task is clearing written on the papers so you are to adhere strictly to using the right paper for the right task. The colours are different too, white and light brown. You are not to open the question paper till you're told to do so which most likely will be when every task taker has his question and answer sheets.

Hope this helps.

I hail my people,

IRCC no get joy these days o. Meanwhile, will one get a personal email notification when Medicals is passed or would it require checking online account on intervals. Ordinary AOR for about 10 days now.
Sometimes, you get a mail saying you application has been updated, sign in to check your status. But if you're like some of us that checks profile every 30 minutes, you'd probably get to see the update before the mail comes.

I got the mail a day after I noticed the medical passed. You might want to look in the range of 2 weeks for medical passed, just my observation though.

The second recipient is IRCC and it was stated that eDilevery-Delivered electronically will be used. Abeg I hope I will get it same day and open EE profile.
Your ECA soft copy will not be sent to your email but you will be able to download it from your WES profile. You'd receive a mail stating your evaluation has been completed and your soft copy accessible in your profile but after a certain period of time. You might have to wait a bit longer than the stated time but you will be able to download in not later than 24 hours.

Accra VO has taken more time to just stamp the visa than the Canada people. Na wa o. This is 3 weeks now and yet no PUM. Not like i am in a hurry but i would like to have it in my hand so my mind can rest.

We all are waiting for one thing or the other. Last last, we'd all smile.

Hello house

Please i need help as it concerns PCC.

i have been in nigeria since 2010 prior to that i was in the Uk for my master program. Do i need a PCC from Uk for my EE application? And i am not the PA.
If yes how do i go about getting one.
THX
You surely need a PCC even as a dependent if you stayed in any country for six months or more (straight or cumulative). Please go through this link https://www.acro.police.uk/Police_Certificates_Online.aspx or you may just hold a bit for more informed response.

Please peeps,

For IELTS (Listening), is there a Transcript (written text) of the conversations/Monologues that would be played?
Sir, If there's a transcript, then the listening is no more listening but turned to reading! There's no transcript and audio is only played once.

In order words, evaluating Bsc and Msc gives more point than evaluating only MSC right?
No. Gives same point as evaluating only MSc.

You'd get more points than BSc if you combine OND or HND to the BSc. Combining any other degree to MSc will not increase points awarded to just MSc

In hierarchy;
BSc
BSc and OND/HND or ACCA (obtained from a certain year I think) or OND and HND
MSc
PhD

Because not working does not pose as a barrier, ITS ACTUALLY A BARRIER
She's currently not working does not necessarily mean she hasn't worked before. If she has work experience in acceptable NOCs within the last 10 years she can use, then it's not. More so, if what she has is up to three years, then she's good on work experience.

This is not the standard across all banks in Nigeria. I know GTB operates this way, they separate their Dom account from the Dollar debit card account. I.e. you must transfer from your USD A/c to the card account to transact with the Card.

Some banks link the Dollar Debit card directly to your main Bank USD A/c, so your transact directly on the main account.

If your card is a USD credit card, its always separate from your main account
Great. I was talking from GT's point but figured it might not be across board with elfmann's query... Thanks for clarifying.

Hi, not sure if you've got answer to this but I didn't receive any mail, I doubt they send one to applicants. The 8 - 10 weeks (or more) starts counting from the day you applied.

I don't still get it.. Money is in Accts, not cards. We use cards to access accts. Ebho, come and explain more.
Bro, the Dollar card does not work like the Naira card which guarantees automatic access to your Naira account. If you have a USD dorm account, holding a Dollar card for that account is optional but if you request for a card, a sub account will be opened for the card. In effect, the card does not give you access to your dorm account. For example, if you have say $10k in your dorm account, you can't spend that money using your card unless you first transfer the money to the card account.

To bring it home, you have a dorm account with a credit of $60k (twale alaye Santino1 grin) and you want to pay for your family's app fee + RPRF which cost $2,080. Just by virtue of you holding a dollar card will not make the transaction successful if you fill in the card details, but you have to first move $2,080 or more from your dorm account to the Dollar account before the transaction can go through. So, you can have $57k in your dorm account and just $3k in your card account.

Due to card frauds and bois not smiling, your money is much more safer in the dorm account than in the card account. Hence, it's usually advised you keep the barest minimum or just what you need at the moment in your card as your money might mysteriously grow wings one beautiful night [s]while you're samankweing. Imagine receiving a $60k debit alert in the act [/s] grin.

Question 1 : I started my work life in May 2010 where i worked as a credit Analyst for 6 months. After which i was moved to Marketing. I worked as a Marketing staff from November 2010 till August 2012. I then resigned and went for one year masters from Sep. 2012.

I came back to the same bank in August 2014 as a credit analyst.]My question is do i need to put my prior years’ experience before masters or do i just include the post masters experience as it accounts for over 3years work experience to claim the maximum points?

If i need to include the Marketing experience is the NOC okay as 6235.

Question 2: My husband is self-employed. DO i need to include his work experience when creating a profile? Also I do not plan to do ECA for his degree, do I need to include his degree when creating a profile and select ECA not done.

Please family help me with the above enquiry
Q1.) If I were you, I'd just use the work experience of the three years only. The three years gives you maximum points, you then fill the rest in your personal history post ITA.

Q2.) To prove self employed, you need some paper works which isn't too much of a big deal to get but you can save yourself (your husband actually) the trouble of going through that stress as your spouse won't be awarded any point for work experience gained outside Canada. Long and short, answer No when asked if your spouse has work experience. For the degree, you have the right answer. Select ECA not done.

I believe you can use any or both. Just follow CIC's requirement and you're good, if you can't get your bank to give you the letter in the required format, you can resort to six months statement of account. You may however do a covering letter if you're using more than one account/source.

When will I be required to pay application fees? It already gave me the option to pay application+PPR fee or application only and i picked application only...yet it did not bring option to make the payment.

Is it at the point of submission i will make the payment? Or at what point please?

That question you answered is just to populate your fees. Payment is not immediately after that but the very last page. Once you’ve uploaded all documents, you’d see option to proceed after calculation of your fees is displayed. Then you’d be asked to pick what type of card you’re using then the page to fill in card details comes up.

I can’t recollect well but you surely can’t miss it. Just keep going, you’d get there.
